Price drop: Vivo Y50 and Vivo S1 Pro price reduced by Rs 1,000 in India

Both the smartphones are now available for purchase at the a new pricing

The Chinese smartphone, Vivo, has announced new pricing for Vivo Y50 and Vivo S1 Pro. Both the devices will now be available at reduced pricing. The new pricing has now been flashed on both Flipkart as well as Amazon in India. To recall, Y50 was launched a few months back this year whereas S1 Pro was launched earlier this year.

Vivo S1 Pro and Vivo Y50 new pricing and availability details

This is not the first time that the company has reduced the price of the Vivo S1 Pro. Since its launch, the device has received two price cuts in India and this the third time. With the new pricing, it would not be accessible at Rs 18,990 for the single 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage variant down from Rs 19,990. Available in three colour options Vivo S1 Pro can now be purchased at new pricing via AmazonFlipkart, Vivo online store as well as offline retailers across the country.

On the other hand, Vivo Y50 can now be purchased at Rs 16,990 for the 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage variant in India. Though it was launched in June with a price tag of Rs 17,990. It comes in Iris Blue and Pearl White colour options and can now be purchased via Amazon, Flipkart, Vivo online store and offline retailers in the country.

Vivo S1 Pro specs

Vivo S1 Pro comes with a 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels of resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.2 powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. The device comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W Dual Engine fast charging support.

For optics, there is a diamond-shaped quad rear camera set up that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, two 2-megapixel macro and a depth sensor. Upfront there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor.

Vivo Y50 specs

Vivo Y50 features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixels of resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Funtouch 10 based on Android 10. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with  8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. The device boasts a 5,000mAh battery and does not include any fast charging support.

For photos and videos, there is a quad rear camera that comprises a 13-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel super-wide-angle lens with 120 degrees of field view (FoV). Further supported by a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portraits and a 2-megapixel macro lens. While on the front there is a 16-megapixel sensor housed inside a hole-punch display for taking selfies and video calling.
