With the rise of the Samsung Galaxy A-series devices, the other budget-friendly smartphone of the South Korean technology giant aimed at millennials seems forgotten? The Samsung Galaxy M-series came before the launch of the new Galaxy A-series, but it looks like the newly launched devices of the A-series is grabbing all the headlines. On that note, the last launched device from the Galaxy M-series was the Samsung Galaxy M30 and it came with good specifications such as the triple-rear camera setup, Super AMOLED display and a big battery. But now, according to a new rumour, the next device in the Galaxy M-series is going to be the Samsung Galaxy M40. A listing on the Wi-Fi Alliance database revealed the details about the new smartphone.

According to the report, the Galaxy M40 holds a model number SM-M405F/DS and it will be the next budget-friendly device from Samsung. The listing reveals some of the features of the new Galaxy M40, such as it will run Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box and it will most probably have 128GB of internal storage. However, it is not clear if the Galaxy M40 will come with just one variant bringing 128GB storage or multiple variants. It should be noted that the sibling of the Galaxy M40, the Galaxy M30 came with only one variant so the bigger brother of the device might too follow the same footsteps.

Moreover, it is estimated that the Samsung Galaxy M40 might come with 5,000mAh battery sporting a Super AMOLED display panel. It will most likely have a triple-rear camera setup similar to the Galaxy M30. But the development and the existence of the Galaxy M40 is still not official as Samsung has made no comment on it.

If we recall, Samsung had launched the M-series devices in January with the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20. Both of which were budget-friendly devices from the South Korean tech giant launched to take on Xiaomi. And the Galaxy M-series has done considerably well in the Indian market as it has sold millions of units.

The next device was the Galaxy M30 with the Super AMOLED display panel and triple-rear camera and a 5,000mAh battery. The Galaxy M30 was one tough device to beat by other Chinese companies as it offered the customers everything without being too expensive and still holding the Samsung brand. It was also priced in the mid-range segment, so the upcoming Galaxy M40 is also expected to be priced similarly. And more importantly, it is expected to be more powerful and offer more than what the Samsung Galaxy M30 does.
