Ethan Hunt is back with the sixth movie of the Mission Impossible series and he continues to do what he has been doing since 1996 ‘figuring things right’ and while putting his life in a lot of danger and manoeuvring his way often without a plan. Most early reviewers are touting Mission Impossible Fallout to be possibly the best of the six Mission films, with director Christopher McQuarrie upping his ante significantly from the last instalment. After watching this if you are craving for more sci-fiction movies to add to your “to watch list”, here are some interesting movies of the genre that will be releasing in the later part of the year.
Google Home can now schedule routines: Report
Earlier this year at Google I/O, the technology company announced that its Assistant will be getting a feature for multi-step routines. For those who don’t know, the feature allows the Assistant perform multiple tasks given to it in one single command.
At the same time, Google also announced that it had plans of adding the ability to schedule routines too ‘later this summer.’ This feature was something that was being looked forward to by a number of people because – as the name of the feature suggests — it meant scheduling routines repeating the same set of instructions every day.
And now, according to a report in Droid Life, the feature may be getting rolled out already. Some of the users of Google Home app can see this feature on their app. New routines can be added by going to the Settings section of the Google Home app, tapping on Routines and then the ‘+’ icon. Furthermore, there is also an option called ‘Set a time and day (optional).’
However, as of now, the feature is only being rolled out to the smart speaker users in US, according to a report in Engadget. The technology giant has not spoken about the availability of the feature in India.
Needless to say, but this feature has the potential of being extremely useful. One can set their Morning Routine on Google Home, which will then remind them of tasks like charging their smartphone and will also adjust lights every day without being reminded.
The routines can be scheduled on the Google Home app and a device must be added to them in order to execute these routines. The connected device will then perform the routine and give an audio acknowledgement once it has been completed. Additionally, users will also get a notification confirming the completion of a routine on their phones.

Till now, we have spent almost 48 hours with the Vivo Nex smartphone, and we have already found five reasons why it’s totally worth the money:
In This Article
Futuristic design
Futuristic is actually the first word that came to our mind when we first saw the Vivo Nex. The extra-large 6.59-inch AMOLED display is notch-less and we love it for being so. The display is not only notch-less, but it has bezels that are as thin as possible. The screen also has an in-display fingerprint sensor that proved to be speedy in our limited time with the smartphone. On flipping over, you see the glass back panel of the smartphone getting curved towards the edges that are made of metal. The back panel also has a holographic pattern which makes the phone look even more beautiful. All of this, coupled with the pop-up selfie camera surely makes the smartphone a stunner in the true sense.Latest processor
Vivo Nex smartphone runs the latest Qualcomm snapdragon 845 processor. Coupled with this is a massive 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. In simpler words, one can’t expect any predictable performance woes from the Vivo Nex smartphone. In terms of the software, the smartphone is powered by Android 8.1 Oreo skinned with the Funtouch OS.A massive 4,000mAh battery
Vivo’s flagship of the year also scores high as far as its battery goes. The smartphone houses a 4000mAh battery that proved to be lasting in our limited time with the smartphone. However, we can’t conclude about this aspect till we fully review the device. So stay tuned for our complete review and find out.Artificial intelligence features
Speaking of AI features, Vivo Nex comes with the company’s own Jovi assistant. However, as of now it only works in Mandarin so we will have to wait till we get to use it. The smartphone also comes with a dedicated button to activate the Google Lens or Assistant. So even if you have switched to gesture navigation, you can use the Google’s AI smart features. The first pop-up selfie camera
The elevating selfie camera something we were extremely excited about. Each time you press the camera button and put it on selfie mode, the front facing camera of the smartphone pops up to take your picture. The concept really sets the phone apart. But what makes it even better is the fact that it comes with a sound-effect that would remind you of a science fiction movie. Furthermore, this sound can actually be changed in the Settings section of your smartphone. Want to know if our selfies turned out to be good? Stay tuned for our review. 5 must-have gadgets for your living room
Living room is a place where the whole family comes together. We eat there, talk to the family and friends, watch television and take important family decisions. It is one of the most used rooms in the house cumulatively by all the family members. So, it is highly important for this room to be extremely comfortable and modern. Here is our choice of gadgets that will make your living experience in the family room a pleasurable one.
We have to start by saying this, you are getting a 50-inch 4K flat screen television under Rs 34,000. Not only that this TV has smart features and can be connected to the internet over Wi-Fi and LAN. Okay, now that, that is out of the way, this is a great TV for the price as the picture quality is really good. You get deep blacks and vivid colours. It runs Android OS for TVs and comes with apps such Netflix, Facebook and YouTube pre-installed. So it eliminates the need for any additional smart hub or PC requirement to browse those features. This thin tube supports miracast, oh and did we tell you that this large screen can be picked of under Rs 34,000.
Let’s face it we all love the ads that run on the television showcasing different things Amazon Echo variations can do using its AI Alexa. If you have seen those, then you already know what all can this this smart virtual assistant can do. For the unaware, the Amazon Echo Plus is a cylindrical speaker system which uses Amazon’s AI assistant called Alexa. She will answer all your queries with precision. She has an Indian accent and does understand our accent as well. You can ask her everything from how the weather is going to be like today, to play the latest Salman Khan song. It is great for family gatherings. It is like having another loud (sound-wise) family member in the living room.
The Indian heat especially in cities like Delhi, Chennai, Chandigarh etc. stings a lot. And when you have the whole family or a bunch of friends over in one room, you would want to keep the environment cool. For medium to large rooms a 1.5-ton AC is a must and this one by Samsung is all that, but while doing that it will not burn a hole in your pocket when you see the electricity bill. Instagram to get more secure with two factor authentication: Report
Popular photo-sharing app Instagram will soon be getting two-factor authentication that would work without the user’s phone number, according to a report in TechCrunch. Instagram has even confirmed that it is currently working towards being more secure after the Motherboard investigation on SIM hacking was published earlier this week.
Even though the confirmation was prompted by the investigation, it seems like Instagram has been working on the upcoming feature for a while now. Engineer and tipster Jane Manchun Wong tweeted a prototype version of the two-factor authentication feature of Instagram’s APK code for Android earlier this week.
Currently, if you get logged out of your Instagram account, you can log back in as far as you can confirm your identity via the phone number linked to your account. However, Motherboard’s article clearly states that hackers can gain illegal access to a user’s phone number and tie it to a new SIM card. It further says that they manage to do this by using traces of information like a social security number — that may have been leaked during a data breach — and getting the number reassigned to a new SIM by tricking a telecom customer service agent.
After this is done, the hackers can use the phone number for its recovery benefits to reset Amazon, Instagram, Twitter and other social media accounts. They can also use it to extort a victim for financial gain.
A number of tools have been made available by technology giants in order to protect people against the vulnerability of two-factor authentication. For example, Google’s Authenticator app randomly generated numeric codes and has a time limit. Social networking giant Facebook — that also owns Instagram — uses a similar feature on its own app. It’s only natural for Instagram to follow the suit, but it’s surely a change that is welcome.

