Vivo Y51 (2020) tipped to arrive in India soon, to be priced under Rs 20,000

The device is said to replace Vivo S1 Pro, which was launched in January this year

After introducing all its V-series smartphones in India Vivo is now prepping up to bring another new smartphone in the country. Vivo Y51 (2020) is the company’s upcoming device and its expected pricing has now been revealed by a publisher. Recently the device has also bagged a BIS certification which has already confirmed that the company will any time make an announcement about its launch. To recall the smartphone was introduced first in Pakistan in September powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. It further includes a quad rear camera setup and runs Android 10 OS.

According to a report by MySmartPrice Vivo Y51 (2020) to make its Indian debut soon. Citing official sources, the device will make entry to the mid-range segment in the country and is also tipped to replace the Vivo S1 Pro, which was launched in January 2020. In addition to this the smartphone’s price will fall under Rs 20,000 price range. Recently the mid-range phone model number Vivo V2030 has received BIS certification from the India regulatory which clearly hints at imminent launch in India.

Vivo V51(2020) was introduced in Pakistan in a lone 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model priced at PKR 36,999 that translates to Rs 16,300. There the device is available in three colour options Mystic Black, Jazzy Blue and Dreamy White.

In terms of specifications, Vivo Y51(2020) comes with a Full-HD+ 6.38-inch AMOLED display with 1,080×2,340 pixels resolution with a waterdrop-style notch to house a selfie camera. The device also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and an Always-on Display mode. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB of storage using a microSD card. The mobile phone runs Funtouch OS 10, based on Android 10.

For photography, Vivo Y51 (2020) features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. In addition to this, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor. The camera set up includes palm capture, voice control, slow-motion recording, super macro, super night mode, and AI face beauty camera modes. While on the front there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

In addition to this Vivo Y51 (2020) packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
