If you no longer wish to use an email address that’s linked to your Apple ID, there is an easy way to change it. You will not lose any data when you change your email. But you need to make sure your data is backed up on iCloud before you begin this process. You will be able to use all Apple services once you’ve updated your email.

Here’s how you can change your Apple ID email address
Step 1: Open appleid.apple.com on your web browser and sign in.
Step 2: Go to Sign-In and Security section and select Apple ID.
Step 3: In the box that pops up, enter the new email address that you wish to register.
Step 4: Visit your email inbox for the verification code. Copy and paste it into the designated box.
Step 5: Your Apple ID email has been successfully changed. Login again to all the Apple devices and services that you use.

If you’re trying to change your Apple ID to an @icloud.com address, make sure the email is over 30 days old. This is the minimum time period required to register for Apple ID. If the email address you want to register is already in use, check if a family member is using that email and remove it from their Apple ID before registering it to yours. If your Apple ID is an email, it cannot be changed to your number.
