As suggested by reports a few days back, OnePlus has launched a new colour variant of its flagship OnePlus 6T. And it’s none other than Thunder Purple colour that was reported about earlier.
However, as of now, the new colour variant of OnePlus 6T is only available in China. If you can’t wait to but the newly launched OnePlus 6T device, then you must settle for Midnight Black and Mirror Black colour options that the smartphone was initially launched in.
It is worth noticing that the gradient Thunder Purple colour variant of OnePlus 6T would only be available in 8GB RAM/128GB storage option. If one goes by Google Translate, the option listed on OnePlus’ China website is ‘Electro-optic Violet’. It will be made available for sale in China on November 6 and is priced at CNY 3,599. As of now, there is no word on the new colour variant’s India availability or pricing.
Last month, OnePlus 6T’s Thunder Purple colour variant was spotted on the company’s support page and also got listed briefly on Amazon’s Germany website. Like its predecessor, OnePlus may also launch a Lava Red or a Silk White variant of the OnePlus 6T. However, as of now, there is no word about it.
To recall the specifications of the recently launched smartphone, OnePlus 6T comes with a 6.41-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display that has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and sport a waterdrop-shaped notch on top. OnePlus 6T mobile is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM options. The smartphone is available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants and does not support microSD cards.
The new offering by OnePlus runs Android 9.0 Pie skinned with the company’s own OxygenOS. For imaging duties, there is a dual rear camera setup that comes with a 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor and a 20MP Sony IMX376K sensor. The cameras come with a dual LED flash and has OIS and EIS.
If you love taking selfies, OnePlus 6T’s camera comes with a 16MP Sony IMX371 sensor. Although the cameras are same as OnePlus 6, there are new modes that have been added including Nightscape and Studio Lights. OnePlus 6T smartphone houses a 3,700mAh battery that supports fast charging (5V, 4A).

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo is all set to launch its A7 smartphone. A report has surfaced online which claims that the upcoming smartphone is all set to launch in China on November 13.
And just days ahead of Oppo A7’s launch, its renders and promotional images have been leaked, and looking at them, we can guess a number of things about Oppo’s next smartphone.
These renders were first spotted by AndroidPure and they reveal the basic design of the upcoming Oppo A7 smartphone.
Oppo A7 is available in Glaring Gold and Glaze Blue colour options and come with gold-coloured rims and frames.
When it comes to the design of the smartphone, it does look a lot like Oppo’s Realme 2 smartphone. However, there is one key difference: Oppo A7 has a water-drop shaped notch on the top of its display.
Coming to the specifications of the smartphone, a report in MySmartPrice claims that Oppo A7 will be powered by an octa-core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 processor that will be coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. Oppo A7 mobile will come in 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM options. While the base model will have 32GB internal storage, the 4GB RAM variant will come with 64GB onboard storage.
It is likely the Oppo A7 will sport a 6.2-inch 18:9 FullView 2.5D curved glass display that will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Oppo A7 will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box that will be skinned with Color OS 5.2.
For imaging duties, there will be a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP sensor that has LED flash and a 2MP depth sensor. Oppo A7 will reportedly sports a 16MP selfie camera and houses a 4,230mAh battery. We will have to wait for a few more days to know what the specifications and features of the device are and till then, we will keep you updated with all that we know.
We wouldn’t be wrong to assume that Oppo A7 is a rebranded version of the company’s Realme 2 smartphone that was launched in India sometime back. The smartphones not only look similar to each other, but they have a similar set of specifications too. Speaking of the differences of the two devices, they come in different colour options, and Oppo A7 sports a bigger selfie camera and has a waterdrop shaped notch.

