In the account, they can download games and manage their library. What if you want to dispose of an account or shut it down for good? Following these steps, one can easily shut down/remove their account from Sony PlayStation 5.
Remove account from Console
Step 1 – On the console head to/click on the cog icon in the upper right corner.
Step 2 – Head to Users and Accounts.
Step 3 – Go to users and select Sign-off
Note – This will remove the account from the console, it won’t completely delete it.

Delete account completely
This will permanently delete the account and the user won’t be able to access things like purchases, credits, scores, subscriptions, funds in PSN wallet and won’t be able to transfer stuff to another PSN account.
Step 1 – Head to the official Sony Playstation website.
Step 2 – Click on the Contact us tab once the website is open.

Provide them with your email credentials and online ID so they can raise a ticket for you. Upon the verification, customer support will get back to you in a couple of days to inform you if you could shut down your account or not. This is how you can delete your PS5 user account.
