To recall, Nokia 7.1 sports a 5.84-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display and comes with PureDisplay screen technology. The smartphone is powered by 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 processor clubbed with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of onboard storage. Nokia 7.1 comes with 12MP+5MP dual rear cameras that come with Zeiss-branded lenses. It also has an 8MP selfie camera on its front panel. The smartphone houses a 3,060mAh battery and is ARCore certified.
It is worth noticing that all Nokia smartphones that we have seen getting launched recently are a part of Android One program, and we consider this to be a big plus for any smartphone. Being a part of Android One program, the smartphone receives timely security patches for three years from the date of launch, And regular Android updates for two years.
The company also plans to roll the latest Android version update to Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco. While Nokia 6 and Nokia 6.1 are scheduled to get an update this month, Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco users will have to wait till next month.
HMD Global has also said that it plans to roll out the Android 9 Pie updates to Nokia smartphones other than the ones it mentioned.
The company recently also launched the Nokia 3.1 Plus smartphone in India. Although Nokia 3.1 Plus (first impressions) runs with Android 8.1 Oreo, it also falls under Google’s Android One program, much like other Nokia smartphones.
So although it has not been announced, it is very likely that we will see the smartphone getting the Android 9.0 Pie update too. And it this turns out to be true, then Nokia 3.1 Plus will be one among the first budget smartphones in the country to get the Android Pie update.

A different complaint on Twitter says that the user ordered Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, but instead got a smartphone from Oppo.Order number: OD113600083449454000.
— srikanth (@srikanthboorle) October 16, 2018
I got a defective product. When I asked for replacement, your customer care executive is telling me that I can get only refund now. And asking me buy at higher price as discount sale is over. What a great idea by Flipkart.
To make things worse, it seems like Amazon isn’t far behind too. A Twitter user Amit Arora, claims that a small plastic fan was delivered to him, when actually he had placed an order for the 256GB storage variant of iPhone X. He further explained that he had raised the complaint multiple times, but Amazon India was not addressing it. Arora also said that he has approached Ministry of Consumer Affairs and Consumer Court regarding the same.@Flipkart ordered Mi note 5 pro only to receive some shit oppo phone of someone else inside the package. Plz get me my product and look into this

Amazon has replied to the user on Twitter urging him to send them his details via a link they provided. Another user on Twitter with the name of Prathamesh Bovlekar, said that Amazon’s delivery boy came with one item instead of two for which he had placed the order. However, he was demanding Bovlekar to pay for both the items. When Bovlekar did not agree to this, his order was rejected. A customer care executive then told him to place his order again, but now that the Great Indian Festival is over, the prices have risen again.Hello Amazon, my order no# 40802536259653178