While most companies are in a race to launch a smartphone that comes with 5G connectivity, Apple seems to be a little laid back about it. Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 3 will get a 5G upgrade in sometime, and the likes of Samsung, Huawei and OnePlus have promised to release their devices with 5G connectivity in 2019 too.
However, according to a report in Fast Company, Apple would be relying on Intel to supply 5G modems, however, they don’t seem to meet the technology giant’s requirements.
Apple’s partnership with Intel is now new. The companies have had a tie-up since 2015 now. And the recently launched iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR were the first smartphone line-up where the Cupertino-based technology giant used Intel modems exclusively for its smartphones.
The report in Fast Company further said that Apple will be launching an iPhone with 5GB connectivity in 2020 and the smartphone would have Intel’s 8161 5G modem chip. Till the said chip remains under development, Apple will be using Intel’s 8060 modem chip to test 5G compliance.
Currently, AT&T and Verizon provide 5G in the United States and their bandwidth allocation lies in the millimeter-wave spectrum. To work with them, Intel’s modems would have to provide high performance over long durations. According to Fast Company, the Intel modems generate ‘higher than normal’ levels of heat and because of this, the iPhone’ battery may not last long. Apple is said to have had talks with MediaTek, but then, it is highly unlikely that it will break its tie-up with Intel for launch a 5G-enabled iPhone sooner. MediaTek can possibly be a ‘Plan B’ for Apple right now.
It is worth noticing that Intel is not the only one working in 5G modems for smartphones. Chipmakers including Qualcomms and MediaTek are developing their own processors with support for 5G too. And the issues we spoke about earlier aren’t exclusive to iPhone’s battery. Even Android smartphone manufacturers that have used Qualcomm’s X50 chip have also faced heating issues with the millimeter wave 5G network.
Last month, it was announced by OnePlus and Huawei that both of them are working on their respective 5G enabled smartphones. Xiaomi will also be launching a 5G version of Mi Mix 3 and Samsung is said to be a part of 5G race too.

There is no denying the fact that India is an extremely important market for Apple. However, this year in India is not proving to be as good for Apple as the last few were. According to Counterpoint, iPhone sales are set to dip by around a quarter in Q4. And this puts Apple on the course of its first full year fall in four years.
The fact that Apple is struggling to break through with India’s 1.3 billion consumers came into better focus last week. According to Counterpoint, the Cupertino based technology giant has blamed big emerging markets for its disappointing set of sales forecasts.
After publishing its third quarter results, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that sales in India were flat in the fourth quarter. It is worth noticing that the fourth quarter in India is usually a great time for sales of technology companies, given that an entire month is dedicated to festive season sales.
According to Neil Shah, a research director at Counterpoint Research, that its channel checks point towards numbers in the range of 7,00,000 to 8,00,000 units in this quarter, while a year ago it was a million.
He further said that for the entire 2018, Apple would be sell around 2 million iPhones, which is a drop of around a million from last year. The reasons for this can be the that iPhones are not priced higher, and the cost further increases because of trade tariffs and the decline in the value of Rupee.
Shah also said, “Sales are set to drop for the first time in four years. If you look at Q3 – it was 900k last year and this (year) is almost 450k. iPhones have gone costlier and the features and specs aren’t that compelling. The install base of Android has grown vastly; the new customer base (for Apple) is not coming.”
But then, not all is lost. Speaking further on the matter, Shah added that more than half the smartphones that were sold this year were older iPhone models and because they too, are priced high, Apple should at least be able to maintain a flat revenue or attain a value that is slightly higher than last year.
CEO Tim Cook has addressed the problems that the company is facing in India as “speed bumps along a very long journey”. Most analysts agree that the prestige that is attached to Apple’s brand should let the company take back its lost ground.

