After waiting for a long time Poco M3 Pro 5G finally has an official launch date for the Indian region. The launch of the 5G smartphone is now set for June 8. The device was earlier scheduled to launch here and in the global market on May 19 but was postponed in India due to rising COVID cases. The upcoming smartphone features a Full-HD+ display and is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. There is a 5,000mAh battery on board with 18W fast charging support.
The company took to Twitter to make the official announcement that the Poco M3 Pro is set to launch in the country on June 8. Poco has not shared further information but has been listed on Flipkart to tease its availability.
Expected pricing and availability
Speaking of the pricing the global variant is priced at 159 euros that translates to Rs 14,226 for the base 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. Whereas the price of the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model is set at 179 euros that translates to Rs 16,000. Poco M3 Pro 5G is expected to be available in three colour options of Power Black, Poco Yellow and Cool Blue.
Coming to the specs, the Poco M3 Pro 5G is highlighted with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Dot Display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate panel and 400 nits of brightness. The device runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11 and is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The global version comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS2.2 storage which can be expanded using a microSD card.
In terms of optics, the smartphone comes with a triple rear camera set up consisting of a 48MP main camera with an f/1.79 aperture. Further assisted by a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4. For taking selfies, the device equips an 8MP front-facing camera at f/2.0 fps aperture.
There is a 5,000mAh battery on board that supports 18W fast charging. On the connectivity front, there is 5G / 4G, 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack and more as connectivity options. The sensors onboard include a Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Electronic compass IR blaster and a Side fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.
