ASUS, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has just launched the world’s thinnest 3X optical zoom smartphone called ZenFone Zoom. The smartphone comes in Meteorite black and Glacier white colour options. The ASUS Zenfone Zoom features a. 5.5-inch touchscreen with 1080P Full HD resolution. Powering the smartphone is a 2.5GHz Intel Atom Z3590 Quad-Core processor and whooping 4 gigs of RAM. The onboard storage of the mobile phone accounts to 16GB, which can be expanded by up to 128GB using a microSD card. This smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The USP of this phone is its rear camera. Asus Zenfone Zoom sports a 13MP rear camera with 3X Optical Zoom Laser Auto-Focus capabilities and Dual-Colour real tone flash. Along with that there is also a 5MP front camera on this smartphone.  ASUS ZenFone Zoom offers 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. This mobile phone would house a 3,000 mAh battery that should keep it alive for long. The company hasn’t announced the price of ASUS ZenFone Zoom yet. But, we reckon it should be over Rs 20,000. Gionee launches its latest S5.1 Pro smartphone

Gionee has been doing the rounds and trying to make a mark in the mobile phone industry, both in Indi and abroad. Now, they have just expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of the new S5.1 Pro smartphone, which is 5.35mm thick. The Gionee S5.1 Pro smartphone features a 5-inch 2.5HD AMOLED display that comes with Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz Octa-Core processor running on MediaTek MT6753 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The Gionee S5.1Pro is a dual-SIM smartphone with dual standby support. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with the Amigo 3.0 skin on top. For graphics, there is a Mali T720 glued in. As far as its clicking capabilities are concerned, the Gionee S5.1Pro is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera. This smartphone offers 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The device packs a 2,400 mAh non-removable battery that should be able to keep the device awake for over 20 hours. The company hasn’t announced the price of the smartphone yet. Sony to bring its three new next-generation smartphones Xperia Z5 Premium, Z5 Compact and Xperia Z3 soon to India

Sony has just unveiled its next-generation Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z3 Premium. Hiroki Totoki, President and CEO at Sony Mobile Communications, said “Smartphones are part of people’s lives. It also features 32GB internal storage, which can be extended via a microSD card. The device is said to come equipped with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS 23-megapixel image sensor. It will also feature 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The Xperia Z5 Compact would house a 2,700 mAh battery.

Samsung has just announced the launch of the world’s slimmest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2. It is Samsung’s latest 4G enabled Galaxy tablet. This tablet is stylishly designed with a metal frame and looks beautiful. The Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in three colours, which consist of Gold, Black and White. The smartphone is available across all the different retail and online channels at a price of Rs 4,990. The manufacturer is also providing a smart cover as part of the sales pack.