Homegrown consumer electronics maker Micromax has launched two new 4K Ultra-HD smart televisions in India. The 49-inch and 55-inch screen variants of 4K Micromax Android TVs bear a price tag of Rs 51,000 and Rs 61,990 respectively and both the televisions will be available in Indi this month itself.
The televisions are promised to showcase an enhanced picture and sound quality and are being touted as Eco Energy efficient. With this, the company means that they would utilize less power without having any effect on their performance.
It is worth noticing that these televisions are the first ever by the company that are Google certified. According to Micromax, the two come with Google’s Play Store, games, movies, music and more. The Android televisions also come with Google Assistant, voice enabled search and have a built-in Chromecast.
The new offerings by Micromax come with high-dynamic range technology, which is said to result in crisper image quality.
Besides this, the new televisions also come with Pure Sound Technology that is certified by DOLBY and DTS. Micromax’s newly launched smart TV comes with two 12 watts speakers and are claimed to be Eco Energy efficient, meaning that they consume less power. They are powered by Cortex-A53 processor clubbed with 2.5GB RAM and 16GB flash storage. For connectivity options, there is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on board.
Micromax has said that its latest televisions run the latest Android version, however, it has not specified the operating system version.

It has been three months since Android 9.0 Pie’s stable update has been rolled out. And a number of technology companies have promised the update for their smartphones. However, in the latest numbers that were revealed by Google last month, Android Pie is not even visible on the distribution charts, meaning that it is currently available on less than 0.1% devices.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is hosting an event on November 6 where it is expected to launch the Redmi Note 6 Pro. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, which is the successor to Redmi Note 5 Pro has already been launched in certain markets like Thailand, where it is priced at 6,990 Baht.
After conversion, it becomes approximately Rs 15,600, which means that like its predecessor, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will also be launched in the budget segment of the Indian smartphone market.
The event scheduled for November 6 will be held in China at 2:00 PM and it is being said that the smartphone will be called Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 there. What further adds to this is the fact that Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched under the name of Redmi Note 5 in China.
It has also been reported that Xiaomi is planning to launch the smartphone in China before the 11/11 Singles Day shopping festival, which further hints that the company has plans of launching the Redmi Note 6 Pro on November 6.
Coming to the specifications, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro mobile features a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display with a pixel resolution of 1080×2280 and has an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone’s display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is available in 3GB and 4GB RAM. It seems to be the year of data breaches at Facebook. The social networking website is back in news once again because of an alleged data breach. And this time, your personal messages on the platform are said to be targeted.
According to a report in BBC, almost 81,000 users’ personal messages on Facebook are published and compromised on the internet. Furthermore, the hackers are looking to make money from it.
In fact, the hackers have said that they have personal data of over 120 million people who have their accounts on Facebook and they plan to sell it $0.10 per account. However, if Facebook is to be believed, the social networking giant claims that its service has not suffered any breach. It further went on to say that the data that the hackers have been obtained by malicious extensions.
But even if that was true, it doesn’t rule out the possibility of the hackers indeed having access to users’ personal data and messages.
The report further says that most of the accounts whose personal messages and data has been compromised are based in Ukraine and Russia. However, some from UK, the US and Brazil have also been compromised.
The advertisement listed by hackers online says that if one pays $0.10 per account, they can get a complete access to personal messages. As a sample 81,000 profiles have been listed for potential buyers. However, this advertisement has now been removed.
According to BBC, who posed as potential buyers, the hackers are not linked to the Russian state or to the Internet Research Agency.
However, according to Digital Shadows, hackers’ claim to having access to 120 million users’ data could be false as Facebook would have known about such a large breach. But it did confirm that the 81,000 profiles did contain personal messages. Five of the victims were even contacted to confirm if the posts were really theirs.
According to Facebook executive Guy Rosen, “We have contacted browser-makers to ensure that known malicious extensions are no longer available to download in their stores. We have also contacted law enforcement and have worked with local authorities to remove the website that displayed information from Facebook accounts.”
The social media giant maintains that this breach did not happen because of their fault.

