Samsung is set to unveil new products including Galaxy foldables, Galaxy Book laptops, Buds, and Galaxy Watch wearables at its upcoming Unpacked event. Ahead of the launch event a leak has surfaced on the web revealing the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra US prices and colour options.
Passionategeekz, also known as Paras Guglani, provides 91mobiles with US prices and colour options for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra. As per the tipped information, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 will run you between $299 and $310, or about Rs 25,000. As per the report, there hasn’t been a price increase because the basic Galaxy Watch 6 is still $299. In addition to the the smartwatch is likely to come in Marble Grey, Cream White, and Forest Green colour options.
However, Samsung is expected to introduce its first wristwatch under the Ultra brand with the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The upcoming device is likely to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra/Ultra 2. The wearable could come in a single Titanium Gray shade. According to our source, the pricing range for the Watch Ultra 47mm is expected to be between USD 699 and about Rs 58,400 and USD 710 which translates to Rs 59,300.
In terms of specifications, Galaxy Watch 7 series from Samsung is rumoured to use a 3nm processor rather than the 5nm chipset found in the Galaxy Watch 6. It’s likely that they will provide 32GB of storage. The company may pit the Ultra variant against the Watch Ultra 2 from Apple, as said earlier.
It is rumoured that a titanium body and 47mm dial size will be offered for the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. It might come with a display that is predicted to produce 3,000 nits of peak brightness. According to reports, the wearable is IP58 rated, MIL-STD-810H durable, and certified to withstand 10ATM water pressure. A 590mAh battery, similar to the one found in the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, may be included. There is only a single LTE and Bluetooth version reportedly available. According to reports, the device is IP58 rated, MIL-STD-810H durable,
and certified to withstand 10ATM water pressure. A 590mAh battery, similar to the one found in the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, may be included. There is only a single LTE and Bluetooth version reportedly available.
The rumour states that the 40mm and 44mm versions of the Galaxy Watch 7 would be available in cream and green colour options. An alleged 300mAh battery powers the 40mm model, and a possible 425mAh battery powers the 44mm model. The maximum brightness display it may have is 2,000 nits.
It is claimed that the smartwatch glass is composed of sapphire crystal, while the case is reportedly built of Samsung’s Armour Aluminium 2. Reportedly, it maintains the 5 ATM, IP68, and MIL-STD-810H approved.

Samsung has just pushed out a cryptic post on its Instagram Handle. Speculation is rife regarding Samsung’s upcoming flagship model. The key question being asked is whether the new yellow colour variant will be introduced for the Galaxy S24+ or the S24 Ultra. As rumours circulate and leaks emerge, we take a closer look at what this vibrant addition could mean for Samsung’s latest lineup.
While some say it could be the mid-end version of the Samsung S24 series, there are loud echoes that say it will be the top-of-the-line S24 Ultra version. Personally, we would love to see the colour coming to the Galaxy S24 Ultra edition.
Galaxy S24 Ultra has a quad rear camera setup that includes a 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera (F2.2 aperture, FOV-120˚), 200MP Wide Camera (OIS, F1.7 Aperture, and FOV-85˚), 50MP Telephoto Camera (5x Optical Zoom, OIS, F3.4 aperture, and FOV of 22˚) and a 10MP Telephoto Camera (3x Optical Zoom, OIS, F2.4 aperture, and FOV 36˚). Ultra features a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a Super Smooth 120Hz refresh rate (1~120Hz), 2,600nit peak brightness, and a Vision booster.
In India, only the Ultra Variant comes with a Qualcomm processor, whereas the other two models house an Exynos 2400 SoC. The smartphone will be shipped with Android 14 with UI 6.1. The company will provide seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a S Pen stylus. In addition to this, all the variables include Samsung Knox, Knox Vault, and Passkeys. The battery is set at 5,000 mAh here.
