The 6.9-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel has a 144Hz refresh rate. It is able to maintain decent legibility under direct sunlight. The display is surrounded by thick bezels that get chunkier around the chin. The front-facing camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout. You can set the refresh rate of the panel to 144Hz from the settings and force certain apps to adhere to it. The smartphone does not have an under-display optical sensor. Instead, it uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
During the review period, we used the Ai+ Nova 2 Pro to stream movies and TV shows across OTT platforms like JioHotstar, Netflix, and Prime Video. The 1080p display produced good visuals packed with vibrant colours and essential details. The contrast wasn’t as punchy as we’re used to seeing on AMOLED displays, but LCD panels are pretty much the norm in this segment. The dual speaker setup produces a good audio output with just a tinge of boxiness.

In the Geekbench 6 test, Nova 2 Pro garnered a single-core score of 978 points and a multi-core score of 2,836 points. does a good job of handling routine tasks like calling, texting, media streaming, web browsing, and navigation. We used the 8GB RAM variant for this review, and it was able to juggle half a dozen apps with ease. Jitters and lag were the exception rather than the norm. Overall, we found the device to be quite reliable for everyday use.
The Dimensity 7100 SoC can run titles like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile, but the gameplay is littered with stutters and frame drops even at low graphics and frame rate settings. Simpler games like Candy Crush Saga and Subway Surfers are managed better. The back panel starts warming up after 15 minutes of continuous gameplay.
The Nova 2 Pro runs Android 16 skinned with Ai+’s nxtQ OS out of the box. The smartphone doesn’t ship with any bloatware apps, which is unheard of in this price segment. The software feels clean and intuitive. The NxtPrivacy Dashboard keeps track of apps using location services and other vital information. There are plenty of customisation options for the AI button. Its functionality isn’t extended within the Camera app, which is a bit of a letdown because it would have worked well as a shutter button. The smartphone supports Gemini Assistant but does not get Circle to Search.
One of our favourite things about this smartphone is its 6,000mAh battery pack. This battery pack can hold enough juice to last an entire day of heavy use with ~20-30% charge left to spare. If you’re conservative with your usage, you can push the battery life to 2 days. The smartphone supports 33W wired charging. It took us close to 3 hours to fully charge the device using the 18W power adapter provided in the box.
The rear camera array of the Nova 2 Pro comprises a 48MP primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor captures good images in outdoor daylight conditions. While these images aren’t the sharpest we’ve seen in this segment, they flaunt rich colours. The final results are certainly ‘social media friendly’. In limited lighting conditions, this camera relies on Night Mode to resolve the scene, but the pictures appear dim and grainy. This is not a dealbreaker, as this issue pervades every device in this price bracket.
Images taken from the 8MP ultrawide lens are visibly softer than their main camera counterparts. We expected this from the get-go as ultrawide lenses aren’t common in this segment. You’re getting an entry-level sensor, but that isn’t too bad, as you can get some decent shots out of it in optimum lighting. The less said about the night-time shots, the better.

Portraits taken by the Nova 2 Pro are vivid and well-focused. The smartphone struggles to detect the edges of the subject, so the final results do have some blurriness in random areas, but the pictures look good overall. The tinge of background blur makes these portraits pop. The front-facing 13MP camera captures sharp and clear selfies. All three cameras on this phone can record 2K videos at 30fps.
Despite the controversies surrounding the brand, Ai+ continues to put out value-for-money products which look particularly attractive at a time when smartphone prices are soaring through the roof. The Nova 2 Pro is a rock-solid phone for everyday use. It can get you through your daily tasks without breaking a sweat, play HD content on its massive display, channel good audio output through its dual speaker setup, and offer enough juice to last you an entire day. The cameras are teetering in the okay-ish territory, but you can get good shots in optimum lighting conditions, which is all we ask of a budget phone in this bracket.

Electric toothbrushes have consistently been the most boring category. Not because oral hygiene doesn’t matter, it does, but because the innovation curve flattened sometime around 2010 and never recovered. Every year, the same two companies ship the same two brushes with slightly different packaging, a new app feature nobody asked for, and a $30 price hike justified by an extra brushing mode that is functionally identical to the other five.
The RANVOO AirJet X5, from a company most people haven’t heard of, is the first toothbrush I’ve tested that made me sit up and pay attention. Not because it has a better app. Not because it vibrates faster than the competition. But because it questions whether the fundamental mechanism of electric toothbrushes, bristles scrubbing teeth really, really fast, was the right approach to begin with.
The answer, after six weeks of testing, is: mostly no. And the AirJet 2.0 bubble-cavitation system that replaces it is the most interesting thing to happen to this category since sonic technology went mainstream.

