OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R price in India leaked ahead of upcoming launch

The OnePlus 13 Series India launch is approaching. The Indian pricing for the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R was leaked online before the official announcement. The mobile phones are set to debut in the country on January 7th. The OnePlus 13 made its Chinese debut in October. The Indian variant, which uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, could be similar to the present Chinese version. The OnePlus 13R, which will replace the OnePlus 12R, is a revised version of the OnePlus Ace 5.

The OnePlus 13 series will be released globally on January 7. The OnePlus 13 will be available in India through Amazon and the official OnePlus India website. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus 13 is expected to cost between Rs 67,000 and Rs 70,000, with two variants: 12GB RAM with 256GB Storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB Storage.

According to leaks, the OnePlus 13R, a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5, would be available in India for Rs 39,000 for a 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option.

The OnePlus 13R, which will be identical to the OnePlus Ace 5, is said to have a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, triple-camera system, 6,400mAh battery, and IP65 water and dust protection.

The handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 3 CPU, which is a successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 engine found in the current OnePlus 12R model.
Aside from that, the forthcoming phone has been confirmed to have a 6,000mAh battery. It will include a Gorilla Glass 7i screen and an aluminium frame. It will be available in two colourways: Nebula Noir and Astral Trail, both inspired by Mother Nature.

The OnePlus 13, on the other hand, has a 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a Hasselblad-co-engineered triple-camera configuration, a 6,000mAh battery, and better robustness with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, all of which provide superior performance and visuals. The device was released in China in October and will come in three colours: Midnight Ocean, Black Eclipse, and Arctic Dawn.

In 2025, the electronics behemoth Samsung intends to introduce more than a dozen new inverter AC models, bringing its total number of SKUs to 15–16. With this calculated move, Samsung is making a comeback to a competitive market from which it had retreated almost ten years ago. Increasing temperatures, development, and income growth have all contributed to India’s growing demand for air conditioners.

According to a PTI source, Samsung India desires to recover the residential air-conditioner industry, which enjoyed a considerable sales increase in the summer. The company aims to launch over a dozen inverter AC variants for its 2025 portfolio, boosting the total number of stock-keeping units to 15-16. Targeting customers looking for high-end air conditioners and additional amenities, Samsung plans to introduce its own room air conditioner (RAC) with smart capabilities including Bespoke AI solutions.

After targeting high-growth markets like smartphones and smart TVs, Samsung is making a bold comeback to the RAC industry. Targeting customers who are prepared to pay more for high-quality products, the company is entering the AC industry by utilising its new development and innovation skills.

Due to its decision to concentrate its efforts on high-growth sectors like smartphones, smart TVs, and LED screens, Samsung, which was formerly the second-largest player in the RAC segment, lost market share in 2014–15.

Customers are choosing higher average selling price (ASP) appliances and paying more for connected and energy-efficient models, which is causing the Indian appliance market to premiumize. Chinese tech company Xiaomi has officially confirmed the exact launch date for Xiaomi Pad 7 for the India market. The company has also created a dedicated microsite for the upcoming tablet ahead of the launch. The device will succeed the Xiaomi Pad 6 that debuted in the country last year. The tab was introduced alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro in China in October.

Xiaomi has officially revealed that the Xiaomi Pad 7 will be launching in India on January 10. The company has also listed the device on Amazon. The dedicated microsite confirms the availability of the product on the platform.

Xiaomi Pad 7 price and specification

The Xiaomi Pad 7 was launched in China in October at CNY 1,999 which translates to Rs 23,329 for 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option. There is another 8Gb RAM with 256GB storage option priced at CNY 2,299, approximately Rs 26,830. The 12Gb RAM with 256GB storage option is available at CNY 2,599 which comes to around Rs 26,830. In China, it is available in two colour options Sky Blue and Black.

In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Chinese variant comes with an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD screen with 2,136×3,200 pixels of resolution. The displat has up to 144Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Also it has 345ppi and up to 800 nits of peak brightness. The screen includes TUV Rheinland certification.

