Apple rolls out iOS 12.3 for iPhones, iPads, watchOS 5.2.1  for Apple Watches and macOS 10.14.5  for MacBooks

New updates for Apple products.

Before the release of the iOS 13, the Cupertino-based tech giant has announced a new set of updates for its platforms. The new updates come for iOS (iPhones and iPads), tvOS (streaming services), watchOS (apple watches) and macOS (macbooks and Apple PCs). For iPhones, the iOS has been updated to iOS 12.3 while the tvOS has been updated to tvOS 12.3.

The changelog of the new iOS 12.3 states that it will bring the support for AirPlay 2-enabled TVs along with one-tap playback for movies and TV shows, a redesigned Apple TV app and additional bug fixes and improvements for the Apple Music, CarPlay and Apple TV Remote app along with Wi-Fi calling. The new iOS 12.3 also updates and fixes some of the security issues of the earlier version of the iOS. The update is available for Apple iPhone 5S and later models.

To update to the new iOS 12.3, the users need to go to the Settings and then to General. Then they need to tap on the Software Update to download the update. But it is recommended that the battery should be more than 50% before updating the iPhones.

As for the tvOS 12.3, users who have the third generation of Apple TV need to go to Settings to update their TVs. Once there, they need to select General and then to Software Updates. From here, they should head to Update Software and then to Download and Install. Users of Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD need to go to the Settings, and then to System to update their devices. Once there, they need to tap on the Software update and then select on Update Software. After this, they would need to choose the Download and Install. But it should be noted that the streaming device shouldn’t be disconnected until the update is completed.

The Apple Watch has received the watchOS 5.2.1 update and it is currently rolling out with ECG feature and irregular heart-beat notifications. To update the Apple Watches, the users would need to go to General and then select Software Update. Similar to the iPhones, the Apple Watches should have more than 50% battery before they update their devices to the newest update, but it is recommended that the Watches should be kept on the charging dock while they are being updated. Other than that, the users would need to keep their iPhones close to the Apple Watch (should be connected to Wi-Fi).

Apple MacBooks have also received the new update – macOS v 10.14.5 and it is rolling out right now. The new update brings AirPlay 2 support along with increased audio latency on MacBook Pro. Other than that, many of the previous issues have been fixed in the new update along with inclusion of several security updates.

To update the MacBooks, the users need to go to the Mac App store and click on the Featured section. Once there, they need to look for the latest macOS update and click on Download. Once downloaded it can be installed by the user on their Mac devices.
