Recently Poco announced that the Poco F4 5G smartphone worldwide and its Indian debut will take place very soon. Poco had previously stated that a smartphone in its F series would be released soon but had not disclosed the name. At the time, the company had only confirmed no information about its specifications, pricing, or availability was available. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset has already been confirmed by the company now the price information has also been leaked. An authorised Xiaomi retailer has released the global price of the POCO F4 5G. According to the poster, the POCO F4 will be available in a single form worldwide and will cost $459 translating to Rs 35,000. In India, it is expected to cost Rs 26,999, with bank discounts bringing the price down to Rs 23,999. If the rumoured pricing is correct, it will be the cheapest Snapdragon 870-powered phone on the market. The new Poco phone is expected to make its global premiere in India in the near future. Rumours claim it could simply be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40S. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 SoC will power the Poco F4 5G, the company said. The Redmi phone had the same Snapdragon 870 SoC as the Xiaomi phone, as well as a triple rear camera configuration and a 120Hz AMOLED display. The Poco F4 GT, which arrived in Europe in April as a rebranded version of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, is one of the most recent examples that the company usually launches repackaged Redmi phones in India and other territories under its own brand name. According to the leak, the OnePlus Nord 2T, which was just released, was the last mid-range device to have an alert slider. But according to a leak, it will now be limited to the company’s most premium models like Pro models. Not just that it will be available on Oppo flagships from now on. On Twitter, well-known tipster Yogesh Brar claimed that only a handful OnePlus phones will now have the alert slider. According to the tweet, the OnePlus Nord 2T, which was released in May, was the last handset to include an alert slider. The OnePlus 10T is expected to be released sans the alert slider. The alert slider is also missing in a leaked render of the smartphone. However, OnePlus is yet to confirm the rumour, so take the information with a grain of salt. Previously, Yogesh Brar, in collaboration with Onsitego, has revealed the OnePlus 10T renders. The handset is shown in black with no alert slider in the leaked renders. The device is believed to be known as the OnePlus 10 or OnePlus 10T. It is also displayed using a hole-punch display design. The phone’s volume rocker is located on the right spine, while the power button is located on the left. According to the tipped information, the device will likely equip a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.  According to the leak, the OnePlus 10 will be powered by OxygenOS 12 and will include a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.  The OnePlus 10T is reported to have a triple-back camera system, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) (Optical Image Stabilisation). We got the opportunity to review the all-new Vivo T1 Pro 5G, the latest smartphone model from the Vivo brand. The device is offered with 6GB/8GB RAM options combined with 128GB internal storage. It comes with a 6.44-inch HDR 10+ AMOLED display and a Qualcomm SM7325 Snapdragon 778G 5G (6 nm) Octa-core processor. You get to enjoy Android 12-based FunTouch 12 OS on the smartphone, dual-SIM, 5G connectivity, as well as a 64MP rear triple camera system along with a 16MP front camera. Here is a complete review of the new Vivo T1 Pro 5G, so you can decide whether to invest in this smartphone or not. 