I have ordered I phone X 256 GB, but received different product ( it was small plastic fan) inside the box. I have raised complaint many a times, but Amazon India is not ready to accept. I have CCTV footage.
Well, we can only hope that these customers do get the required support from the respective companies. While Amazon’s Great Indian Festival kicked off on October 10 and carried on till October 15, Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale started on October 10 and went on till October 14. This is when Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is getting launched
A number of speculations and rumours about the upcoming device have surfaced online since the last few weeks. It is expected that the smartphone will come with 5G capabilities because it sports a 5G+ logo on the status bar. Xiaomi’s President Lin Bin also teased a camera slider. But rather than the one we saw on Oppo Find X, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 mobile is likely to sport a camera slider similar to Honor Magic 2. Reports also suggest that Xiaomi Mi Mix 3’s camera slider could come with both front and rear cameras. This is because the company has teased a nearly bezel-less display that comes without a notch, much like Vivo Nex. Xiaomi has also teased on Weibo two features of the upcoming smartphone. In the picture shared by Xiaomi, two cards are place together and one says 5G, while the other says 10G. The same image has also been shared on Sung on his Twitter handle. The ‘5G’ obviously means that Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will come with 5G capabilities, and the 10G points towards the presence of 10GB RAM on the device. What makes us even more sure is the fact that Sung said in his tweet, “5G speeds, 10GB RAM, 8 days left.” If this turns out to be true, then Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be one among the first smartphones ever to arrive with that much memory. Two years ago, we launched the first generation Mi MIX.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will reportedly sport a Samsung QHD+ AMOLED display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The upcoming Android smartphone is expected to feature a 20MP selfie camera. In 2011, a memoir was published in which Allen revealed that he was the mind behind naming Microsoft and it was him who created the two-button mouse. According to the book, Allen was under-credited for the work he did at Microsoft and Bill Gates took more ownership of the technology giant than he deserved. Although the book initially did create some stir, two years later, Gates and Allen posed for a photo together and confirmed that they were still friends. After Allen left Microsoft, he became an investor through his company Vulcan and started putting his money in a number of companies. A lot of Allen’s work was focused in Seattle, where he became a big name because of his investments and donations. WhatsApp is updating its ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature
Basically, even if you delete the message within the time limit that has been given by the company, but the revoke request somehow doesn’t reach the recipient, your message will not be deleted. It is worth noticing the new additions work in the background and users don’t have to do anything extra to make sure the revoke request is sent. The new modification to the feature has been added to prevent manipulation. WABetaInfo’s Twitter handle further says that the feature has been added as ‘a protection against modded users that revoked messages sent weeks, months and years ago.’LIMITS UPDATED!
— WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) October 11, 2018
WhatsApp has updated the "Recipient limit".
What does it mean? If you delete a message for everyone, but the recipient won't receive the revoke request within 13h, 8m, 16s (maybe because the phone was off), the message will **not** be revoked.
..(1/2)
Don’t confuse the time limit of revoke request being sent to recipient with the time limit of being allowed to delete messages. A sent message can still be recalled for only up to 1 hour 8 minutes and 16 seconds, while the time limit for revoke request reaching the recipient is 13 hours, 8 minutes and 16 seconds. The update in WhatsApp’s Delete for Everyone feature is expected to come to the popular instant messaging app in a few days along with the stickers update. Just days before tweeting about the ‘Recipient limit’ update, WABetaInfo’s Twitter handle has revealed that stickers will be coming to WhatsApp in its Android 2.18.307 version. Two new Asus Zenfone smartphones set to launch in India on October 17
And although the company has not revealed which smartphones it will be launching in India, the invite does have a Flipkart logo made on it which implies that both the Asus Zenfone phones will be Flipkart exclusive. [td_smart_list_end] Nokia 3.1 Plus first impressions
We really liked the design of Nokia 3.1 Plus. The smartphone has a sturdy built and it feels solid to hold. And it was certainly refreshing to use a smartphone that has matte finish as it means no fingerprint smudges. The back panel of Nokia 3.1 Plus houses the dual rear cameras, LED flash and the fingerprint scanner. The volume rocker and power buttons are sandwiched on the right edge and the SIM card and microSD card slots are on the left edge. The top and bottom edges house the 3.5mm jack, USB port and speaker grilles.
Flip the phone over and you’ll see the 6-inch screen of the smartphone with Nokia branding, earpiece and selfie camera on top. Overall, we really liked the design of Nokia 3.1 Plus. It definitely is one among the better looking phones in the budget segment and its matte finish makes it stand out.
Nokia 3.1 Plus display
Nokia 3.1 Plus smartphone sports a 6-inch HD+ IPS display that has an aspect ratio of 18:9. One thing that we found to be a differentiator is the fact that Nokia 3.1 Plus does not sport a notch on its display, something that is not very common anymore. Coming back to the display, it showcased bright and vibrant colours and had good viewing angles. The colour reproduction is accurate and the images projected are sharp and clear. In our limited time with the phone, the only downside to the display that we observed was its sunlight readability. That certainly could have been better. But you’ll have to wait for our review till we give you our complete opinion on it.
Nokia 3.1 Plus cameras
Nokia 3.1 Plus sports dual rear cameras with a 13MP sensor that comes with an f2.0 aperture and a 5MP sensor that has an f2.4 aperture. The front panel of the smartphone houses an 8MP camera with f2.2 aperture. Bokeh feature is present on the dual rear cameras as well as on the selfie camera of Nokia 3.1 Plus. It is worth noticing that the dual rear cameras have the Live Bokeh mode, which basically enable the user to adjust the depth in Bokeh mode before he clicks a picture. However, the same cannot be done while clicking selfies. Time-lapse and slow motion videos can also be recorded using Nokia 3.1 Plus. We took a few shots using the smartphone and we were impressed by the colour reproduction and the details that the cameras captured. However, our opinion as of now is limited to shots taken in brightly lit areas. You would have to wait for our full review to know about the low-light shots. One aspect of the smartphone that truly disappointed us was the selfie camera. If you are selfie fan, you may not be too happy with the results you’ll get from Nokia 3.1 Plus’ front facing snapper. We tried to take a number of shots, but the selfies we took were just not up to the mark as compared to other smartphones in this price segment. But then, we will use it for a little longer before we jump to any conclusions about it.
What we think
In the limited time that we got with the Nokia 3.1 Plus, we loved its design and even found our experience with the display to be good. The cameras did leave us with mixed feelings, but as we said, it would be too soon for us to jump to any conclusion. The smartphone does have its own set of positive points and because it comes under the Android One program, it may be one among the first budget phones in the country to get an Android Pie update. Till now, Nokia 3.1 Plus seems to be a promising budget smartphone, but we will use it for a few more days and come back to talk about its performance and battery life.