Samsung fans have been looking forward to Galaxy S10 for quite some time now and as the date of the launch approaches, the rumours around the smartphone have been surfacing on the internet every other day. Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to launch at the MWC 2019 next year.
The latest in these leaks is a live image of the smartphone that has surfaced online. The image shows that Samsung Galaxy S10 will come with a hole on the top of its display to house the selfie camera and the sensors. And also, the bezels surrounding the display of the device will be consistently thin.
The live image of Samsung Galaxy S10 was posted by concept designer Ben Geskin on Twitter. It shows that the upcoming Android smartphone has a tall display that has a small cut-out at the top. Speaking of the bezels, they are of the same width on all the four sides including the smartphone’s chin. The image also shows the power, volume rocker and Bixby buttons.
The camera hole on the top does have the potential to be a hindrance for those who love watching videos on their smartphones. When we think about it, we wouldn’t find it pleasing to have a hole on one side of the video. It can be assumed that the leaked image is of that particular variant of S10 range which has been reported to come without curved sides. It is the same variant which, unlike the other two S10 models, will come without an in-display fingerprint sensor and instead would have it placed on its side edge.
Another report that had surfaced online a few days back said that Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus will feature curved OLED screens and will sport in-display fingerprint scanners. The smartphones are also said to come with a triple rear camera setup. Samsung is also said to have made some prototypes of its S10 smartphone without headphone jacks.
The three S10 models will reportedly launch with Samsung’s foldable smartphone, which is likely to be showcased first at Samsung’s developer conference that is scheduled for this month.

OnePlus finally took wraps off its latest flagship smartphone, OnePlus 6T. The smartphone’s global launch was held on October 29 in New York City, and it was launched in India a day later on 30th October. The newly launched OnePlus 6T has gone on sale in India and can be be bought from the company’s official website, Amazon India, Croma Outlets, OnePlus pop-up stores and Reliance Digital Stores. The price of the smartphone starts at Rs 37,999 in India.
Apple refreshed its iPad Pro, MacBook Air and Mac mini lineup
Apple has refreshed its lineup of iPad Pros, Mac mini and MacBook Air. The new iPads by Apple are available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen variants, sport thinner bezels, come with Face ID and are powered by A12X Bionic chipset. They are compatible with the upgraded Apple Pencil. The price of the new iPad Pros starts at $800. Speaing of the MacBook Air, it features 13.3-ich Retina display, comes with Touch ID, has support for Siri and is powered by the 8th generation dual-core Intel Core i5. The price of the new MacBook Air starts at $1,199. Coming to the Mac Mini, Apple upgraded it after 4 long years and its graphic configurations are supposed to be 60% more powerful than its predecessor. The price of the new Mac mini starts at $799.
Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL went on sale in India
Google’s latest smartphone lineup is now up for grabs in India. If you are an interested buyers, you can head to Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Airtel Stores, Croma and other select offline stores to get the smartphones. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come in 64GB and 128GB storage models and are available in Clearly White, Just Black and Not Pink colour options. Lenovo Z5 Pro with a camera slider got launched in China
Smartphone manufacturer Lenevo launched its notch-less Z5 Pro smartphone in China this week. The Lenovo Z5 Pro smartphone comes with a screen to body ratio of 95.06%, has a camera slider and sports an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone comes with four cameras in total out of which two are on the back panel are two are housed in the camera slider. It has a 3,350mAh battery and as of now, there is no word on Lenovo Z5 Pro’s India pricing or availability.

