Poco Buds X1 Review: Design
Let’s examine the Poco Buds X1 in more detail. With minor modifications, the form factor is mostly based on the Apple AirPods. The magnetic charging case has rounded corners and a squarish design. There is just one titanium colour available. Because of its matte appearance, the plastic construction resists smudges and fingerprints. Given its compact size, the case may fit in your pocket or clutch purse. Both the TWS earbuds and the charging case are quite lightweight. It feels nice to touch.It features a connection status indication in the front that resembles a horizontal slit.The Type-C charging connector is located below, while the LED indication is positioned on the front side, towards the bottom. There is also a pairing button right next to it. When you charge it, the LED light goes on. The Poco branding is located at the back. One issue is that the charging case’s lid voice is a little loud while opening and closing, but the case’s lid is firmly in place.However, given that the earbuds cost Rs 1,599, the loud lid sound thing may be ignored. But you can open the lid with just one hand, which is quite convenient.When you open the case, the lovely yellow accent hue is visible, and it looks great.Earbuds are visible within the charging case, occupying their respective sections. We also like that when you open the case, the earbuds don’t simply fall out. They didn’t fall off even though we shaked the unit a lot to get them to pop out.The earphones are made of polycarbonate and have buds and a stem design. Additionally, we saw a few microphones on them that would be useful for noise cancellation and phone calls. It is well-made, compact and lovely.Because of their IP54 classification, the earphones are shielded from dust and splashes of moisture. Wearing them at the gym or while running is OK, but we advise keeping them as far away from water as you can. Sadly, there is no IP rating for the case.Although the earbuds lack any LEDs to show the battery level, they do feature a tiny LED on the shell, exactly like other gadgets. When the earphones are taken out or the lid is opened, it lights.You may change the track, play or stop music, answer or end calls, and even reject calls using the touch control on the earphones. Additionally, the Xiaomi Earbuds app allows you to personalise each of these gestures to your preference.They are quite comfortable, and the touch functionality is perfect. Considering the quality of their make, they are lightweight. Additionally, because of the in-ear design, we had no trouble wearing them for extended periods. Let’s now discuss the features and technical specifications of the earbuds. Touch controls and 12.4mm dynamic titanium drivers are features of the Poco Buds X1. They are compatible with SBC and AAC audio codecs and Bluetooth 5.3 connection. Google Fast Pairing is another function, however, the pop-up window just did not appear. Next, we paired the device via the Bluetooth settings, the conventional method.After seeing a pop-up requesting that we download the Xiaomi earphones app, we did so.Connectivity is also another crucial feature of the Poco TWS earbuds. We experienced no issues with connectivity either indoors or outside. However, the range should have been improved because the music would abruptly stop playing when the phone had been powered up in the room while we were outside on the balcony. It functions flawlessly up close, but not so well when there is a wall or two in between.Now let’s discuss the audio quality. We enjoyed listening to music with the earbuds. The highs, instruments, and vocals were all clear and crisp. We thought the bass was weak, but the acoustic profile is well-balanced. It’s not for you if you enjoy deep bass. However, you may adjust the sound profile from the app’s settings. Enhance Bass is an option there, but it wasn’t strong enough for us. Moreover, you may adjust the EQ to your requirements.These inexpensive earbuds also provide superb noise cancellation during calls. The caller on the other end will be able to hear you clearly as you enjoy clear audio. When listening to music, it muffles all of the background noise that is superfluous and bothersome, such as chatting and fan noise, among other things. Due to its absence of dual connection, the TWS can only connect to one device at a time. It does not allow in-ear detection and does not have a dedicated low-latency mode.Given that these earbuds are inexpensive, we have no complaints. Ending our Diwali laptop gifting list is the Dell Vostro 15. This laptop is available in a 16GB DDR4 RAM + 512GB SSD storage configuration. Processor duties are handled by the 12th-gen Intel Core i5-1235U. There are 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 headset jack, 1 HDMI 1.4 port, 1 SD 3.0 card slot, and 1 Flip-Down RJ-45 port on this laptop. The 15.6-inch FHD display has a 120Hz refresh rate and can hit a maximum brightness of 250 nits. The narrow bezels around the display give it a more immersive look.
What we like
Let’s examine the Poco Buds X1 in more detail. With minor modifications, the form factor is mostly based on the Apple AirPods. The magnetic charging case has rounded corners and a squarish design. There is just one titanium colour available. Because of its matte appearance, the plastic construction resists smudges and fingerprints. Given its compact size, the case may fit in your pocket or clutch purse. Both the TWS earbuds and the charging case are quite lightweight. It feels nice to touch.
It features a connection status indication in the front that resembles a horizontal slit.
The Type-C charging connector is located below, while the LED indication is positioned on the front side, towards the bottom. There is also a pairing button right next to it. When you charge it, the LED light goes on. The Poco branding is located at the back. One issue is that the charging case’s lid voice is a little loud while opening and closing, but the case’s lid is firmly in place.
However, given that the earbuds cost Rs 1,599, the loud lid sound thing may be ignored. But you can open the lid with just one hand, which is quite convenient.
When you open the case, the lovely yellow accent hue is visible, and it looks great.
Earbuds are visible within the charging case, occupying their respective sections. We also like that when you open the case, the earbuds don’t simply fall out. They didn’t fall off even though we shaked the unit a lot to get them to pop out.
The earphones are made of polycarbonate and have buds and a stem design. Additionally, we saw a few microphones on them that would be useful for noise cancellation and phone calls. It is well-made, compact and lovely.
Because of their IP54 classification, the earphones are shielded from dust and splashes of moisture. Wearing them at the gym or while running is OK, but we advise keeping them as far away from water as you can. Sadly, there is no IP rating for the case.
Although the earbuds lack any LEDs to show the battery level, they do feature a tiny LED on the shell, exactly like other gadgets. When the earphones are taken out or the lid is opened, it lights.
You may change the track, play or stop music, answer or end calls, and even reject calls using the touch control on the earphones. Additionally, the Xiaomi Earbuds app allows you to personalise each of these gestures to your preference.
They are quite comfortable, and the touch functionality is perfect. Considering the quality of their make, they are lightweight. Additionally, because of the in-ear design, we had no trouble wearing them for extended periods. In addition, the earphones create a great seal in the ears, which enhances the depth of sound and reduces background noise to some extent.

Now let’s discuss the audio quality. We enjoyed listening to music with the earbuds. The highs, instruments, and vocals were all clear and crisp. We thought the bass was weak, but the acoustic profile is well-balanced. It’s not for you if you enjoy deep bass. However, you may adjust the sound profile from the app’s settings. Enhance Bass is an option there, but it wasn’t strong enough for us. Moreover, you may adjust the EQ to your requirements.
These inexpensive earbuds also provide superb noise cancellation during calls. The caller on the other end will be able to hear you clearly as you enjoy clear audio. When listening to music, it muffles all of the background noise that is superfluous and bothersome, such as chatting and fan noise, among other things. In essence, it eliminates all noise and plays clear music.

Additionally, it has a transparency mode that you can activate via the companion app, which is essentially the opposite of ENC and increases your awareness of your surroundings.
