Vivo to launch 8GB RAM variant of Vivo U20 in India soon

Few weeks ago the Chinese smartphone company Vivo introduced Vivo U20 in India. The phone has been launched under the budget segment by the company. Currently, the smartphone is only available in two RAM variants 4GB and 6GB but soon the company is planning to introduce another variant that is 8GB of RAM model.

Recently Vivo introduced Vivo U20 in two configurations now the reports suggest that on December 12 the company will launch the device in an 8GB RAM variant. As per a report by 91Mobiles Vivo U20 will soon arrive with 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. The current variants that are available in the market offer 64GB of internal storage but now the users will get another option to choose from. The 8GB variant is also speculated to carry a price tag of Rs 18,990. According to the report, the new variant will only be available through offline mode in the country

Vivo U20 pricing

The existing models of Vivo U20 come in 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage. The 4GB RAM variant is available in the country at Rs 10,990 whereas the 6GB variants come with a price tag of Rs 11,990. The handset is available in two colour options Racing Black and Blaze Blue and can be purchased via e-commerce website Amazon as well as Vivo e-shop.

Vivo U20 specifications

Vivo U20 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone runs on Android Pie with Funtouch OS 9 skinned on top. The handset comes with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with 1080 x 2,340 pixels of resolution, 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and 480 nits of peak brightness. The phone draws it power from a 5000mAh battery that is supported by  18W Dual-Engine fast charger. There is an option to expand the internal memory to 256GB using a microSD card.

For photos and videos, Vivo U20 features a triple camera set on the rear panel supported by a 16-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX499 sensor. The camera system is aided by an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and video calling there is a 6-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

In terms of connectivity, Vivo u20 includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer, gyroscope, face unlock feature and a rear fingerprint sensor.
