Realme 16T 5G price in India dropped; new pricing starts at Rs 25,999

Within only two months, Realme has decided to cut down the price of the Realme 16T in India. Yes, the company has officially announced a price reduction for this device, making it more affordable than before. Most of the smartphone makers have drastically raised the price of their devices owing to a shortage of memory, and the news comes as tremendous relief.

Realme today announced a special price cut for the Realme 16T 5G together with attractive bank offers and no-cost EMI options. It was launched in May with a starting price of Rs 29,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. The 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants were introduced at Rs 31,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively. The company is currently providing a flat discount of Rs 2,000 on all three models. There is a 2,000 credit card offer and also up to 10 months of no-cost EMI available. The offer is for a limited duration only and is valid until July 12.

This offer is accessible across mainline stores, Flipkart and the company’s official website in the country.

Specifications, Features

The Realme 16T comes with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It is certified to military standards for stress resistance and is well-suited to severe conditions. The display is protected with Panda Glass, and an additional screen protector is pre-applied.

The device has a 6.8-inch LCD display with a massive 144Hz refresh rate. It supports 16.7 million colours and can achieve 1,200 nits of brightness. The screen has a 90.4% screen-to-body ratio. It allows users to change the colour temperature and set individual refresh rates for each app. The smartphone comes with features like eye protection mode, sleep mode, and dark mode to meet different viewing needs. The gadget is equipped with modern display technologies such as Sun Display, full-brightness DC dimming, and automatic and manual brightness control. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2, so you have enough room for applications, movies, and data. It runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.

Additional features include split-screen multitasking, floating windows, Screen recording, OPPO Share and iOS file sharing support.

Realme 16T 5G’s camera setup packs a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 sensor as the main rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus support, so you can capture high-quality images. The camera also has a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for an improved photographic experience.

Thermals are managed by a vapour chamber and a graphite cooling system that provides a large heat dissipation area of 13,280 mm².

The camera system includes Realme’s LumaColor IMAGE Engine, which uses AI technology to enhance skin tones, textures, and dynamic ranges, resulting in colourful and realistic photos. It allows users to see themselves via the back camera thanks to a special function that allows for rear selfies. The gadget also has a 16-megapixel camera on the front in a hole-punch display, which is perfect for clicking crystal-clear and detailed selfies.

The handset boasts an 8,000mAh battery, which is expected to come with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. It also supports 6.5W wired reverse charging and bypass charging.
