Twitter seems to be working on the Edit tweets feature, alleged images leaked

We knew Twitter was working on a feature to edit tweets, but the ability to edit tweets in the future has only recently been discovered. This feature is being worked on for a future Twitter app update. Twitter has officially announced that it is working on a feature that would allow users to edit their tweets. But a developer and leakster alex193a discovered that Twitter is already working on adding the ability to edit tweets on Twitter Web. According to his tweet, he has discovered some concrete evidence of the ability to edit tweets right within the tweet options: after tapping “Edit tweet,” the user can make changes by pressing “Update.” As per the screenshot, the Edit Tweet option could be seen beside the date of a tweet on the timeline or it could be added to the side menu of a tweet. The text could be clickable, leading you to the tweet’s ‘Edit History.’ There appears to be no way to read and edit history at the moment, but it may be added in the future. Besides that, the tipster claims that tweets will only be editable for up to an hour after they are initially posted. Apart from that Twitter has banned Advertisements to better serve these conversations, misleading advertisements on Twitter that contradict the scientific consensus on climate change are prohibited, in line with our inappropriate content policy. According to the microblogging site, misleading information about climate change can undermine efforts to protect the planet. “In the coming months, we’ll have more to share on our work to add reliable, authoritative context to the climate conversations happening on Twitter,” Twitter added. Last year, Twitter launched a dedicated Topic to help people find personalised climate change conversations. Pre-bunks — hubs of credible, authoritative information across a range of key themes, such as the science behind climate change, made available in the Explore tab, Search, and Trends — was also launched to support conversation around #COP26. Also, The ALT badge and exposed image descriptions features of Twitter were recently announced. Users can now add additional descriptions to their images, which will be displayed as an ALT badge when they are uploaded. These new descriptions can be accessed by clicking on the badges. These features were created to help users who have visual impairments, use technological aids, or just don’t have access to a high-bandwidth Internet connection.
