Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is a popular battle royale game that is developed by Krafton. BGMI is the Indian version of the popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile. BGMI was launched in India after the Indian Government’s decision of banning PUBG over security and data concerns. Krafton has specifically tailored Battleground Mobile India to the Indian market. What is Battleground Mobile India Series 2023?
On July 20th, 2023 Krafton announced the first-ever BGMI tournament known as Battleground Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 with a LAN event finale. BGIS is seen as the biggest royale Esports tournament in India. Thousands of teams will be competing against each other for prize money of Rs 2 crores. BGIS 2023 commenced on July 20, 2023, and its finals will be played on October 14, 2023.

Apart from participants, BGIS 2023 will be an amazing event for fans as well. Its grand finals will be broadcasted in over 10 languages which include English, Hindi and over 8 regional languages making sure the excitement reaches every corner. The tournament is divided into two phases: Online qualifiers and offline Grand Final. The offline grand finals will be held between October 12, 2023, to October 14, 2023, on the ground.

BGMI 2023 commenced on 20 July 2023 with The Grind. 256 invited teams are competing against one another to be in the Top 64 and will then go to Round 2 and Round 3 of the tournament. The Grind is being broadcasted on Krafton India Esports Youtube channel from July 20, 2023, at 12 pm. Registration for the tournament starts on July 24, 2023, and will end on August 2, 2023.
The registration website will go live on July 24, 2023, and participants are requested to make sure that they are entering the correct details to avoid any elimination in the verification process. A total of 2048 teams will be qualifying for Round 1, who will then play in a group of 16 from Round 1 to Round 6 with qualifying teams proceeding to the next round.
