Followed by a launch of Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G the California-based technology giant has now confirmed a concrete launch date for the 4G variant of Pixel 4a in India. The company is now about to unveil the smartphone through the e-commerce website Flipkart. To recall the device is the successor of Pixel 3a. It was launched globally a couple of months back but at the time of the launch, the company did not reveal when it is coming to India. As we mentioned earlier the company on Tuesday launched Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G globally but sadly both the 5G devices are not arriving in the country as the company said.
Google today announced via tweet that Pixel 4a will be launching in India on October 17. It will go on sale through Flipkart however the company is yet to share the Indian pricing for the device. In August when the device was launched globally the price was set at $349 that translates to Rs 26,250 that is cheaper than its previous generation 3a.
Google Pixel 4a specifications
Google Pixel 4a first comes with a 5.8 inches OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution at 1,080×2,340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio along with a pixel density at 443 PPI. It comes in a single Just Black colour option. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Speaking of the cameras, Google Pixel 4a features a single 12-megapixel single rear camera set up on the phone having f/1.7 aperture with optical image stabilisation (OIS) for stable images. There are various camera modes such as dual exposure controls, Portrait Mode, Top Shot, Night Sight with astrophotography functions, and fused video stabilisation. While on the front there is an 8-megapixel selfie sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.
This smartphone boasts a 3,140mAh battery supported by an 18W fast charger. In terms of connectivity, there is a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1 + LE, A2DP 7, NFC, Google Cast, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. While the sensors included here is an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a barometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer, a proximity sensor and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