The S24+ come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Google announced a new suite of enhanced theft protection tools in May at I/O 2024 to help keep Android devices and their data safe before, during, and after a theft attempt. The list included a theft detection lock, a remote lock, and an offline device lock. Google is currently letting the initial group of users in Brazil test the theft detection lock function by completing a form.
At Google I/O 2024, the tech giant announced that its latest theft protection features will be available to billions of devices running Android 10+ later this year via Google Play services updates, with some now available in Android 15.
People in Brazil can test out the theft detection lock feature by completing a form. Following the test, the feature will be introduced to other nations. Users can also use remote lock and offline device lock capabilities. Google has not announced its schedule for public access, but trial modes are likely to be accessible in July.
The company has created tools that allow consumers to protect their gadgets from theft. The theft detection lock, an AI-powered screen lock, detects suspicious motions and locks the screen if someone steals your phone and attempts to flee by bike, car, or other means, preventing thieves from accessing data. Offline Device Lock, on the other hand, locks the screen when a thief disconnects the device for an extended period of time, ensuring data security even while the device is off the grid. Android can also detect additional indicators of the device being in the wrong hands, such as an excessive number of unsuccessful authentication attempts.
During its announcement, the company said that these functionalities will be available for Android 10+ devices later this year as part of a Google Play services upgrade.
Users can test the theft detection lock function by completing a form, as Google is now allowing a limited number of users to try it out. The company said, “Fill out the form, and we’ll let you know when the beta version for testing the theft protection features is activated on your device. The Beta version for testing theft protection features is available for devices running Android 10 or higher (with some limitations). You may also need to enable other settings for new Beta features to work.”

Apple plans to release its thinnest-ever iPhone 17 by 2025.
The iPhone 17 series will feature 24MP front cameras and A18/A19 chipsets.
Thinner MacBook Pro and Apple Watch models are also in development.
Apple is reportedly working on its thinnest-ever models across its product lineup, aiming to set new industry standards for sleek, lightweight devices. Following the recent launch of the ultra-slim iPad Pro at their “Let Loose” event, the tech giant plans to extend this design philosophy to the iPhone 17, MacBook Pro, and Apple Watch.
Thinner Designs in the Pipeline
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is set to release a “‘skinnier’ iPhone 17 model by 2025.” This move comes after the successful release of the thinner iPad Pro in May, which demonstrated Apple’s ability to reduce device thickness without compromising performance or battery life.
Gurman’s sources indicate that Apple is committed to making significant reductions in thickness across its product lineup. The company’s goal is for these revamped products to set new benchmarks for thinness and portability in their respective categories.
The iPhone 17 is expected to come in multiple variants, including a new “Slim” model. Analysts Jeff Pu and Ross Young have supported Gurman’s claims, with Pu suggesting that Apple might replace the Plus variant with a slimmer version. The iPhone 17 and its Slim variant are likely to feature an aluminum design, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max may continue with a titanium body.
In terms of performance, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim are expected to come with 8GB of RAM and be powered by either the A18 or A19 Bionic chipset. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models could feature 12GB of RAM and run on the A19 Pro chipset. Additionally, the series is anticipated to have 24MP front-facing cameras, a significant upgrade from the current 12MP cameras on the iPhone 15 series.
Expanding the Slim Approach
Apple’s strategy for slimming down its devices doesn’t stop with the iPhone. The company is also working on thinner versions of the MacBook Pro and Apple Watch. Gurman’s report aligns with forecasts from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggests that Apple will use advanced technologies, such as thinner motherboards, in its future high-end devices.
The move towards thinner, lighter devices continues Apple’s tradition of pushing the boundaries of technology and design. The success of the latest iPad Pro has inspired this approach, demonstrating that it is possible to create ultra-slim devices without sacrificing functionality.
While specific launch dates for the new products have not been announced, Apple’s commitment to innovation and design excellence suggests that these upcoming releases will make a significant impact on the tech industry.

