Realme P3 Ultra Review: Design and Display
Let’s begin with the contents of the package. The Realme P3 Ultra comes in yellow packaging with the moniker “P3 Ultra” bolded on the top, along with a list of its main features. We have the Orion Red colour option, with 256 GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM. The retail box comes with a soft, clear silicone casing, some papers that nobody reads, and another package that contains the SIM ejector pin. The silicone case is of respectable quality. An 80 W charging adapter and a USB-A to USB-C charging cord are also included.
Okay, let’s examine the phone in more detail. We received a vegan leather finish in the shade Orion Red. Okay, let’s take a closer look at the telephone. The vegan leather finish is available in the hue Orion Red. When we first opened the package, we felt it was both stylish and well-made. Because of its matte appearance and extreme softness to the touch, it resists smudges and fingerprints. Thanks to its flat edges, it provides an excellent hand grip. It feels great in the hand and is quite thin at 7.4 mm and 186 g.

In addition, the P3 Ultra is available in a highly popular luminous lunar white shade that glows in the dark when exposed to sunlight or UV rays. The feature was also seen in the Realme P3 Pro. Again, we would say it’s interesting, but once you’ve shown your friends and family, the initial attraction won’t last long. We doubt you would give it another glance. Continuing with the rear build and design, we have a dual-camera configuration: 8 MP ultra-wide and 50 MP Sony IMX 896 with OIS. The top ports include a speaker and an infrared blaster; on the side, there is the power button and the volume rockers. At the bottom, there is a secondary down-firing speaker grille, a microphone, a USB-C port and a SIM tray that can house dual 5G nano SIM cards.
Unfortunately, SD card expansion is not supported, hence, we usually advise choosing a higher storage model if feasible. Additionally, the P3 Ultra has IP68 and IP69 classifications, so you can submerge it in a swimming pool or operate it under flowing water, and it will work well. Even with all these ratings, we still advise keeping it secure because the warranty won’t cover it.
Getting to the screen. The enormous 6.83-inch 1.5K quad-curved screen has a resolution of 1,272 x 2,800 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a maximum brightness of 1,500 nits, a touch sampling rate of 2,500 Hz for gaming, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The first thing that strikes us is how seamless the 120 Hz refresh rate is; everything works flawlessly. Even the smallest letters can be seen well on the display, which has remarkable colour reproduction that is vivid and brilliant. After that, viewing videos and movies is a complete pleasure. The content is stunning and extends from edge to edge.
With the availability of Netflix HDR support, everything is clear and brilliant. The YouTube app was then tried as well. Additionally, HDR capability is included here; it couldn’t be better. No lag or stuttering occurs when watching 4K 60 FPS video; continue to enjoy the content to the fullest.
Unlocking the device is accomplished quickly with the in-display fingerprint scanner.
We firmly think that without a strong audio part, a video cannot be considered good enough. As anticipated, the P3 Ultra’s two studio speakers are powerful, clear, and have excellent sound quality. Dual stereo speakers provide an immersive movie-watching experience, which is particularly wonderful when action sequences are being shown.
Realme P3 Ultra Review: Performance and Cameras
In terms of performance, the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC and Mali-G615 GPU power the P3 Ultra. And this one is a real beast! It is quick and easily handles all of your everyday tasks and apps. We never had any latency or app problems while using it. Our model has 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and supports an additional 10GB of virtual RAM extension, for a total of 22GB of RAM on board. The most recently used applications continue to exist in memory, which is always useful, and apps load almost instantly. Multitasking between them is also incredibly quick. We tried the most popular game, BGMI, and yes, we were able to get 90 frames per second, which was a very steady score. The fluidity and visuals were great. Yes, there were occasional drop frames, and it did heat up a bit, but these issues didn’t interfere with our gaming experience in the least. So now let’s talk about the user experience. Realme’s software has been incredibly well-optimised. It’s running Android 15 right out of the box, which is fantastic, as you can see when you scroll down to the version in the settings.
It is running Realme UI 6.0, and Realme certifies that it has been given two years’ worth of software upgrades and security fixes. It is smooth with no lag or problems. However, it does feature some bloatware and popular applications and games. Hot games and applications, however, may be turned off in the settings. Even so, there are a few applications that you don’t need, but the good news is that you can remove them, which is just fantastic. Therefore, except for that, we have no complaints regarding the application as it is enjoyable to use and well optimised.
Let’s look at the camera specifications before we discuss them. The 50-megapixel Sony IMX896 primary rear sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens are highlights of the Realme P3 Ultra 5G. It has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera on the front for taking selfies.

In both indoor and outdoor photography, the camera’s performance was outstanding. When the photos were taken in direct sunlight, they produced striking results. These photos, which were captured using the 50 MP Sony sensor on the rear, are very sharp and have amazing colour reproduction. You can see the intricacies in the shadows, and the dynamic range is also rather nice. These photos, which were taken with the 8 MP ultra-wide, are likewise excellent; they are clean, bright, and detailed. Here are a few photos that were taken in low light. Although it’s not P3 Ultra’s best feature, it nevertheless performs admirably.
During the day, the 16-megapixel front camera performs admirably. Excellent skin tones, crisp, detailed photos, and realistic background bokeh in portraiture.
Verdict
To sum up, the Realm P3 Ultra has everything you could want in a phone for less than Rs 30,000. In actuality, it is a powerhouse. You get a massive 1.5k AMOLED display, a superb thin and light design factor, and outstanding performance without breaking the bank. The cameras are also quite good in bright daylight, however, they perform mediocrely in low light. For the cost that Realme is charging, this is a whole beast.