The tablet runs on HyperOS 2 and is powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. Additionally the phone features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The device also houses an 8,850mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, there is 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and a USB Type-C port. OnePlus Open is highlighted with a 7.82-inch LTPO 3.0 Flexi-fluid AMOLED primary display with 2440×2268 pixels of resolution. The screen offers a 2K resolution with 426 ppi pixel density. It has an aspect ratio of 1.0758: 1 and a screen-to-body ratio of 89.6%. The screen supports a dynamic refresh rate ranging between 1-120Hz and a touch response rate of up to 240Hz. 1400 nits is a typical screen brightness and 2800 nits are the peak brightness. The display also supports sRGB, DCI-P3, 10-bit Color Depth and TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care protection.

On the other hand, the secondary display features Super Fluid AMOLED with LTPO 3.0 measuring 6.31 inches. The 2K display has 2484×1116 pixels of resolution. The rest of the outer display details are the same as the inner display. The company has used Ultra Thin Glass on the primary and Ceramic Guard protection on the secondary display.

We like Realme’s ‘less is more’ design philosophy on the GT 7 Pro. The smartphone has a clean design and relies on its build and form factor to exude a premium feel. The curved glass back has a matte finish which keeps the fingerprints and smudges at bay. The brushed pattern on the ‘Galaxy Grey’ colour variant (which we used for this review) is very subtle and unassuming. The two-step camera panel does not protrude heavily from the back panel but causes a significant wobble when the smartphone is placed on the desk due to its top-right positioning. Alongside the camera sensors, this module also houses the IR blaster.

The aluminium frame has a similar matte finish as the glass back panel. It houses the SIM tray, primary microphone, USB Type-C slot, and speaker grille on its bottom edge. The volume rocker keys and the side button are placed on the right edge. Up top, lie the secondary speaker and microphone. The left edge of the frame has been left keyless.

The 120Hz, 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display is the centrepiece of the GT 7 Pro. This AMOLED panel can reach a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, making it one of the brightest displays we’ve used so far. In High Brightness Mode, it can hit 2,000 nits. The display held up really well under direct sunlight and we did not encounter legibility issues even on bright days. The ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is positioned in the ideal spot and works like a charm. The curved display, along with the curved back panel, elevates the in-hand feel of the device.

During the review period, we streamed a lot of titles on the Realme GT 7 Pro across major platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and more. The 1,264 x 2,780p display did an amazing job of relaying detailed images with rich colours. The contrast levels were perfectly optimised and the display offered a good range of viewing angles. The dual speaker setup produced a good audio output, but we felt it slightly lacked low-range frequencies. Nevertheless, the viewing experience was top-notch.

The GT 7 Pro is rated IP68/69 for dust and water resistance. It can withstand water immersion up to 2m for 30 minutes. The ultrasonic fingerprint scanner works perfectly when the device is immersed in water and acts as a shutter in the native camera’s ‘Underwater’ mode.

Qualcomm’s flagship chipset for 2025, Snapdragon 8 Elite, lies at the heart of the Realme GT 7 Pro. Upon running the Geekbench 6 app, the smartphone returned a single-core score of 2,930 points and a multi-core score of 6,640 points. In comparison, the iQOO 13 (our review here), powered by the same chipset, scored 3,093 and 9,858 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

The GT 7 Pro’s LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage make it one of the fastest smartphones around. Apps load instantly and the smartphone can run a dozen at the same time without dropping its performance level. Everyday tasks like calling, texting, web browsing, media streaming, and navigation are handled with ease. The haptic motor is tuned nicely and offers very satisfying feedback. The AMOLED display facilitates a smooth browsing experience and registers even the most subtle touches.

During the review period, we played titles like Call of Duty Mobile and Asphalt Legends Unite on the Realme GT 7 Pro and were impressed with its gaming performance. The 11,480mm² ‘Iceberg’ Dual VC Cooling System does a good job of keeping the smartphone’s internal temperature in check. We noticed the first signs of heating after 30 minutes of intense gaming. We kept going for another 30 minutes and did not hit any roadblocks. Frame drops and lags are not a thing when you’re gaming on this device.