A new smartphone from Samsung’s F series, the Galaxy F55 5G, was just released. The majority of Samsung’s phones often have similar design elements. So, what’s new this time? The F55 is the company’s latest product, featuring a vegan leather finish for the first time, which is also the device’s main selling point. We’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G as our primary smartphone for a while now, and can now share our complete review with you. Let’s see if the smartphone is worth picking up.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G Review: Design and Display
People’s attention will be drawn to this handset because of its striking appearance. This appears significantly different in the Samsung arsenal. It is the Apricot Vegan Leather that we are reviewing. A stitch-like pattern runs along the edges, showcasing the excellent craftsmanship. The mobile looks stunning and feels more upscale because of the vivid orange colour option. Although vegan leather is not a new feature in the smartphone market, this is Samsung’s first phone with it. While this leather finish is seen on some other Samsung competitors’ smartphones, this one stands out because of the distinctive saddle stitch pattern. It’s worth noting that the product is also available in Resin Black.
Because the golden colour frame fits so well with the brilliant orange finish, the in-hand feel is also extremely premium. Since the sides are somewhat curved rather than flat, it is comfortable to hold in your hands. To further add to the opulent appearance, the rear panel features three protruding camera modules with golden rings. Additionally, the Samsung logo is visible at the bottom. It looks great, thanks to Samsung’s design.
At the bottom are a speaker grille, a microphone, and a USB Type-C port. A noise-cancelling microphone is located at the top, while a SIM card slot is placed on the left. The device’s power on/off button and volume controls can be found on the right side. You can use two nano SIM cards or one nano SIM and one micro SD card because the phone has a hybrid SIM card slot.
The front panel features average-sized bezels with a top-centre punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Owing to its 86% screen-to-body ratio, the phone’s design provides a distinctive and high-end experience. The 6.7-inch full-HD+ sAMOLED Plus screen on the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G boasts a resolution of 2,400 x 1080 pixels. With Vision Booster, the display has a maximum brightness level of 1,000 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Samsung display is of excellent quality and has a very pleasant appearance. The adaptive brightness feature of the vision booster adjusts the screen’s brightness based on the surrounding conditions, ensuring optimal visual quality under all lighting scenarios.
As of right now, the screen appears to be well-balanced, bright and has good contrast. Outside visibility is only average. It would be challenging to see this screen in direct sunlight if it weren’t kept at its highest brightness. On the flip side, the touch response is good, and the 120Hz refresh rate is smooth and hasn’t given us any jitters throughout testing.
We had no trouble streaming Netflix and Prime video content on our phone. Full HD playback is supported on both of them. The device is Widevine L1 certified as well. Thus, Samsung phones offer the best multimedia experience. You will like this phone’s viewing experience whether you’re playing games, watching videos, or just tinkering with the screen.
This phone’s dual speakers could have been of higher quality. They can go loud, of course, but when we turned the volume up to the maximum, we noticed some distortion.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G Review: Performance and Camera
So let’s talk about the performance now. Samsung chose Qualcomm’s 4 nm-based Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, which is combined with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. However, it is an old chipset with a high reputation in the industry for its performance and efficiency in mid-range devices. The processor can handle day-to-day tasks efficiently, especially when paired with Samsung’s user interface.
The phone functions effectively when multitasking and manages lighter applications with ease. The phone has been optimised to store apps in memory for extended periods.
However, considering the price, gaming is just passable. Excessive multitasking had a negative impact. Additionally, the phone heats easily because of its slim form factor, particularly in the area around the camera module. You can play the most popular titles like COD, BGMI, and Asphalt; nevertheless, you’ll want to lower the settings for consistent gameplay without heating issues. Furthermore, we do not advise you to get this phone if you are a heavy gamer. Casual gaming? Then yes.
Samsung Galaxy F55 runs on One UI 6.0, which is built on Android 14. Four years of software updates and five years of security patches are guaranteed to be included with the phone.
Although the UI is identical to other Samsung phones, there are some pre-installed apps on it. Fortunately, most of them can be removed right away to make room for more apps.
