How to Block or Unblock Someone on Facebook?

If you’re on Facebook and are irritated by someone in your friend list or comments on your posts, the block option provided by Meta is a life-saver exactly for such situations. When you block a person, they are not able to see your posts on your profile, tag you in any post, comment or photo, invite you to events or groups, start a conversation with you or even add you as a friend in case you aren’t already. One thing to consider here is that once you block someone, Facebook also unfriends you with them. So, in case you don’t want to unfriend someone but just want to see less of their posts, Facebook instead now lets you take a break from them. But if you still want to totally block a person, below are mentioned the steps with pictorial representation on how to block or unblock someone on Facebook. These steps are valid both for the app version and for the browser version of Facebook.

Step 1: Open the Facebook application and open the profile of the person you want to block via typing their name in the search box. Click on the Profile Settings icon (3 dots) in their profile, as highlighted below.

Step 3: Select Block, and that’s it! The person will get blocked from seeing your posts, tagging you, etc. on your profile.

Steps to Unblock Someone on Facebook

Step 1: Open the Facebook app and click on the hamburger menu on the top right corner of the interface, as highlighted below. Then click on the Settings icon.

Step 3: Click Unblock against the profile that you want to unblock.
