Google I/O 2022 to kick off today: Pixel 6a, Pixel Watch and Pixel Buds Pro are likely to be announced today

Google I/O 2022 begins today. The Google I/O will be held virtually beginning today, May 11 and will run through May 12. Last year’s Coronavirus epidemic led the internet behemoth to go virtual by staging an online-only gathering. The key announcements are expected to be made during the tech event by the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai and his core team. During I/O 2021, Google will announce new products as well as software upgrades for its applications, Android and Wear OS. This year’s event will also be totally virtual and free to attend, allowing anybody to participate in its version of the developer’s conference. The event will be live-streamed from Google’s Shoreline Amphitheatre — the traditional setting for the I/O conference — and will have a “restricted live audience” that may include Google workers and select partners. The keynote will begin at 1 pm ET (10:30 pm IST) today, and Google I/O 2022 will be a two-day event and Google will broadcast the conference live to a global audience. The event will be live-streamed on Google’s social media channels, including the main keynote. Developers who would like to virtually attend particular sessions or the developer-focused keynote alongside the usual keynote must register on the Google I/O site.

What to expect?

Google I/O 2022 will focus on the company’s latest developments in operating systems such as Android and Wear OS. As per the speculations, hardware-related announcements may be made at the event. According to previous reports, Pixel 6 models will likely get an Apple-like spatial audio feature as well as two carrier connections on a single eSIM. On the other hand, Google is likely to share developments related to Android 13 and Wear OS. To recall, last year Google announced a partnership with Samsung to integrate Tizen into Wear OS. Moreover, the company is also expected to announce the Pixel 6a as its new affordable smartphone at this year’s I/O keynote. The upcoming device is likely to equip Google’s Tensor chip. Rumour mills also suggest the Pixel Watch will be unveiled at the Google I/O 2022 keynote. The wearable is expected to have a circular design and run the most recent version of Wear OS. It may also include a Fitbit integration for improved fitness tracking. At this year’s I/O keynote, Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Buds Pro too. The search giant’s upcoming TWS earbuds are said to come in Carbon, Fog, Limoncello, and Real Red colours. Apart from this, Google’s search results might also receive some changes that will be revealed today at Google’s keynote. The search results will take advantage of the company’s AI and machine learning advancements. How to Surf the Internet Safely?

When it comes to surfing the internet we all want to be as safe as can be. There are lots of places out there filled with cybercriminals looking to collect your information to use against you or gain money from your accounts. Safe online payments are essential when using the internet, and here are some key tips to help you surf the web with the most security available.

Be Careful with Your Downloads

One of the main objectives of cybercriminals is getting you to download malware. Malware is a program or app that carries software that steals sensitive information. Malware can be disguised in many different ways. From popular games to weather checkers, to everything else in between. If apps look suspicious it is probably for good reason, so try to avoid them as best you can.

Be Careful if you Meet people Online

People you meet online are not always who they claim to be. They may not even be real people. Fake social media profiles are one of the most popular ways catfishers hack unwary internet users. As you would in your personal life, but just as safe and secure with who you let enter your online social life.

Keep your Privacy Settings Active

Marketers are always looking to find information about you from cookies and other places on the web, and so do hackers. Your social media usage and browsing preferences will tell hackers a lot about you if you don’t take full charge of your information. Web browsers and mobile networks have privacy protection readily available for users. Websites such as Facebook include privacy-enhancing settings but aren’t enabled as a standard so they need to be activated by users. Settings like these are deliberately hard to find as a lot of larger companies want the information to create revenue from sponsored ads. Stay safe and take the time to search for these extra settings. Internet code surf safely

Use a Secure VPN

If you’re using the internet in a public setting you do not get the same direct control as you would from your connection at home. Endpoints are the worry for most cybersecurity experts as they differ between private and public connections. Using something like a VPN is a great way to keep all of your information protected when out in the world using a local network.

Be Careful with what you Post

It is important to know that the internet does not feature a delete setting. You may think you have removed something but there are people out there who can probably find it. Any comments on Instagram or Twitter will remain there forever as other users may have captured a screenshot and posted it as an entirely new thread. If you wouldn’t say something in front of your family or employer it is definitely a good idea to keep it away from the internet as it could come back to haunt you in years to come.

Use Strong Passwords

Passwords are one of the biggest weak spots when it comes to internet security. The main issue with passwords is that the majority of people have one password for all of their accounts. Some alterations are made from time to time with an added ‘123’ on the end of a word but for the most part, we see the same passwords spread across all sensitive areas of the internet. Having one password for all avenues makes life a lot easier for cybercriminals. If the password is deciphered then they have unlimited access to your bank, social media, PayPal, bills, subscriptions, and much more. A strong password should be used for each place that requires one. Choose something around 15 characters long with a mixture of letters and numbers, along with special characters too.