In addition, you will have access to Knox security and NFC functionality. You will, therefore, have access to labs, a secure folder, and further customisation options. You also get to see the voice focus option during the call. You can edit images with an object eraser or the image clipper to remove the background from photos and then move it somewhere.
Other than that, the Discover Page on the app screen and the Glance UI on the lock screen are a pain, but thankfully, you can turn them off.
Leading the triple-rear camera array on the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a f1.8 aperture and capability for optical image stabilisation (OIS). A 2-megapixel macro lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens are also included with the camera setup. A 50-megapixel selfie camera with a f2.4 aperture is located up front.
A decent amount of details are provided when looking into the daytime capture. There’s a very broad dynamic range available in this smartphone. Although there were moments when the colours felt a little muted and the consistency of the colours wasn’t that fantastic, in all, we would say the colours are generally nice. All in all, we would say it’s a rather satisfying experience, with some photographs appearing rich and colourful and others a little washed out.
Looking at the 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, the quality of the images is unimpressive. Let’s move on to the close-up photos, where you can see good sharpness levels and a good quantity of detail with wide colour combinations. We think there is a little oversharpening at times, but overall, it’s decent.
The device also has a 2-megapixel macro sensor, which is average at best and has nothing particularly noteworthy about its quality.
Although skin tones are quite good in the portraits, the overall quality is not very impressive. The colours are fine, but the Bokeh effect is too sharp and lacks impact. At this pricing point, the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G’s photography performance should have been improved. Probably in the next software update, Samsung will take care of it.
Here, in indoor lighting with quite excellent artificial light, the low-light experience is good. The colours are also wonderful, and there are plenty of details available. However, using night mode is usually a good idea when the light drops even further, and the experience appears to be average in this case. There is a lot of noise visible, and the clarity is not very good.
Moving on, the quality of the selfie camera was a little underwhelming despite having a 50-megapixel lens. The detail and skin tone don’t seem right. We also saw that some of our selfies had a greenish hue. Even the portrait selfies’ edge detection was on the average side. We have definitely seen better from Samsung
The latest smartphones from Samsung have fast charging capabilities, and this is the first model in the F series to offer 45W of fast charging ability. It takes roughly 75 minutes to fully charge, although it can charge from zero to 50% in less than 30 minutes.
We assumed the box would contain the charger before we even opened it, however, the business didn’t include any other compatible charging brick. Nonetheless, the Galaxy F55’s battery life has been excellent. When used extensively, you may easily get a full day’s endurance. On less demanding days, you can even achieve 1.5 days on a single charge, which is more than sufficient.
Verdict
In 2024, the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is the thinnest vegan leather smartphone available in the market. The black version of this phone would endure better under normal use circumstances than the orange version, which could become discoloured and soiled with time.
Because of its curved edges and flat panel design, this phone will be quite comfortable to handle if you use it frequently during the day. Samsung’s UI has also been tuned for 120Hz, and we did not notice any significant micro stuttering. During prolonged gaming sessions, the phone rapidly heated up near the camera bump. Upon shutting the game, though, it instantly cools off.
The phone is using One UI 6.1, which is based on Android 14. Four years of operating system upgrades and five years of security updates will be provided by the firm. This is a really good smartphone for long-term use if you plan to use it for many years.
The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is ideal if you’re a big movie watcher. You might also give this smartphone some thought if you want a top-notch AMOLED screen for multitasking with games, web browsing, and social media scrolling.

The Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus is set to launch a new Nord-series smartphone in India soon called OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite in India. The company has officially announced the launch date and timing for its upcoming phone. The device will succeed the Nord CE 3 Lite, which made its debut last year.
OnePlus took to Twitter/X.com to confirm the launch date of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G. According to the X post, the launch is scheduled to take place next week on June 18. Like always the event will be hosted in the evening at 7 PM IST. The company hinted at the phone without disclosing its name however the name of the upcoming phone was disclosed by an Amazon listing. The dedicated microsite also includes information on the RAM and storage of the device.
