You can summon Gemini while reading an article or academic paper and ask the chatbot questions about the stuff that is relevant to your research. If you’re struggling to get through a book but don’t want to ditch it, you can use Gemini to summarise the remaining chapters. Like Gemini, ChatGPT can also analyse any PDF or document of your choice. The OnePlus 13 series is confirmed to be available via Amazon and the official OnePlus India website. Recently OnePlus revealed the official protective case options for the upcoming handsets. These cases will come with magnetic wireless charging support and will be available in the Sandstone Magnetic case. Whereas, the Wood Grain Magnetic Half-pack and Aramid Fiber Magnetic cases will be made available for the flagship OnePlus 13. In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 13 will be featuring a 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a Hasselblad-co-engineered triple-camera configuration, a 6,000mAh battery, and better robustness with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, all of which provide superior performance and visuals. The device was released in China in October and will come in three colours: Midnight Ocean, Black Eclipse, and Arctic Dawn. Samsung has officially announced to host the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. The South Korean tech band is expected to introduce new products including the much awaited Galaxy S25 Series later this month. The event is set to be streamed live on Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s YouTube channel. Samsung has officially announced it will host this year’s Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22. The event will be held in San Jose and will also be live-streamed via Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s YouTube channel beginning at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. GMT and 7 p.m. CET. The event invite reads, “Get ready for AI that is more natural and intuitive. The next evolution of Galaxy AI is coming and it’s going to change the way you interact with the world every day. The new Galaxy S series is about to set the bar once again for mobile AI experiences now and into the future.” “On January 22, Samsung Electronics will host Unpacked in San Jose. Join us as we unveil a new chapter in mobile AI — premium Galaxy innovations that bring seamless convenience into every moment of your life,” it further added. What can we expect at the event?  However, it is yet unclear what will be introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked Event, but the firm is likely to follow tradition and unveil the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. Additionally it’s said to include a triple camera module with an ultrawide sensor and telephoto lens, and an LED flash on the back. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is stated to come with a 6.88-inch QHD+ display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite with 12GB/16GB RAM, and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage. Additionally, it may house a 5,000mAh battery and feature a triple-camera module with LED flash. The camera setup is likely to include a 200MP main sensor with a 12MP telephoto lens and a 50MP tertiary camera. The Galaxy S25 Plus is said to have features similar to those of the Slim variant except for the battery and camera specs. Lastly, the standard S25 is speculated to have a 6.2-inch super AMOLED display, triple-camera module, LED flash, 12MP front camera, Android 15-based One Ui 7.0, 12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage. In the US/Canada/China the company is expected to provide a Qualcomm chipset whereas the global variant is stated to come integrated with the in-house Exynos chipset. Moreover, it could also sport a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charging support. The Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ are expected to be offered in a variety of colours, with the Ultra model possibly featuring titanium black, titanium grey, titanium jade green, titanium jet black, titanium pink gold, titanium silver blue, and titanium white silver. Last month, Xiaomi launched its new outdoor Bluetooth speaker alongside the Redmi Note 14 Series and Redmi Buds 6 TWS. The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor speaker is priced aggressively at Rs 3,999. It rocks a 20W woofer and a 10W driver to deliver a 30W audio output. To further enrich the sonic output, the Sound Outdoor has a passive woofer radiator on either side. Adding to the outdoor appeal of the speaker is its IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Xiaomi’s outdoor Bluetooth speaker is available in 3 colour options – Black, Red, and Blue. The Black variant has a contrasting orange lanyard while the other two variants stick with the body colour for the looping rubber strip. This lanyard also houses the power, Bluetooth, and multi-speaker pairing buttons. The media control buttons are positioned on top of the speaker. At the bottom lie the two rubber feet to keep the speaker firmly in place. Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker Review: Design Our favourite thing about Xiaomi Sound Outdoor’s design is its tubular form factor with defined edges. These edges ensure that the speaker doesn’t roll off the surface. The device is covered with a mesh fabric which wards off the dust quite easily. The rubber media control buttons are shaped like the +, -, and play signs. This makes them easier to find without looking at the device. There are no LED lights or indicators on the speaker. We would have preferred a compact light bar to indicate the battery level, but its absence isn’t a deal breaker. Xiaomi Sound Outdoor Speaker Review: Design Xiaomi Sound Outdoor’s IP67 rating makes it a great device for outdoor pool parties and beach visits. The speaker remains unaffected by water splashes and gentle drizzles. Having said that, we wouldn’t recommend subjecting it to harsh conditions on a regular basis as water protection on electronic devices in general can hit a point of diminishing return fairly quickly.