The GT 7 Pro has a couple of handy performance-boosting features in its gaming sidebar. The ‘Frame Plus’ tool pushes the frame rate of the game you’re to 120fps. ‘Hyper HRD’ enhances the gaming graphics with vibrant colours. You enable only one tool at a time. What we find unusual is that you cannot unlock the 120fps frame rate of games like Call of Duty Mobile from the in-game menu. Even after selecting the highest-possible ‘Ultra’ frame rate within the game, Call of Duty Mobile maxed out at 60fps until we used the ‘Frame Plus’ tool.

Realme GT 7 Pro runs the Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 OS out of the box. Realme’s custom skin is nearly identical to Oppo’s ColorOS 15. This isn’t a bad thing as we like the vibrant UI and exhaustive customisation options that ColorOS brings to the table. However, if you’re looking for a fresh Android experience, you won’t find it here.

Realme does offer a decent selection of AI features on its most premium smartphone. Features like AI Speak and AI Summary can be accessed from the sidebar while you’re reading an article or an e-book. The pacing and tone fluctuation on the text-to-speech AI Speak tool is quite impressive. The AI Summary tool does a good job of recognising the key points in an article and forming a summary around them. Google’s Circle to Search tool is also present on this device.

Another AI feature that stood out to us on the GT 7 Pro was ‘AI Sketch to Image’. We’ve seen this feature before on Samsung’s Galaxy phones and tablets. While we’re not thoroughly impressed by sketch-based image generation yet, it is good to see that Realme can keep up with its peers. We fed the smartphone a couple of rough sketches and you can see the results for yourself down below.

The massive 5,800mAh battery pack on the GT 7 Pro lasts an entire day with a decent amount of charge to spare. On days with heavy usage, we were left with a 20-25% charge on the smartphone. With more conservative usage, we were able to push the battery life to 2 days. This is largely because there’s minimal battery drain when the phone is on stand-by. The GT 7 Pro supports 120W wired charging. Using the power adapter provided in the box, we were able to replenish its battery to 100% in just over 30 minutes.

Realme GT 7 Pro’s rear camera panel comprises three sensors – a 50MP Sony IMX 906 sensor for the primary shooter, an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor for the ultrawide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX 883 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

The 50MP primary shooter takes great pictures in outdoor daylight conditions. The images showcase a lot of detail and deep, rich colours. The sharpness of objects and shadows cast by them are captured with a good level of precision. The pictures pack a lot of contrast, which may not appeal to users who are looking for balance, but we enjoyed this aspect of the photography experience. In limited lighting conditions, this camera does a phenomenal job of brightening the subject and eliminating the noise from the images.

The 8MP ultrawide camera does a good job of matching the colour profile of the primary shooter. Comparing the results side by side, the colour shift in the images was very hard to tell. The images pack a good level of detail, but the softness becomes apparent when you pixel peep. The image-softness becomes more apparent in limited lighting conditions.

The 3x periscope telephoto lens takes good images with rich colours. We found the best use for this lens while taking close-up portraits. In this regard, the telephoto lens performed better than the primary shooter. Portraits taken at 1x zoom were a hit or miss, given how sometimes the smartphone had a hard time focusing on the subject. Meanwhile, at 3x zoom, the smartphone delivered stunning portraits with superb colours and a lot of background blur.

Selfies taken with the 16MP front-facing camera are good, but nothing out of the world. The sensor captures the important details and does not mess with the skin tone or texture. However, the biggest drawback of the selfie camera is that it cannot record 4K footage. This is something that we did not expect from a smartphone in this price range. Meanwhile, the primary shooter can record 8K videos at 24fps. The 3x telephoto lens can shoot in 4K at 30 and 60fps.

Verdict

After using the Realme GT 7 Pro for a week, we were thoroughly impressed by its versatility. The smartphone checks a lot of boxes for us. Its tasteful design, high-end hardware, big battery, and powerful chipset make it a very strong contender in its price category. The ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is a fine addition to the beautiful AMOLED display. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powers the smartphone through a wide range of tasks, be it gaming or photo-editing.

This chipset also plays its part in increasing the battery efficiency of the device. If you’re more moderate with your usage, you can get 2 day’s worth of battery life on this smartphone. Of course, the relatively affordable price tag of Rs 60,000 comes with a couple of tradeoffs. The GT 7 Pro is missing features like wireless charging and 4K recording from the selfie camera. If you can look past these shortcomings, the Realme GT 7 Pro is an excellent purchase.
