HP has refreshed its Pavilion lineup with the launch of three new laptops in India. The company has introduced HP Pavilion 13, HP Pavilion 14, and HP Pavilion 15 Laptops in the country. All the models are capable of Microsoft High Dynamic Range (HDR) streaming, with High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) preinstalled on FHD panel options for a richer, more colorful viewing experience.The devices also come in four unique color combinations. Asus Republic of Gamers is all set to launch its next generation of ROG Phone in India in the upcoming month. The company has officially confirmed to launch Asus ROG Phone 5 on March 10. The global launch of the gaming smartphone would also see new accessories and gaming headsets that would come along with the device. The device will succeed Asus ROG Phone 3 which was introduced last year in July. The Asus ROG Phone 5 is all set to launch globally on March 10. Microsoft intends to release the Windows 10 21H1 update in the first half of the year with improvements and a new set of features. This update will be the eleventh installment since the original release and the first semi-annual update of 2021.
Windows 10 21H1 will be an optional update for devices that run 20H2 since Microsoft initially wants to limit the availability to check potential issues for partially compatible devices. What new features you can expect from the new Windows 10 21H1 update?
According to John Cable, Vice President of Program Management for Windows Servicing and Delivery, “Windows 10, version 21H1 will have a scoped set of features improving security, remote access, and quality. The features we are releasing in this update are focused on the core experiences that customers have told us they’re relying on most right now. So, we optimized this release to support our customers’ most pressing needs.”
Will this be a big or small update?
When Microsoft originally launched Windows 10, it used to release two significant updates every subsequent year offering new features. However, in recent years, the company has veered slightly away from this. Microsoft now releases a big update every six months. For instance, the May 2020 Update (20H1) was significant. It was succeeded by a smaller October 2020 Update (20H2). Microsoft seems to break the pattern. Instead of following up the minute 20H2 update with a bigger 21H1 update, Microsoft is rolling out a small update in the 2021 spring. Thus, we can expect a significant update with a lot of new features in late 2021.
How will this update be an improvement over its predecessors?
You can expect the new update to bring the following upgrades.
1) Although the new Windows 10 21H1 update will not change the way you use Windows 10, it will concentrate on some essential areas like quality, remote access, and security. For instance, when you use Windows Hello during biometric authentication, the latest multi-camera feature will enable you to fix another camera as the default while using integrated webcams.
2) This new update will solve the delay problem in Windows Defender Application Guard (WDAG) while opening the Microsoft Office.
3) You’ll be able to achieve faster file copying of above 400MB as the new update will solve the problem that leads to high usage of system memory when the WDAG container is empty.
How will this update be an improvement over its predecessors?
4) Windows 10 21H1 will also offer better support for remote work situations when using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC). Also, it will solve the slow membership propagation while editing a user or computer group in Active Directory (AD).
5) It will updates the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Device Management (DM) sync protocol by including a check-in object for requests from the client to the server. The check-in reason will enable the Mobile Device Management (MDM) service to make optimal decisions about sync sessions.

Last month Bharti Airtel announced that it will soon roll out a 5G network pan India in a matter of months. Also, it demonstrated LIVE 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city. Airtel did this over its existing liberalised spectrum in the 1,800 MHz bands through the NSA (Non-Stand Alone) network technology. In a new development the telecom company today announced its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies for accelerating 5G in India. Randeep Sekhon, CTO, Bharti Airtel said, “Airtel has been a pioneer of new technologies and our networks are fully ready for 5G. We are delighted to have Qualcomm Technologies as a key technology provider in our journey to roll-out world-class 5G in India. With Airtel’s integrated service portfolio and Qualcomm Technologies’ 5G leadership, we will be well placed to usher India into the next era of hyper-fast and ultra-low latency digital connectivity.” With the announcement of its partnership with the American Chipset company Qualcomm, Airtel aims to utilize the Qualcomm 5G RAN Platforms to roll-out virtualized and Open RAN-based 5G networks. The company as a board member of the O-RAN Alliance is also working with Qualcomm Technologies to explore and implement the O-RAN approach for India. According to the company, the flexible and scalable architecture of O-RAN will create new opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses to become viable players in the deployment of 5G networks. Additionally, their collaboration will also enable a wide array of use cases, including 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) that is designed to deliver broadband connectivity at Gigabit speeds to homes and businesses. Therefore this will help Airtel to allow the rollout of broadband services in a cost-effective and expeditious manner across India.Rajen Vagadia, Vice President, QUALCOMM India Private Limited and President, Qualcomm India said, “There is a compelling case to accelerate the roll-out of 5G networks in India, as it will help fast-track the country’s socio-economic growth and development. We are pleased to be working with Airtel, and we are excited by the opportunity ahead. This collaboration is expected to play a critical role in Airtel’s plans to add 5G network coverage and capacity where and when it is needed the most.”Airtel 5G solutions together with Qualcomm 5G Fixed Wireless Access Platform support to be able to provide multi-gigabit internet speeds wirelessly to customers. As per the telecom operator for the customers the ultra-fast and low latency of 5G will unlock a digital world of limitless possibilities – gigabit size file downloads in seconds and 4K video streaming on the go across smartphones and computing devices, Immersive Technologies such as Virtual Reality and SMART Homes with connected things. Also, the FWA Platform will virtually support a combination of 5G spectrum bands and modes, from extended-range high power sub-6 to extended-range mmWave. The Airtel 5G solutions including FWA services will deliver cutting-edge technology for virtualized, flexible and interoperable 5G infrastructure. The company explains that its network vendors and device partners will utilize the capabilities of these platforms for accelerating the development of 5G applications for Industry 4.0 use cases and for driving innovations for Airtel’s global operations.