At 153 g with the brush head attached and measuring 258 × 34.4 × 30.4 mm, the AirJet X5 sits comfortably in the hand. It’s slightly heavier than an entry-level sonic brush but noticeably lighter than the Oral-B iO series. The ABS body carries a silicon carbide anti-mould coating, more on this later, with a matte finish that resists fingerprints and doesn’t get slippery with wet hands.
The 0.79-inch TFT display (128 × 128 pixels) is small but sharp. It shows the current mode, battery level as a percentage bar, and a quadrant timer that divides your two-minute session into four 30-second segments. The display is colour; modes get their own accent hue, which makes it trivially easy to confirm which mode you’re in at a glance. This is genuinely useful in a way that most toothbrush screens aren’t.
The stainless steel connecting shaft is a detail worth noting because it’s a common failure point on cheaper brushes. Stainless steel resists the crevice corrosion that eventually causes wobble and water ingress. After six weeks in a bathroom that gets properly steamy during showers, there’s zero play in the head attachment and no discolouration on the shaft.
The Wall Mount (Seriously, This Changes Everything)
The magnetic wall mount adheres to tile, glass, or mirror with an adhesive backing. HMD’s new offering, Vibe 2, packs a Unisoc T8200 chipset under its hood and offers 5G connectivity at a very affordable price point. It is also the first smartphone in India to come with homegrown AI outfit Sarvam AI’s Indus assistant. The device is equipped with a massive 6,000mAh battery, which is one of the biggest units we’ve seen in this segment. We used the smartphone for a week to find out if it is worth spending Rs 12,999. Here is our in-depth review of the HMD Vibe 2.
The Vibe 2 has a simple but charming design. The plastic back panel has a smooth matte-like finish, which keeps smudges and fingerprints at bay. The upper section of this panel has a rectangular, clear plastic trim that houses the camera module and LED flash. The elevated surface does not cause any wobble. The flat form factor doesn’t feel too grippy, but it lends the phone a nice in-hand feel.
The plastic frame houses the volume rocker and the side button on its right edge. This button doubles as the fingerprint sensor. The 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker grille are positioned at the bottom. The hybrid SIM tray with microSD support finds its way to the right. The smartphone weighs 210g, largely due to its 6,000mAh battery pack.
The 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel has a 120Hz refresh rate. It is surrounded by chunky bezels that get thicker along the chin. The front-facing camera is housed in a dated waterdrop notch. The display can reach optimum brightness for outdoor use, but struggles with legibility under direct, harsh sunlight. The touch response is fine for the most part. We would have preferred an under-display fingerprint sensor, but the side-mounted unit is fast and snappy.
During the review period, we used the HMD Vibe 2 to stream movies and TV shows across platforms like Netflix, JioHotstar, and Prime Video. Its 720 x 1,600p display produced a decent viewing experience with good quality visuals and tasteful colours. Since this is an LCD panel, it did not have the punchy contrast and deep blacks of AMOLED displays. The audio output produced by the solo, bottom-firing speaker was surprisingly good. It was loud enough to overcome ambient noises and did not sound too boxy.

For an entry-level phone, the HMD Vibe 2 packs some serious heat. It is able to handle routine tasks like texting, calling, web browsing, media streaming, and navigation without any lag. We used the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant for this review and were surprised by how smooth and seamless it felt. Of course, with 4GB RAM on board, you are bound to run into a brick wall while multitasking, but as long as you restrict yourself to juggling among 4-5 apps, you won’t notice any performance issues.
Entry-level devices aren’t usually known for their gaming performance, and the Vibe 2 is no different. Playing FPS games on this device leads to frequent stutters and frame drops. However, it can run basic games like Subway Surfers and Candy Crush Saga with ease.
The HMD Vibe 2 runs Android 16 out of the box. HMD’s custom skin borrows design elements from ColorOS/OxygenOS. The home page and app drawer feel more like stock Android. The smartphone comes with a handful of pre-installed apps, including Sanchar Sathi. Thankfully, all of these apps can be uninstalled from the device. HMD has promised 2 years of security patches for the Vibe 2, but no major OS updates.
HMD’s custom skin is well optimised for the platform. It’s fluid, seamless, and light. Apart from the usual indicators (chunky bezel, waterdrop notch), you don’t feel like you’re browsing an entry-level phone. You also get Sarvam AI’s Indus assistant on this device. It supports 22 Indian languages, including Hinglish, which is quite impressive.
The 6,000mAh battery pack is the star of the show. If you’re a moderate user, you can push the battery life up to 2 days. Even power users will find it hard to kill this battery in a day. Our days ended with a 30-35% charge in the tank after 4-5 hours of screen time. The 18W charger provided in the box takes just over 3 hours to fully charge the phone.
The rear camera array of this device comprises a 50MP primary shooter and an auxiliary lens. The main camera takes decent pictures in outdoor daylight conditions. These images have a softness to them, but they flaunt tasteful colours. As far as budget phones go, we were happy with this performance. In limited lighting, the camera captured dim and grainy images, and the Night Mode did not do much to remedy the situation.

