With Drive, Google has added a “search chips” feature. This functionality will allow users to filter content across the entire web app by criteria including file type, owner, and last edited date. According to the company, this feature will let users to more quickly refine their search and locate pertinent files across all Drive views.
For those who are unaware the “search chips” feature was formerly accessible in Google Drive search, however, this function is now accessible “across Drive.” This is similar to the functionality available in Gmail. So now onwards users don’t have to do multiple or repeated searches or filter through unnecessary results since Google Drive’s search chips make it simpler for them to identify relevant files more quickly.