As per the listing, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite will be made available with 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of storage. The phone is said to arrive in a Mega Blue colour option. However, it is anticipated that OnePlus will offer it additional RAM and storage options, along with more colour options to choose from.
Tipster Sanju Choudhary previously stated that the CE 4 Lite 5G may cost less than Rs 20,000 in India. The suggested pricing is comparable to the Rs 19,999 launch price of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G. further revealed the OnePlus Nord 4 5G is likely to be priced at Rs 31,999. It may launch in July next month.
Prior to the device’s official release, the tipster also disclosed the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G’s specifications. A 6.67-inch 120Hz full-HD+ AMOLED screen is probably what it will have. The handset is said to come equipped with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. The phone is expected to come pre-installed with Android 14. Along with three years of security patches, it might receive two years of OS updates.
The dual back camera unit on the CE 4 Lite 5G is supposed to be included. The camera setup is expected to sport a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a -megapixel depth sensor. Probably a 16-megapixel sensor will be found in the front camera.
It is likely to house a 5,500mAh battery. It is anticipated to include an in-display fingerprint sensor.
We advise you to treat the information with caution as the company and the e-commerce platform withheld any further details about the impending Nord Series phone. The only information we have to go on is based on rumours and leaks.

WhatsApp has updated its video calling service for desktop and mobile users in a number of ways. Video calls can now include up to 32 people instead of just eight. Users will be able to quickly identify the current speaker in a video call with the introduction of a new feature called “speaker spotlight.” Moreover, Meta has also launched MLow codec (Meta Low Bitrate audio codec) for WhatsApp.
WhatsApp has disclosed enhancements to its mobile and desktop applications for screen sharing and video calls. Now, users can let others listen in on their audio while watching videos. Besides this, Video calls can have up to 32 participants, increasing accessibility across all platforms.
In addition to this, WhatsApp also debuts a new feature called “speaker spotlight,” which highlights the person speaking on a call at that moment. With the ability to quickly identify the speaker in a large group conversation without having to look through the participant list, this could be helpful. As per the company, users can “easily see who’s talking with the speaker automatically highlighted and appearing first on screen.”
In the coming weeks, WhatsApp users on desktop and mobile platforms will be able to access the new capabilities.
In addition, Meta just released the MLow codec (Meta Low Bitrate audio codec), which increases call dependability. Improved echo cancellation and noise cancellation on mobile devices facilitate calls in noisy settings, and quicker connections offer higher resolution for video calls. Overall, audio quality is better, regardless of whether you’re using an outdated gadget or have bad network connectivity. MLow can achieve two times better quality than Opus (POLQA MOS 1.89 vs 3.9 @ 6kbps WB).
“We have already fully launched MLow to all Instagram and Messenger calls and are actively rolling it out on WhatsApp—and we’ve already seen incredible improvement in user engagement driven by better audio quality,” Meta said in a blog post.

While direct notifications are a rarity, most social media platforms have a way of letting users know that they have been blocked by someone. Instagram has the infamous ‘User cannot be found’ error message, while Snapchat displays a cross instead of a camera icon next to the user’s profile. Interestingly, it is much harder to find out if someone has blocked your phone number. But it is not impossible. Here are some ways you can check your blocked status.
If you suspect someone blocked your phone number by accident (ex: an old grandparent who can’t get the hang of smartphones), you can bypass the action and contact them. Here are some methods.
Use *67 while calling the number.
Hide your Caller ID in phone settings before calling the number.
Call the user on WhatsApp/Facebook/Instagram or any other social media platform.
Use a temporary/burner number to call the user.
Send them a text
If someone has blocked your phone number, they won’t receive your text messages. This means you won’t get read receipts for your texts. While this does not confirm that the user has blocked your number, it is a good place to start. It is possible that the user has disabled read receipts on their smartphone. Additionally, if you’re an iPhone user, you won’t receive read receipts from Android users. Keep these things in mind while trying to confirm the block status.