World Emoji Day: Apple to add 70 new emoji to iOS12
Even the thought of having text conversations and tweets without emoji can sound extremely mundane. No wonder, technology companies like Apple and Google take even the placement of cheese on their burger emoji so seriously. Taking this attitude forward, Cupertino based technology giant Apple has announced 70 new emojis to iOS 12 on World Emoji Day.
The company has created over 70 new emoji designs based on characters that were approved in Unicode 11.0. These include emoji that better represent people with red hair, grey hair and curly hair and a new emoji for bald people.
New smiley faces with different expressions including a cold face, party face, pleading face and a face with hearts have also been added to the list of existing emoji.
Animal emoji aren’t getting left behind either. The list of emoji supported in iOS12 will soon include kangaroo, peacock, parrot and a lobster. For foodies, the technology giant is adding mango, lettuce, cupcake, moon cake among other popular items.
That’s not all. Apple has stated that it is also adding a new superhero emoji to its list along with a softball, nazar amulet and infinity symbol.
Users will be able to access these new emoji across devices that run iOS 12 including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. But don’t try looking for these on your devices right now, as Apple has said that the new emoji will only be available later this year in a free software update. So you’ll have to wait till you send out the part face or cold face emoji in your WhatsApp conversation.
Till then, you can use the thousands of emoji that are currently available on iOS, watchOS and macOS including the emotive smiley faces, gender neutral characters, various clothing options, food types and items, animals, mythical creatures and more.

COMIO will launch another 5.5-inch budget smartphone in July
The budget smartphone segment in India sees a launch almost every other day. Since rural India has just woken up to the smartphone culture and are upgrading themselves from the feature phones, makers are pushing their brand further and further so that they reach the Indian masses quickly. COMIO recently launched the C1 pro and COMIO Note X1 in India. These two reside in the budget segment.
Now the company is all set to launch yet another smartphone in the country, which will be available in the last week of July. If we go by industry insiders the COMIO smartphone will be priced under Rs 10,000 and is slated to feature a 5.5-inch full view touch display. The rear camera will be powered by a 13MP sensor and the phone will also feature face unlock capabilities. The rear camera will be accompanied with a LED flash, too.
This new smartphone by COMIO will run Android Oreo straight out of the box and, like OnePlus and Apple, will come in Red body colour. The volume rocker along with the power button will be located on the right side of the phone and it should also feature a fingerprint reader. The top part will have the 3.5mm audio jack as well.
Sources close to Gadget Bridge did say that at the time of the launch the smartphone will come with bundled offers and might carry extra warranty like there is on all COMIO smartphones. All in all, this smartphone does seem like a good offering to begin with, however it truly depends on the kind of CPU, RAM and Storage combo the company will provide. The last two launches did have the MediaTek chipsets, maybe the tie up with MediaTek will continue for this new launch as well. As said before we will come to know in the last week of July.
