Samsung today announced the relocation of Samsung R&D Institute, Noida (SRI-N) and Samsung Design Delhi (SDD) to Greater Noida which is housed in an IGBC LEED Platinum rated campus. The new office campus is housed in the Candor TechSpace building on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and spans 10 floors, totalling 377,118 square feet. The new Candor TechSpace building houses the new office campus, which spans ten floors.
Samsung Design Delhi and Samsung R&D Institute, Noida, have relocated to a new 377,118 sq ft modern office on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. In the Candor TechSpace building, the new office campus is spread over ten floors.
The hot desking concept is used in the workspace, which allows people to sit where they want and collaborate more effectively.
According to Samsung the SRI-N and SDD building’s design is inspired by the India Gate. The new workspace is designed with egalitarian linear workstations in mind, and each floor has a social hub at the entrance to encourage employee interaction, communication, and open collaboration. The majority of the workstations have natural light and amenities such as a social hub, recreation, and meeting rooms. For better ergonomics, the space also includes height-adjustable workstations that can also be used as standing desks. Moreover, people can choose where they want to sit in the workspace thanks to the hot desking concept. SRI-N employees use an internal app to select their seats for the week. Members of different teams working on a project can use the app to choose to sit together and collaborate more effectively.
Biophilia, or indoor plants in planters, is spread throughout the office as part of this principle. In addition to this Indoor Air Quality sensors are also installed on the work floors.
As per the company, SRI-N’s new office includes a number of labs equipped with cutting-edge technology for evaluating smartphone device performance, stability, and IoT capabilities.
The campus also includes a multi-format experiential cafeteria, training hub, crèche, gymnasium, wellness centre, daycare, banks/ATMs, cafes, restaurants, various recreational amenities, and EV charging stations to ensure maximum comfort and convenience for employees.
Furthermore, the campus has been thoughtfully designed with the needs of the specially-abled in mind. To make the campus more accessible and inclusive for everyone, braille and tactile indicators are used in every area, including pathways, parking, lobbies, lifts, staircases, and restrooms.
Mr. KY Roo, Managing Director, Samsung R&D Institute, Noida, commented, “We are thrilled to announce the new location for Samsung R&D Institute, Noida.