In all the three plans, even after the daliy high speed limit is over, the data continues at 64kbps, according to Reliance Jio. Last month saw the launch of the world’s first smartphone that comes with four rear cameras, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). And this week, the smartphone was spotted on the company’s official website in India.
Although as of now, there is no official word on when the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be launched in India, a report that surfaced online claims that the smartphone’s launch event will be held on November 4.
And now a new leak has come in, according to which, Samsung’s website code may have revealed the smartphone’s price in India.
According to a report in 91mobiles, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be priced at Rs 39,000. At this price, the smartphone will compete directly with the recently launched OnePlus 6T smartphone. OnePlus 6T’s base model, that comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, is priced at Rs 37,999 in India.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) bears a price tag of 599 EUR in Europe. After converting, this becomes around Rs 49,740, based on the current exchange rate. However, with savings from local manufacturing, Samsung may be able to deliver the smartphone at Rs 39,000.
To recall the specifications of the smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. There is only one 128GB storage option and the smartphone can hold microSD card slots of up to 512GB.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) runs Android Oreo out of the box and houses a 3,800mAh battery that supports fast charging.
Speaking about the cameras of the mobile, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is the first ever to come with a quadruple rear camera setup. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) sports 24MP+10MP+8MP+5MP sensors. While the first one is the main primary camera, the second one is a telephoto lens, the third is an ultra-wide sensor and the fourth one is a depth sensor. If you still haven’t gotten over flip phones, we have some news for you. Samsung is all set to unveil a flip phone in China on November 9. The South Korean technology giant has sent out invites for an event that will be held in Wuxi, which is a city near Shanghai. The company will be launching its SM-W2019, which will be the successor of W2018 that got launched in December last year.
Samsung’s W2018 flip phone came with two 4.2-inch AMOLED displays and was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB RAM.
According to a recent report, Samsung’s W2019 will be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor and it is being said that it is codenamed as ‘Lykan’.
Tipster Zyad Atef has shared an invite which confirms that on November 9, Samsung will be launching the W2019 flip phone in China. To recall the specifications of the upcoming flip phone’s predecessor, Samsung W2018 sports two 4.2-inch full-HD AMOLED display and as we mentioned earlier, it is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor. The phone has 6GB of RAM and comes in 6GB and 256GB storage options. For more storage users can install a microSD card and the phone features a 12MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It houses a 2,300mAh battery.
According to SamMobile, Samsung W2019 will also come with high-end specifications. It is being said that the W2019, like its predecessor, will feature full-HD AMOLED displays and will be powered by the latest processor by Qualcomm – Snapdragon 845. The report further said that the camera app of the flip phone will have AI backed features like Scene Optimiser. Although initially Samsung W2019 will run Android 8.1 Oreo, it is likely to get an Android Pie update.
As we mentioned earlier, the phone is said to be internally known as ‘Lykan’.
Samsung has been launching its flip phones on China for two years now. The company launched the first flip phone in November 2016 and it was powered by Snapdragon 820 processor. And last year, it launched the W2018 we just spoke about, which ran on Snapdragon 835 processor. Considering this, it is extremely likely that the upcoming W2019 flip phone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 Soc. But we will have to wait for a few more days to find out for ourselves.

Honor Magic 2 features a 6.4-inch OLED Full HD+ display that has an aspect ratio of 19:9 and comes with a curved 2.5 glass on top. The smartphone is powered by the latest chipset by HiSilicon and comes in two RAM and three storage options we mentioned earlier. However, there is no slot for microSD cards.
Now let’s talk about the cameras of Honor Magic 2 smartphone. The triple rear camera setup comes with a 16MP sensor, a 24MP Monochrome sensor, and a 16MP ultra wide-angle sensor. It is worth noticing that unlike Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 Pro, there is no telephoto lens in Honor Magic 2.
Coming to the selfie cameras, there is a 16MP selfie sensor coupled with two 2MP depth sensors. The Android smartphone also has an IR scanner for 3D Face Unlock through a depth-sensing bionic lens.

