Single tick, Double tick, Blue ticks, and Clock symbols

A single tick symbol means that your message has been sent but not delivered to the recipient. This happens when the recipient’s phone is switched off or when they aren’t connected to the internet. Messages may also fail to deliver when the recipient has deleted the WhatsApp app from their phone. The double tick symbol means that the message was delivered to the recipient. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the recipient read your message.
When the double tick turns to blue ticks, it means that the recipient has seen your message. However, if the recipient has turned off the read receipts, you won’t see the blue ticks even when they have read the message. When a message fails to send from your end, you will see a small clock symbol next to the message. This may happen because you are not connected to the internet.
