Redmi this month launched many new smartphones in India. Redmi 8 is also among many other smartphones. The smartphone was launched by Xiaomi’s sub-brand earlier this month which is the successor of Redmi 7 which was introduced in the country this year. The key highlights of the smartphone include a dual rear camera set up, 5000nAh battery and Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. The handset earlier went on sale via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home offline stores. Today again the company is putting up the 4GB variant on sale on the above-mentioned website and stores. Redmi Note 8 pricing, availability and sale offers
Redmi 8 will go on its second sale via online platforms Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores from 12 noon onwards. The newly launched smartphone will be available in four colour options Oynx Black, Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue that also comes with a splash-resistant P2i coating and Xiaomi’s Aura Mirror design.
The company launched Redmi 8 in two storage variant GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The younger sibling comes at Rs 7,999 and the elder sibling will be available at Rs 8,999. But today only the 4GB variant will be available on sale through these platforms.
The sale offers includes a 10 percent instant discount if the payment is made using HDFC Bank debit cards. Whereas the e-commerce platform Flipkart will be offering a 5 percent cashback if the transactions are made through Flipkart Axis Bank credit card or Axis Bank Buzz credit card.
Redmi 8 specifications
Redmi 8 runs MIUI skinned on Android 9 Pie OS and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The latest device features a 6.22-inch High Definition IPS LCD Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The is a microSD card slot that gives you an option to expand the memory using a microSD card up to 512GB.
In terms of optics, Redmi 8 comes with an AI-powered dual rear camera system. The camera system includes a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The set up is supported by features like AI Scene Detection and Google Lens. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with AI Portrait mode and face unlock feature.
Redmi 8 draws the power from a 5,000mAh battery supported with 18W fast charging technology. But the company provides a 10W charger and the 18W charger is available separately. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, infrared, wireless FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back panel.