Xiaomi POCO F1, which is also known as Xiaomi Pocophone F1 in international markets, is definitely among the best value for money devices that we have seen this year. The smartphone from Xiaomi has been seeing a MIUI 10 Global Beta builds since September this year and the latest one was rolled out this earlier this week. The company had also announced this week that POCO F1 will be getting Android Pie and Android Q updates.
And now, Xiaomi has starting rolling out its final version. POCO F1 was till now on MIUI 9.6 and after this update will move to MIUI 10 that comes with an upgraded user interface.
However, it is worth noticing that this update is based on Android Oreo and Xiaomi says that it is still testing it with Android 9.0 Pie in a closed group.
The MIUI 10 update for Xiaomi POCO F1 comes with the October security patch and is 592MB in size. According to Xiaomi, the update gets a ‘natural sound system’ and ‘all-new full-screen gestures’ to the smartphone. The full screen gestures the company has spoken about will remove the need of having software navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen. Users will also be able to make YouTube videos fill the entire screen including the space around the smartphone’s notch with the pinch-to-zoom gesture. Apart from this, Xiaomi POCO F1 will get a redesigned notification panel, enhanced multi-tasking capabilities, and revamped sliders to adjust the volume.
To recall, Xiaomi POCO F1 features a 6.18-inch display and comes with protection of 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor that is paired with LiquidCool Technology, the smartphone comes with in 6GB and 8GB RAM options. The smartphone comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options.
For imaging duties, there is a dual rear camera setup that comes with a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with 1.4-micron pixel, dual pixel autofocus and a 5MP depth sensor from Samsung. There is also a 20MP camera that comes with HDR and AI Beautify features and supports Face Unlock.
The smartphone houses a 4,000mAh battery which has support for 18W charging. For connectivity, Xiaomi POCO F1 offers 4G+, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack.

Reason to buy: Has a bigger display
The 6.41-inch Full Optic AMOLED display of OnePlus 6T is definitely one among reasons to buy it. It comes with a waterdrop shaped notch that houses the selfie camera and gives the user more screen space than they had in OnePlus 6. The aspect ratio of the display is 19.5:9 and it comes with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
Reason to not buy: In-display fingerprint sensor
In-display fingerprint sensors may be the current trend in the smartphone industry, but we feel that they cannot match up to a physical fingerprint sensor in terms of performance. A physical fingerprint sensor unlocks the device much more quickly and are more accurate too. Maybe going forward, we will see better results from in-display fingerprint sensors when this technology will be more developed. Other smartphones which have this technology include Vivo Nex, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and Lenovo Z5 Pro.
Reason to buy: Is powered by the most powerful processor in the world
OnePlus 6T used the same processor as OnePlus 6 – Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. But it is the processor that is present on most Android flagships this year and is easily the best one in the market right now. To put it simply, it means that the smartphone’s performance will remain top-notch. However, it is worth noticing that there are cheaper smartphones like Xiaomi POCO F1 that come with the same processor too.
Reason to not buy: Has the same camera sensors as OnePlus 6
It is disappointing to see that OnePlus 6T has exactly the same cameras as OnePlus 6. It comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor which comes with an f/1.7 aperture and 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K sensor that has an f/1.7 aperture. Even the selfie camera remains the same at 16MP Sony IMX371 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. However, the company has added some new modes to the cameras like Night Scape and Studio Lighting.
Reason to buy: Comes with more storage
Although the RAM options of OnePlus 6T are the same as OnePlus 6 – 6GB and 8GB – the storage in the base model has changed. The base model now comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage rather than 64GB that we saw in OnePlus 6. The other two storage options are clubbed with 8GB RAM. One, of course, is 128GB and the other is 256GB.
Reason to not buy: Lacks a microSD card slot
Even though the storage of OnePlus 6T has gone up, you still cannot install a microSD card on the device. While it may not be a problem for all, since 128GB and 256GB is a lot of storage, but there may be those who would want to install the microSD card.
Reason to buy: Has a bigger battery
This is probably one among the biggest reasons to buy the new smartphone. While OnePlus 6 housed a 3,300mAh battery, the newly launched OnePlus 6T has a 3,700mAh battery that supports fast charge (5V 4A).
Reason to not buy: No wireless charging
OnePlus 6T does not support wireless charging. It is a feature we were hoping to see even when OnePlus 6 was launched and we really hope OnePlus 7 comes with it.
Reason to buy: Runs the latest Android operating system out of the box
OnePlus 6T runs Oxygen OS based on Android 9.0 Pie – which is the latest version of Android operating system available. However, this came as no surprise as its predecessor, OnePlus 6, also recently got the update to Android Pie.
Reason to not buy: It is not dust or water resistant
OnePlus 6T comes without an IP rating, which means that it is not dust-proof or water-proof. We really expected this upgrade in the smartphone, as there are cheaper water-proof smartphones available.
One feature we are neutral about: Lack of 3.5mm headphone jack
Earlier when OnePlus 6T announced that it is removing the 3.5mm headphone jack and will be replacing it with a Type C port instead, we were a little apprehensive because not everyone likes using wireless earphones or headphones. And for those who don’t own a pair would have actually had to buy new ones. But luckily, OnePlus is offering a USB Type C to 3.5mm adapter in the box, so one can easily connect their wired earphones and listen to music on their device. So that really solves the problem that could have arised.