Limit Personal Information

Personal information should be limited on the internet. Potential employees or employers do need to know everything about you. Keep things as professional as possible with things like your working background and a form of contact. You wouldn’t hold your personal information for everyone to see out in the street so why would you do it on the internet where millions of people can access it. LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano wireless earphones review: Super “Clean” Audio

We checked out the first version of the LG Tone Free wireless earphone last year. Now is the turn of its elder sibling, LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano, which also comes with a UV cleaning mechanism in the case with some good upgrades. Do they really stand out from the crowd, let’s find out in the LG Tone Free FP9W review today.

LG Tone Free FP9W review: Design

Out of the box, you get the pearly white, compact charging case that also holds the twin LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano audio earplugs within. The built of the enclosure is solid. You get an LED indicator upfront and a USB Type-C charging port at the back. A slider button is placed on the left side that enables you to connect the case to any 3.5mm aux port to connect the LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano wireless earphones to them wirelessly, more on it in the performance section. LG-Tone-Free-FP9W-slider Flip the clamshell case open and you will find the twin earphones inside surrounded by a blue hue. Yes, the LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano wireless earphones also come with a UV cleaning mechanism that turns on as soon as you place the earphones back in the case. What it essentially does is cleans and disinfects the earphones of any bacteria or viruses using UV light. LG claims 99% of germs are killed using this tech. LG-Tone-Free-FP9W-UV The LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano wireless earphones are nicely built, and we found them to be quite premium. They come with a large audio driver inside a conch-like shell with a stem on each. These also have 3 MICs individually and support active noise cancellation. Each audio plug also has a sensor in it, which pauses the music as soon as any one of them is pulled out of the ear. Put them back in and you will see the music gets un-paused automatically. Read Also: COVID-19 crisis: 5 Gadgets to help you keep your home clean and Also, the LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano audio earplugs support tap functionality. Users can single tap and hold to turn ANC off/on. Double-tap on the right earphone to increase volume and if done on the other one it will decrease the volume. A single tap will pause the music.

LG Tone Free FP9W review: Performance

Coming to the most exciting part of the LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano audio earplugs, its performance. These audio buds have been tuned by Meridian, which is one of the best in the business. The sound is great and is improved over the previous model. The bass is deep, and the treble is top-notch. What you get is superior sound quality with crisp vocals. EQ options are also available in the LG Tone Free app that users can download from the iOS or Android app store for their respective phone models. With Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity we played quite a few songs on it. We even gamed with it, playing BGMI and the shot to sound latency is quite low. Gamers would love that. Also, these come with three medical-grade silicone tips, which fit well in any ear cavity. We did take them out for a run and not once did we feel that they are about to pop out. Over that, the LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano audio earplugs are IPX4 rated. This means sweat in this hot weather or light splashes in the rainy season will not ruin them. These also respond well to each tap. The result is almost instantaneous. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) works very well on most counts. With it turned on you do end up cutting out most of the loud external noise. But that does consume a little extra battery life. Talking about which, LG claims the LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano audio earplugs will give its users 10 hours of battery life. Well, we got about 8.5 hours’ worth of battery life, with ANC turned off. With ANC turned on, it went down by another 45 mins. Nevertheless, the bright part is that it can charge very quickly. In 5 min of charge, you can get 1 hour of playback time, which is brilliant. The supplied case will give users an additional 14 hours of battery life. Read Also: Samsung UV Sterilizer launched in India for Rs 3,599 The case of the LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano audio earplugs can be charged using the supplied USB Type-C to USB Type-A charging cable through any charger. With it, users also get a Type-C to 3.5mm aux cable, which will connect the case to any source that does not have BT wireless connectivity, making it wireless. Just flip the slider on the case to the wireless mode and connect it using the cable to say an entertainment system of your car or on an aeroplane and that instantly becomes wireless. Now, that is neat and forward-thinking. LG-Tone-Free-FP9W-ganesha-pack

Verdict

The LG Tone Free FP9W UV Nano audio earplugs do come with a hefty price of Rs 29,990. Which for some could be out of reach. So, is the price justified? To much extent, yes, it is. These audio earphones give you really good audio output in partnership with Meridian, have UV cleaning tech, superior wireless connectivity et al. The list of pros is too long. Moreover, the battery life is also lengthy when compared to others in the same price bracket. Also, with them, you get a free external Ganesha case to add a bit of zing to it. All in all, if you can afford it, buy it.

LG Tone Free FP9W Pros

Great sound Premium built Long playback time.

LG Tone Free FP9W Cons

Our verdict

In both smartphones, there is no discernible difference. They have almost identical designs. Even though the processors are the same, the iQoo Z6 Pro is available in more configurations than the Vivo T1 Pro 5G. Both handsets have a 90Hz panel and a fingerprint sensor on the display. Both the rear and front cameras are identical. Both smartphones have the same 4,700mAh battery and support 66W fast charging. Furthermore, because iQOO is a Vivo sub-brand, the pricing has been kept consistent so you probably wouldn’t feel like you’re using two separate phones. As a result, there is a tie.
