Tecno Spark 6 Go latest budget smartphone launched in India, priced at Rs 8,499

The new smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery

Tecno Spark 6 Go has gone official in India. This is the Transsion holding’s latest budget smartphone to arrive in India. Tecno Spark 6 Go has been introduced under the Rs 10,000 price bracket and is the company’s first most affordable offering. The key highlights of the phone include a 5,000mAh battery, waterdrop-style display and is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 SoC. Also, there is a dual rear camera setup with AI camera features.

Speaking on the launch Mr. Arijeet Talapatra, CEO, TRANSSION India said,“TECNO saw unprecedented growth in 2020 riding on the success of SPARK series in the 6 – 10k segment that has received an outstanding response from Indian consumers. The SPARK 6 Go is yet another compelling product from the SPARK stable that seeks to extend TECNO’s lead in the sub10k market with its strong play in the storage department at an unmatched price point. This new smartphone will further the company’s intent of addressing consumer needs for faster processing and multitasking experience in the budget segment.”

Tecno Spark 6 Go price and availability

Tecno Spark 6 Go will be made available in a single 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. For a limited stock festive offer, the company will be offering this budget smartphone at Rs 8,499 after which it will be available at its original MRP of Rs 8,699. Spark 6 Go will be available for purchase starting December 25 at 12 noon onwards via the e-commerce website Flipkart. And will be available via offline retail outlets starting January 7 across the country. This device will be offered in three colour variants of Ice Jadeite, Mystery White and Aqua Blue.

Tecno Spark 6 Go has been launched with a 6.52-inch HD+ TFT display with a HiOS 6.2 on top of Android 10 OS. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The internal memory can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

In terms of camera capabilities, the phone features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and an Al Lens camera sensor with 4x zoom support, dual flashlight. The camera app also includes camera modes such as AI Auto Scene Detection Mode, Background Bokeh Mode, AI sticker and AI Beauty Mode. On the front, the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel camera sensor for taking selfies and video calling.

Apart from this for the Spark 6 Go houses a 5,000mAh battery which is claimed to offer a standby time of up to 40 days, Calling time of 54 hours, web browsing of 15 hours, video playback of 22 hours, game playing of 16 hours and music playback for 146 hours.

For connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Other than this the sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, a proximity sensor in addition to a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor along with Face Unlock.
