Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has announced the launch of its latest mid-ranger in its domestic market China. The company has introduced iQOO U1 that comes with a punch-hole design display and triple rear camera set up. In addition to this, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 720G processor and runs on Android 10. Until now this is the company’s most budget-friendly offering by the company that has been brought just after the company’s affordable 5G smartphone iQOO Z1x that was released last week.
iQOO U1 price and availability
iQOO U1 has been launched in multiple configurations of 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage option and 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage. The 64GB variant has been priced at CNY 1,198 that comes around Rs 12,900 while the 128GB storage model has been launched with a price tag of CNY 1,398 that translates to Rs 15,000. The 8GB RAM price has been set at CNY 1,598 that translates to RS 17,200. The device will be offered in three colour options of Secret Black, Star Blue, and Sunny Forest White. It is scheduled to go on sale in China starting July 23. The information with regard to International availability is not yet known.
iQOO U1 specifications
iQOO U1 comes with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. Also, it offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90.72 percent screen to body ratio. The handset runs on iQoo UI based on top of Android 10. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Snapdragon 720G chipset paired with Adreno 618 GPU for graphics. It comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
For photos and videos, there is a triple camera setup on the back of the iQOO U1 that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 of aperture. In addition to this, there is a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 of aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. While on the front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.05 of aperture.
On the connectivity front, the device includes a dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. The sensors on the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gravity sensor, and compass. iQOO U1 equips a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging along with OTG reverse charging support.