Portrait shots taken with the Vibe 2 come out vibrant and well-focused. We were quite surprised by how the camera maintained focus on the subject and even added a hint of background blur. The front-facing camera captures clear selfies with decent sharpness. This camera can record 1,080p videos at 30fps. Meanwhile, the main camera can shoot 4k footage at 30fps.
The HMD Vibe 2 is a good deal at Rs 12,999. Its big display, along with the bottom-firing speaker, is good for binging videos, movies, and TV shows. The solo speaker produces an impressive audio output. The Unisoc T8200 processor is able to handle routine, everyday tasks without breaking a sweat. HMD’s custom Android 16 skin feels light and intuitive. However, the star of the show for us is the 6,000mAh battery pack, which goes on and on without needing a top-up the entire day.

Google usually likes to control its own narrative. This week, Amazon had other plans. A fresh Google Pixel 11 colour leak, sparked by placeholder listings that briefly went live on the retail giant ahead of schedule, has given the world its clearest look yet at the entire Pixel 11 family. The listings covered the standard Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, complete with product images, key specifications and even a mysterious accessory nobody has officially heard of. With the Made by Google event confirmed for August 12, the search giant now has very few secrets left to unveil on stage.
New Colours for the Whole Pixel 11 Family
The base Pixel 11 appeared in three finishes. Depending on which part of the listing you trust, the green shade is called Moss or Pistachio, the pink one goes by Fuchsia or Hibiscus, and the classic black is either Midnight or Obsidian. The dual naming suggests these were draft pages still being polished, but the renders themselves line up neatly with earlier leaks.
The Pixel 11 Pro colour options look a touch more grown up. The larger sibling showed up in Dune, Light Fog, Pine and Sterling, with Pine also making an appearance on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. That deep green foldable, paired with a safer Midnight option, might just be the most striking Google foldable yet. If you were hoping for a wild design overhaul, temper those expectations. The silhouettes look nearly identical to last year, which fits Google’s publicly stated plan of refreshing its hardware design only every two to three years.
The Components Story Is Where It Gets Interesting
The visual changes may be modest, but the internals tell a different tale. The Pixel 11 series is expected to run on the new Tensor G6 chip, reportedly built on an advanced 2nm process, paired with a MediaTek M90 modem that replaces the Samsung Exynos units of previous generations. That modem swap alone could address one of the longest running Pixel complaints, patchy connectivity and heat.
The leaked listings also point to a 6.3-inch display with a 1080 x 2424 resolution on the base model, a 4,985mAh battery that is slightly larger than last year, and 12GB of RAM even on the entry variant. That last detail matters because earlier rumours suggested Google might trim the standard model down to 8GB to cut costs. A new image signal processor and a rumoured 50MP main sensor round out the camera upgrades, while eagle-eyed observers spotted what looks like a circular telephoto module on the Pro renders, hinting at a possible lens technology upgrade for better zoom quality.
Storage is getting a welcome bump too. The listings suggest 256GB is the new starting point across the lineup, with the base Pixel 11 priced at 899 dollars. The 128GB era for flagship Pixels finally appears to be over.
The Google Pixel Tag Just Got Very Real
Buried in the compatible accessories section was a mention of a Google Pixel Tag. No such product exists today, but rumours of a first-party item tracker to rival Apple’s AirTag have swirled for years. Seeing it named in retail listings is the strongest evidence yet that Google is ready to enter the tracking game, possibly on the same August stage.
Take every premature listing with a pinch of salt, since a few oddities, like a reference to Android 16 instead of Android 17, suggest these pages were rough drafts. Still, the sheer volume of matching details makes this one of the most credible Pixel leaks in recent memory. Google wanted an August surprise. Amazon apparently decided July was more fun. Either way, the Pixel 11 launch just became a formality, and honestly, we are not complaining.
