Motorola’s next smartphone in the Moto G category seems to be on the way. Recently Moto G9 Plus price was tipped by a Spanish online retailer. Now Moto G9 Play has been spotted in a Geekbench listing suggesting a Qualcomm processor with 4GB of RAM. To recall G9 Play is the successor of Moto G8 Play.
Until now no official information has been released by the company about its next iteration of Moto G8 series. But 2 of the devices except the vanilla variant have been spotted on the internet. The latest is the Moto G9 Play who has been listed on the benchmarking website Geekbench revealing its key specifications. According to the listing, the device will be powered by an unnamed Qualcomm processor as it has been found with a codename guamp. There is going to be a base frequency of 1.8GHz and integrate eight cores on the processor paired with 4GB of RAM. One thing here is notice is that this time the memory on the phone is larger than its predecessor that comes with a 2GB of RAM option. So, if the listing is to be believed then you are getting a double memory than Moto G8 Play. The device single-core score is 313 and the multi-core score is 1370 according to the Geekbench listing and it will run on Android 10.
However, the rumour mills suggest that the device is expected to come with a Snapdragon 600 series processor. To recall Moto G8 Play was launched with a MediaTek Helio P70M SoC so this time the company might switch to a Qualcomm chipset.
As we mentioned earlier also the Moto G9 Plus was also spotted on a Spanish online retail site ParatuPC revealing the price of the device. It suggests that the handset price has been set at EUR 277.15 that translates to Rs 23,700 for the 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage option. It has been listed with a model number XT2087. But the listing says the device is out of stock now. Until now the key details of the Motorola device have not been revealed. However, it is important to note that the same model number was spotted in an EEC listing there also not specifications of the smartphone were missing.
Until now the Lenovo owned Motorola has been super active these days as every other month the company is coming up with new smartphones in the market. So, the Moto G9 series launch might not be too far and we should wait until official information on the new series is announced.
