Samsung Galaxy Fit-series and Galaxy Watch Active launched in India: Price and features

Back in February 2019, Samsung had showcased its new Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e smart fitness bands at its Unpacked 2019 event in San Francisco. The fitness bands were launched alongside the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy S10-series. Months later, the South Korean technology giant has launched its Galaxy Fit-series fitness bands in India. Along with the fitness bands, Samsung has also unveiled its Galaxy Watch Active. The new Galaxy Fit bands are aimed at the fitness freaks and they offer them with lots of interesting features. Prior to their launch, the fitness bands had already been teased on Flipkart.

Samsung Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Fit e and Galaxy Watch Active price and availability

Samsung Galaxy Fit holds a price tag of Rs 9,990 and it is available in Silver and Black colour options. On the other hand, the Galaxy Fit e is priced at Rs 2,590 and it comes in Black, White and Yellow colour variants. Lastly, the Galaxy Watch Active comes in four colour options – Black, Silver, Rose Gold and Deep Green and it is priced at Rs 19,990.

Samsung Galaxy Active and Galaxy Fit will be available on all retail stores along with Samsung Opera House starting June 25. Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will be available on Amazon India and Samsung e-Shop as well. On the other hand, the Galaxy Fit can be purchased from Flipkart, Myntra and Samsung e-Shop.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Fit e will be made available on Flipkart, Myntra and Samsung e-Shop from July 5 onwards. After July 19, it will be available in select offline stores as well.

Samsung Galaxy Fit fitness band specifications and features

The Samsung Galaxy Fit sports a 0.95-inch Full Colour AMOLED display with 282ppi pixel density. It supports full touch display and comes with BLE connectivity. The Samsung Galaxy Fit packs a 120mAh battery and according to the company, it is capable of offering 7 days of battery life. The fitness band has a heart-rate monitor, an accelerometer and a gyroscope for sensors. It is MIL-STD-810G certified and offers 5ATM of water resistance.

The smart band holds a dimension of 18.3 x 45.1 x 11.2mm and weighs 23g with strap. The device supports NFC wireless charging as well and some of its health-based features includes – Activity tracking, sleep tracker, stress tracker, among others. The Samsung Galaxy Fit is compatible with all Samsung smartphones running Android 5.0 or above and iPhone 7 or above.

Samsung Galaxy Fit e fitness band specifications and features

Samsung Galaxy Fit e is the cheapest of the lot and it sports a 0.74-inch PMOLED display with 193ppi pixel density. It has a 70mAh battery that can offer up to 7 days of battery life. The Galaxy Fit e comes with POGO charging pin and it too has a heart rate monitor along with an accelerometer. There is BLE connectivity support in Galaxy Fit e and it has dimensions of 16.0 x 40.2 x 10.9mm. It weighs 15g with strap.

The smart band offers 5TAM of water resistance and comes with MIL-STD-810G certification. Some of the health features that come inbuilt in the new Galaxy Fit e are – Activity tracker, Auto workout detection, sleep tracker, heart rate monitor etc. The band supports all the notification from the smartphone that it is connected to. The Galaxy Fit e is compatible with Samsung smartphones running Android 5.0 or above and iPhone 5 or above.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active specifications and features

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active sports a 1.1-inch 360 x 360 AMOLED full colour always on display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It supports a 20mm interchangeable strap and offers a 230mAh battery. The Galaxy Watch Active is powered by an Exynos 9110 dual core running at 1.15GHz. The Galaxy Watch Active runs Tizen-based Wearable OS 4.0 and comes with 768MB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage. The smart watch supports Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, NFC, A-GPS/Glonass for connectivity and has WPC-based wireless charging.

Its dimensions are 39.5 x 39.5 x 10.5mm and it weighs 25g. Samsung Galaxy Watch Active comes with Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer, Heart Rate Monitoring, Ambient Light for sensors. It has IP68 water resistance and it is MIL-STD-810G certified. The new smart watch is compatible with Samsung smartphones running Android 5.0 or above and iPhone 5 or above.