Google’s latest flagship smartphones, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, have gone on sale in India today. You can buy the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL from Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Airtel Stores, Croma and other select offline stores.
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are available at a starting price of Rs 71,000 and Rs 83,000 respectively. The high-end variants of both the devices, which come with 128GB storage, cost Rs 80,000 and Rs 92,000 respectively. The base model has 64GB storage. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL comes in Clearly White, Just Black and Not Pink colour options. The two smartphones were launched at Google’s annual hardware event on October 9 and went on pre-orders in India on October 11.
As a part of the launch offer, Flipkart is offering a 50% buyback value on both the devices. Furthermore, an exchange of up to Rs 17,900 is also available. Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders will get a discount of 10% and HDFC Bank credit and debit card holders will get a 5% cashback on EMI transactions. No cost EMI is also available.
If you are an existing Pixel or Nexus owner, you can exchange your smartphone for the new flagships. The company is also giving the Google Home Mini as a part of the exchange offer.
Coming to the specifications of the smartphones, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come with a dual front camera setup with 8MP+8MP sensors. Although dual rear cameras have become the new norm, Google’s sport a 12.2MP primary camera. Google’s devices have always been known for their exceptional cameras. And this time too, the company has added the op Shot, Group Selfie and Night Sight features to cater to those who love smartphone photography.
The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 4GB RAM and the smartphones run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The smartphones come with Andreno 630 GPU.
The two differ only in terms of display and battery. While Google Pixel 3 mobile features a 5.5-inch FHD+ display, Pixel 3 XL sports a 6.3 QHD+ display. Google Pixel 3’s screen has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and that of Pixel 3 XL comes with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. In terms of battery, Pixel 3 houses a 2,195mAh battery and the bigger sibling packs a 3,430mAh battery.

If you are planning to buy one among the three 2018 iPhones, then we have some good news for you. Apple has announced a partnership with Citibank and will be offering a cashback of 10% on the MRP of iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR to those who will pay for their purchase with a Citibank credit card. It is worth noticing that you would be valid to get a cashback if you use a Citi Corporate card to make the payment.
The 10% cashback can only be availed till November 7, and no upper absolute limit on the cashback has been announced by either Apple or Citibank.
However, this offer is not available online and is only valid if you shop at select retail stores. The company further said that the 10% cashback is valid on both EMI and non-EMI transactions. But there is an exception to that. If you buy an iPhone along with AirPods, go for a non-EMI transaction if you want to get the cashback.

However, you cannot club the iPhones with AirPods if you are taking the EMI scheme. On EMI transactions of 12 months and 24 months for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, a rate of 13% per annum is valid. Offers on EMI transactions are only valid till the stocks last.
If you intend to treat yourself with a new iPhone by availing this offer, you should know that the cashback will be credited to you within 90 business days from the day the transaction is made.
There are other terms and conditions that have been listed by Citibank. For instance, you can only make one transaction per card. The second purchase will not be valid for the cashback.