Producing the audio output on the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor are 20W + 10W dual drivers. These front-facing drivers are accompanied by a passive woofer radiator on either side. The speaker supports Bluetooth 5.4 which makes the pairing process quick and easy. Since there is no 3.5 jack on the device, your connectivity options are limited to Bluetooth. performance Now, let’s talk about the most important aspect of the Sound Outdoor speaker – it’s soundstage. For a Bluetooth speaker priced at Rs 3,999, the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor produces a phenomenal audio output. Looking at the spec sheet, you may be wondering whether the 20W woofer driver and the passive subwoofers are overkill. After using the speaker for a week, we can happily report that the strong low-end does not meddle with the lucid mid and high-range frequencies. While the soundstage is far from neutral, it is quite lush and packed with details. The added ‘punch’ from the side woofers makes the listening experience all the more enjoyable. We played Khruangin’s A La Sala on the Sound Outdoor and were pleased with the way it relayed the mix. The clean guitar tone and sharp clapper hits were delivered expertly with a warm blanket of surrounding bass. Playing Adrianne Lenker’s Bright Future, we were impressed with how the speaker managed the relatively quieter mix and gave more prominence to the vocals and acoustic guitar.  performance In outdoor conditions, you can push the volume level to 100% without worrying about any distortion creeping into the soundstage. However, since the audio drivers on this speaker are front-facing only, people sitting behind it are unable to get the full sonic experience. This is where the Sound Outdoor’s linking chops come into play. With just one press of a button, this device can connect with other speakers and relay the audio output without any latency. The Sound Outdoor is capable of connecting with 99 additional speakers. If your phone is out of reach, you can use Xiaomi Sound Outdoor to take calls by just pressing the play button. The sole microphone on the speaker does a good job of relaying the speaker’s voice in indoor conditions. However, in noisy outdoor conditions, the call quality takes a hit. Xiaomi claims that the 2,600mAh battery pack on this speaker can power it up to 12 hours on a single charge. This claim is true if you don’t push the speaker beyond the 50% volume level. During the review period, we used the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor speaker between 70-80% volume level and got 8-10 hours of playtime out of it. It takes up to 2.5 hours to fully charge the speaker. Verdict

Xiaomi Outdoor Sound checks all the essential boxes while also being easy on the wallet. The vibrant and detailed soundstage punches above its weight and outperforms almost every speaker in this category. The two woofer radiators along the sides add the thump to the mix and make the listening experience all the more enjoyable. On top of that, Xiaomi Sound Outdoor’s IP67 rating and 12-hour battery life further embolden its case for being one of the best speakers for outdoor use.

Cyber threats have evolved along with the modern, highly connected digital space. Ankush Bahuguna, a well-known YouTuber and influencer, was recently scammed by a digital arrest scam. On Instagram, he posted a lengthy video that described his experience falling for a tech-based scam. Scammers are using technology to trick people, which has increased cyber crime in the digital age. An instance of this occurred involving YouTuber Ankush Bahuguna. Ankush Bahuguna, a YouTuber, posted a video on Instagram about being kept hostage during a cyber arrest in which his bank account information was stolen. He expressed horror and shock at the incident, and he was placed in isolation for forty hours as a result of the scam. The risks of cybercrime are emphasised throughout the video. He describes how scammers kept them hostage, caused them to lose money, and negatively impacted his mental health in an 8-minute video. He said, “Sharing this so others don’t have to go through what I went through. I feel so lucky to have friends with such strong instincts who noticed a change in my behaviour even when they were getting “I’m okay” texts from me. They literally saved the day. What actually happened?

After getting back from the gym, he received an international call from an odd number that had +1 prefixed, and he answered it. Ankush stated that the call was regarding a cancelled courier delivery; however, the influencer did not send any courier, and the caller framed him into a false story. He was informed that his courier package had been confiscated by customs because it contained an unlawful substance. Notably, his horror started when he was told to press a zero for support during the fictitious phone call, which put him under Digital Arrest, also known as Cyber Arrest. The biggest mistake he made was pressing zero because he didn’t send any courier overseas. The call was then instantly switched to a WhatsApp video call where police officers told him he was under self-custody and that he was involved in several serious cases, including money laundering, drug trafficking, and other serious crimes. Keep in mind that scams frequently start with a simple phone call posing as a bank, courier agency, telecom department, or mobile service provider. The call, which can be recorded or direct, is linked to a person posing as a support person and starts the trauma. Bahuguna was told to follow his instructions if he didn’t want to get into trouble by the individual posing as a police officer. Ankush was compelled to give them all of his information, including his Aadhar number and personal information, after he followed the instructions and turned off all of his phones and other gadgets present at his home. In order to fool victims into thinking their accounts have been used for illicit purposes, fraudsters frequently gather personal information such as bank account details, Aadhaar, and PAN. They then use video conferencing, phone calls, or WhatsApp to issue arrest warrants while posing as law enforcement officials like the Police, Customs, ED, and CBI. After that, victims are connected to fake law enforcement officers. They threatened him and sent him to a bank for questionable transactions, which fortunately didn’t happen because the branch was closed. He was subsequently forced to leave his home because he was being contacted by his friends, managers, and family, who even showed up at his door to see how he was doing because he was not answering calls and was only texting them to say he was okay. You may be wondering why he didn’t tell his loved ones because he was always prompted to share the screen capture whenever he got a call or message. Bahuguna didn’t realise he had been conned until a friend texted him when he was in a hotel room, raising suspicions of fraud. In order to prevent fraudsters from stealing money from their victims, digital arrest entails limiting access to digital accounts and platforms, prohibiting digital actions, monitoring via video calls, and reporting attendance. The most recent strategy used by cybercriminals to mislead victims is the “Digital Arrest” scam, which takes advantage of their fear. By taking advantage of law enforcement officials’ anxiety, this strategy defrauds victims of their legal issues by letting them fall victim to scam artists who aren’t aware of warning signs. First of all, you cannot be detained digitally, and digital arrest is a hoax. Scammers who pose as law enforcement or legal officials and claim to have a warrant for your arrest or investigation for online crimes or cyber offences are known as “digital arrest scams.” They frequently threaten to arrest you if you don’t agree with their demands for instant payment or personal information.

To safeguard yourself against Digital Arrest scams, stop and gather yourself, and think things through. In order to verify the contact, call the purported agency directly rather than using the number that was provided. Inform local law enforcement or consumer protection agencies about the occurrence in order to keep tabs on scams and alert others. Protect your data by changing passwords and notifying your bank of any shared financial information. To guard against malware and phishing efforts, use the most recent security software.
