Vivo V20 with 44-megapixel selfie camera confirmed to launch in India on October 13

The Chinese smartphone company, Vivo, has officially confirmed that its latest Vivo V20 smartphone is going to land in India on October 13. The company declared the launch date via Twitter. Also, the smartphone has got listed on Flipkart to tease its availability. To recall the company launched three smartphones Vivo V20, Pro and SE later last month. Earlier out of the three handsets the V20 and V20 Pro were speculated to launch in India. But today the company’s announcement and Flipkart teaser have confirmed only the vanilla variant. Vivo India took to Twitter announce the launch date for the Vivo V20 series for the country. The company’s tweet has confirmed only Vivo V20 is coming to India. The launch is set for October 13 other details are yet to be shared later on. On Flipkart, a microsite to tease the availability of the upcoming smartphone has also been created. As per the listing, the device is going to fall between Rs 20,000- Rs 30,000 price segment. Moreover, the official listing shares some key highlights also with colour options the smartphone will be available in.

To recall, Vivo V20 was introduced in Midnight Jazz and Sunset Melody colour options in other world areas.

Vivo V20 specifications

Vivo V20 comes with a 6.44-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio with HDR10 support. The device runs on Funtouch OS 11, based on Android 11. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Vivo V20 features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor with f/1.89 aperture. Further assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The camera setup supports features such as Super Night Mode, Tripod Night Mode, Motion Autofocus, EyeFaceBody Autofocus, Object Autofocus, and Double Exposure. While on the front it comes with a 44-megapixel selfie sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The device has a 4,000mAh battery that supports a 33W FlashCharge fast charging solution. For connectivity, it has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and a USB Type-C port.
