Confirmed: Samsung to soon fix camera blur issue on the Galaxy S23 and S23+

Earlier this year Samsung Galaxy S23 was launched in India and globally. Few months after the release the users have complained that the cameras blur when taking close-up photos. Samsung has now acknowledged the problem on its community page for Europe. A software upgrade will soon address this issue.

Samsung has also provided an explanation of the problem’s origin and a solution to stop the blurring via its Community page for Europe. While acknowledging the issue the company said that the close-up images from the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ appear a little hazy around the subject, which is said to be mainly because both the phones have a bright aperture, which helps when taking photos in the dark. However, this also means that more noticeable selective focus can make the background of your photos look a bit blurry.

According to Samsung, a software update will be rolled out to resolve the problem. In the meantime, if you are experiencing this on your Samsung Galaxy S23 or S23+, there are a few solutions you can try:

  • Try taking a picture from a bit further away; if the subject you are photographing is about 30 cm away, move back a hand’s width
  • Try to take a photo holding the phone vertically; if you hold the phone horizontally or diagonally, the background may appear blurred.

As per the South Korean giant, “If you use the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to take a close-up photo, the camera will automatically switch to the wide-angle camera and activate the focus booster to prevent blur. However, if you are using high-res mode, the focus enhancer is not supported, which may make the background of the close-up blurry.”

Recently Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 in Lime colour options. The device was first launched in three colour options of Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender. The phone in new colour options will come in two storage options – 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage– and will be priced at Rs 74999 and Rs 79999, respectively.

There is no change in the specification which includes a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform. The triple rear camera on the phone includes a 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with OIS & 3X optical zoom. Galaxy S23 features a 12MP front-facing camera with Super HDR technology.

Carbon Fiber Galaxy Watch Band: Durable, Comfortable, Fashionable

What band are you using for your Galaxy Watch 4 or Watch 5? Leather, fabric, silicone, steel or other metal? It’s got to be one of those materials. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. It really depends upon what you need the most to pick the best Galaxy Watch band. But assume that you all want it to be durable, comfortable and stylish.

Leather and fabric watch bands are not as durable as steel, but they are lighter. Steel is tough, but it could be very heavy and uncomfortable. Luckily, there are other options. Carbon fibre watch bands have everything you need.

Durable

PITAKA’s Galaxy Watch 4/5 band is made of 100% genuine carbon fibre, which has a similar look to steel. In fact, carbon fibre is several times stronger than steel. And surprisingly, its weight is about 1/4 of steel.

Carbon fibre has been widely used for applications such as cars or airlines due to its high strength, low density and excellent resistance to high temperatures and corrosion. So you can imagine how long the carbon fibre watch band can last. It won’t age or break.

PITAKA is the first and seems the only brand that makes Galaxy Watch 4/5 band using carbon fibre. You might see or hear about other carbon fibre watch bands which are not “real” carbon fibre or entirely made of carbon fibre.

Comfortable

The 178mm-long carbon fibre Galaxy Watch band weighs about 30g. The lightweight construction adds no bulk or pressure to your wrist even if you wear it all day. If you want to reduce the length, PITAKA has provided tools and a tutorial that’s easy to follow.

Every link has been polished and painted, so the band is pleasant to the touch, and it does not pull out the hair. On the other hand, carbon fibre is sweat resistant, which means it helps the skin breathe and sweat less.

Fashionable

The Galaxy Watch 4/5 looks modern and beautiful. And the unique carbon fibre band makes it look more stylish.

The carbon fibre band is crafted in a minimalist design with a sophisticated style. The black and grey fibre twill slightly shifts tone under different light conditions. The unique finish adds a noticeable charm that stands out in a crowded market.

Additionally, the carbon fibre band is easy to install/remove. The patented magnetic clasp and security lock allows you to keep your Galaxy Watch firmly in place with a snap. And you can take it down with a single click.