Inconsistent messages from the service provider
As you can tell, when your phone number is blocked by another user, you cannot hear any rings when you call them. Instead, you will either be redirected to voicemail or encounter a message from the network provider, letting you know the reason why your call isn’t going through. Network providers do not have a pre-recorded message for blocked numbers. Instead, they reuse the messages that are recorded for other scenarios (like service unavailable, busy line, user out of network coverage, etc). If you encounter a different error message every time you call the user, it is probable that they have blocked you.
Are your calls going directly to voicemail?
If you notice that your phone calls are going directly to voicemail, it could mean that the user has blocked you. Typically, the network provider redirects you to voicemail only when the user does not pick up the call. If you’re blocked, your calls are immediately cancelled, which means you are directed to voicemail right away. Of course, this can also happen if the user is out of the network coverage area. This is why you should certainly try the next method to confirm if you’ve been blocked.
Call the user from another number
If you’re consistently encountering voicemail while trying to call the user from your number, simply use someone else’s number instead. If the call goes through, it is a very strong sign that your phone number has been blocked by the user.
How to find out if the user has DND on?
While calling the user from another number is generally a sure-shot way to find out if they’ve blocked your number, there is one small caveat that you need to take into consideration. If the user has turned on Do Not Disturb, your call won’t get through. However, DND mode passes the call to the user if you ring them multiple times. You can deploy this trick to check if you’ve been blocked.
Check if you’ve been blocked on WhatsApp
If someone has blocked your phone number, it is likely they have blocked you on WhatsApp as well. If you cannot view the user’s profile picture on WhatsApp and your messages get stuck on ‘sent’, it is a strong sign that you have been blocked. Calling the user on WhatsApp will display the ‘Calling’ message on the screen, but it won’t change to ‘Ringing’.
Check if you’ve been blocked on socials
As a final confirmation, check if the user has blocked your profile on other social media platforms. If you’ve been blocked on Instagram, the user’s profile name will change to ‘Instagram User’. On Snapchat, a cross icon will display instead of a camera icon next to the user’s profile.

You can send a text to someone who has blocked your phone number, but it won’t be delivered to them. Your text will get stuck on a single tick.
How do I block someone’s number on my phone?
Launch the Dialer app, hit the ellipses, go to Settings>Blocked numbers>Add a Phone Number, and enter the user’s phone number in the blank field.
These are the top 7 ways to find out if someone has blocked your phone number. If you’ve been blocked by someone, do not try to bypass the action by contacting them with other phone numbers. Badgering someone repeatedly counts as harassment.
Sony is making it possible for PS5 owners to join in Discord voice chat right from the console; this feature was previously exclusive to PC or mobile users. The move comes after Sony announced in 2021 that it was going to incorporate Discord into PlayStation gaming consoles. Users will be able to start chats straight from their PS5 console thanks to a feature that will be made available to them progressively over the next several weeks.
The most recent news from Sony states that the PS5 system will soon support joining Discord voice chats directly. Last year, the parent company of PlayStation released an update that included Discord integration for the PS5.
With this update, joining Discord conversations with other players will be easier. Over the next few weeks, it will be rolled out gradually, with gamers in Japan and Asia being the first, then Europe, Australia/New Zealand, the Middle East, and eventually the Americas. It should be noted that you must link your PlayStation Network and Discord accounts and that you must update your console to the most recent version of the system software.
To join Discord voice chat on PS5, open Game Base in the PS5 Control Centre, click the Discord tab, then select the Discord server or DM group you want to join. Next, choose your preferred voice channel. This will provide additional details, such as who is currently chatting on the channel. According to the company, when someone else calls you on Discord, you’ll also get a notification on your PS5 console, letting you jump in right away.
Additionally, Sony is enabling you to share your PlayStation Network profile on any messaging or social media app starting next week. To get started, choose “Share Profile” from the PS5 console or the PlayStation App to create a shareable link or QR code. Once the recipient opens the link and logs into PlayStation Network, they will have the opportunity to add you as a friend.
