The Chinese smartphone company, Vivo, today officially announced the launch of its latest smartphone in the Indian market. The company has introduced Vivo Y51(2020) in the country with an all-new design and features. Unlike Pakistan’s version of the device, the Indonesian variant has been introduced here. The device is powered by Qualcomm a Snapdragon 665 SoC, a different camera module design on the back and a 5,000mAh battery. Vivo Y51(2020) has been introduced in India in a single configuration of 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage. The price of the smartphone has been set at Rs 17,990 and will be offered in two colour options Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony. The device is now available for sale in the country via leading online store Flipkart, Amazon, and Vivo India e-store.

The launch offers on the smartphone include benefits of up to Rs 7,000 to Jio subscribers and financing options from Bajaj Finance, IDFC First Bank, HDB Financial Services, Home Credit and ZestFinance.

Vivo Y51 (2020) comes with a 6.58-inch full-HD+LCD display with 1,080×2,408 pixels of resolution and offers 1,080×2,408 pixels. The device has a triple card slot design (2 SIM cards + 1 Memory Card) that supports up to 1TB of memory expansion. Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It runs Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.

In terms of imaging Vivo Y51 (2020) features a different triple rear camera module design which includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture. In addition to this, the set up includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2, a 2-megapixel sensor with  f/2.4 aperture. The camera modes on this phone include Portrait, Photo, Video, Pano, Live Photo, Slo-Mo, Time-Lapse, Pro, DOC,Super Night Mode and more. While on the front there is a 16-megapixel camera sensor with  f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.

Unlike the variant launched in Pakistan this smartphone is fueled by a bigger 5,000mAh battery that comes with 18W fas and reverse charging support. It is claimed to deliver up to 14.3 hours of online HD movie streaming, or 7.26 hours of resource-intensive games. Apart from this, the handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with other sensors onboard that include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope and proximity sensor. For connectivity, there is dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, OTG, FM Radio, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo.
