In order to roll out new features, WhatsApp has a history of discontinuing support for specific Android and iOS versions. In this instance, a report claims that WhatsApp will stop supporting 35 devices in the months to come.
Some Android and iOS devices will no longer be compatible with WhatsApp. According to a report, WhatsApp will no longer support old smartphone systems, meaning that many Android and iOS phones will not be able to use the app. 35 devices from manufacturers including Apple, Huawei, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, and Samsung are reportedly going to lose compatibility with WhatsApp.

WhatsApp users will likely not be able to receive new updates or security fixes until they migrate to a newer operating system or device if support for older iOS and Android versions is discontinued.
You will need to export the chats and images you wish to keep to your new device if you have one of these Android or iOS devices and want to avoid losing any data after updating.
Note that on certain devices, users won’t be able to verify their current accounts or establish new ones. Make sure you have a device running iOS 12 or Android 5 Lollipop at least to use WhatsApp. Although the report only includes well-known handsets, WhatsApp on less expensive Android phones running Android 4 or earlier versions is probably not going to function.
