Congratulations and we welcome you to the Apple world. So finally you have switched to an Apple iPhone and if you are a first-time user then you need to learn some basic tricks. Our guide will help you set up your iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro if you were wondering where to begin. Here are some tips and tricks that you must try right away after unboxing it.

Here is how to set up your iPhone 13

Create an Apple ID

So first things first, as soon as you unbox and switch on your new iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro you will be asked to create your Apple ID. Yes, this is a step we also follow when setting up a new Android device. So enter your credentials if you already have one or create a new one as it is absolutely free.

By following this step you can make purchases from the App Store and use other amazing features like iMessage, Facetime, FindMyPhone and so on. However, this is not really necessary but to make full use of your iPhone features you must do that. One can also set up the iPhone automatically.

Enabling FindMyPhone

Before we move ahead we need to make our phone safe as you have saved your hard-earned money and waited patiently to buy the iPhone 13. So another essential step to follow next is enabling FindMyPhone. It is a built-in feature that can help in tracking your device or remotely wiping the stored data if it gets lost or stolen.

Set up FaceID

Earlier devices came with a built-in Home button for a fingerprint scanner that Apple called TouchID. But the new device comes with FaceID, which is a facial recognition system to unlock the phone. Not just that, this feature allows you to make iTunes or App Store purchases, so make sure you have enabled it on your Apple iPhone 13.

Set up Focus

The iOS 15 brings the revamped Do Not Disturb feature now called ‘Focus’. This functionality filters out notifications and apps based on what a user wants to focus on. According to Apple, users can set their device to help them be in the moment by creating a custom Focus or selecting a suggested Focus, which uses on-device intelligence to suggest which people and apps are allowed to notify you during this time.

Install iTunes

iTunes is another important tool that lets you add and remove music, videos, apps and more. Without this you won’t be able to transfer your data from your PC to iPhone or vice versa, so make sure it is in place.

To access the Control Center, swipe down from the top right corner of the phone with FaceID. You can also open it from Settings>Control Center.
