Recently Asus launched its flagship smartphone – Asus 6Z– in India that comes with rotating camera setup and Snapdragon 855 SoC at a starting price of Rs 31,000. Now, the predecessor of the device – Asus 5Z – that also known as Asus ZenFone 5Z, has received a price cut in the country. Following the Indian High Court judgment, Asus has renamed the Asus ZenFone 5Z to Asus 5Z.
The smartphone is available in two storage variants in India. While the base model of Asus ZenFone 5Z has6GB RAM and 128GB storage, the other one has 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. Both the storage variants of the device have received a price cut of Rs 3,000. The new revised price of the device is available on the e-commerce website Flipkart. The Chinese technology brand launched the smartphone last year and it received the last price cut in June this year.
To recall, the Asus ZenFone 5Z was launched in the country last year. With its affordable pricing and high-end specifications, it gave a tough fight to the likes of OnePlus 6. The key highlights of Asus ZenFone 5Z include Snapdragon 845 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM. Asus ZenFone 5Z revised price and discount offers
The 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant is now available at a revised price of Rs24,999. The 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage variant can now be picked up at Rs28,999. Both the devices can be purchased via Flipkart. The e-commerce website is offering no-cost EMI option to its buyers. In addition to this, it is also offering a discount of up to Rs 17,900 on the exchange of an old device. While purchasing the handset using the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card, the buyers will get a 5percent cashback. The buyers can also avail 5 percent instant discounts on EMIs while using their ICICI Bank credit and debit cards. The HDFC Bank debit cards users will get a 5 percent cashback, and on the other hand, the Axis Bank Buzz credit card users will get a discount of 5 percent.
Asus ZenFone 5Z specifications
The Asus ZenFone 5Z features a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2246 pixels) Super IPS+ display that has an aspect ratio of 18.9:9. The device runs Android 9.0 Pie skinned with ZenUI. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with Adreno 630GPU and has up to 8GB of RAM. It comes with up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage and that can hold a microSD card of up to 2TB. The device houses a 3,300mAh battery that has support for Quick Charge 3.0.
On the imaging front, the Asus smartphone is available with a dual-rear camera setup that includes a 12MP Sony IMX363 main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP OmniVision 8856 wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. There is an 8MP front camera with a fixed focus and OmniVision 8856 sensor for selfies and video calling.