Vivo T1 Pro 5G Review: Design And Display

The Vivo T1 Pro smartphone comes riding in a big rectangular box, white in colour, which makes the Vivo branding on top look even more prominent. Along with the smartphone comes a silicone case, a SIM ejector tool, a Vivo FlashCharge adapter, a USB to Type-C cable, a quick start guide and an information booklet.  Smartphone Back Opening the lid, you face its 6.44-inch sleek black display, which has about 86% screen-to-body ratio. Picking the phone in hand, it does not feel too heavy in weight. Flip it over and you’ll meet its plastic back coated in its body colour panel with a glimmering shine. The smartphone is available in two colours in India, Turbo Black and Turbo Cyan, out of which we were able to get our hands on the latter.  The triple camera system is structured in a well-planned and symmetrical manner. The rear cameras and the flashlight are mounted on a double-level platform. The first level, made up of glass, hosts the flashlight. The second level, made of plastic, has the cameras fixed in it. While the rest of the back reflects a range of colours complementing the main shade, the shades of the mount are steady.  Smartphone Frame The back of the smartphone has sides sloping towards the left and right direction. This navigates your eyes to its frame, which is also made of plastic. The volume button and the power button lie on the right side while the left side has been kept free. At the bottom lies the SIM card tray, a USB Type-C port, as well as the speaker of its mono audio system. The device has an under-display fingerprint sensor.  Bring the smartphone to life, and you’ll be greeted by its HDR10+ AMOLED display. It has a screen resolution of 1080×2404 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 409ppi pixel density. The look and feel of the smartphone interface is quite nice. The colour range is pretty wide and the default theme is subtle. The legibility of the device under sunlight is also good, thanks to its 1,300 nits brightness. Speaking of the touch experience, it is soft and fluid.  The experience of watching videos on Youtube was great on the Vivo T1 Pro smartphone. The video quality can be enhanced up to 2160p at a 60fps rate. Playing any UHD content on the app completely immerses you in it.  The same can be said about streaming movies and TV series on Netflix.  The colours on the screen are full of contrast and pop out, appealing to the eyes. The picture quality is also clear. Together with the commendable sound system, the streaming experience is taken to the next level. When set to more than 70%, the smartphone audio is blaring loud. However, one still does miss a stereo audio output on the device.  Smartphone Gaming Experience Gaming on the device was tested by playing high-end games like Asphalt 9 Legends. The graphics quality is quite pleasing to the eyes. The colours are full of vibrance. The response to touch is also pretty swift. Overall, the gameplay is buttery smooth.  All in all, the design of the Vivo T1 Pro 5G is stylish and has a pinch of glamour sprinkled to it. Vivo T1 Pro 5G Review: Performance And Cameras

Elaborating further on the new Vivo T1 Pro specifications, it offers 6GB/8GB RAM options with 128GB internal storage. The device runs on a Qualcomm SM7325 Snapdragon 778G 5G (6 nm) Octa-core processor, with Adreno 642L GPU. The battery capacity of the phone is 4,700mAh and supports 66W fast charging.  It gets fully charged in about 1 hour. The battery life is also pretty impressive. Upon mild to moderate usage, it can last up to two days. Upon heavy usage, it can pull through an entire day, or even more.  The Vivo T1 Pro is a dual-SIM smartphone that supports 5G connectivity. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. Other than the fingerprint scanner, the device comes equipped with other sensors like an accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass.  Home-Screen-App-Drawer One gets to enjoy working on the Android 12 based Funtouch 12 OS. The home screen and the app drawer interface are easy to acquaint with. You can set up gesture navigation for yourself, change the fingerprint scan animation, lock screen and even charging animation.  However, a minor negative aspect is that the smartphone comes loaded with unnecessary applications. But on the plus side, no app crash was observed and switching between multiple applications is also smooth. The phone also does not get heated up easily.  Vivo-T1-Pro-Camera Coming to the Vivo T1 Pro camera review, it comes with a 64MP+8MP+2MP triple rear camera setup, along with a 16MP front selfie camera. There are multiple zoom modes offered, but only for the rear camera. The clarity of images starts degrading from 3x and above. Videos can be recorded in up to 4k resolution at a 30fps frame rate from the rear camera and up to 1080p at 30fps from the front.  The camera interface has a very efficient design. Most tools are accessible right away, without one having to open the camera settings. Moreover, the camera also provides you with a Level tool which helps in levelling your shots in case the camera’s position is not linear or stable.

The standard rear camera Photo mode clicks great shots. In daylight, the colours appear close to reality while the clarity of the captures is commendable. The Portrait mode is one step ahead, and combined with the bokeh effect, makes pictures come alive. However, in low light, a slight greenish tint was observed in the Photo mode captures. The rear camera’s Night mode does correct the tint and brightens up the shot, although the colours get faded a little. But the end result produced is quite decent, overall.  Vivo-T1-Pro-64MP-Mode Images taken from the 64MP mode are even more vivid. The details are captured pretty well. Some may observe the contrast to be a little on the upside. The whites in the shot also increase. But under the right external conditions, this may also work in your favour.  Selfies from the front camera are also impressive. The details are captured thoroughly and the colours and skin tones are very close to reality. The selfie camera Portrait mode provides you with a wide range of beautification tools like facial features and skin tone adjustments, buffing and more. You can tweak these in real-time to achieve your desired effects. To sum up, the Vivo T1 Pro 5G is a decent smartphone in its price range. The various features it offers with its package neither stand out exceptionally, nor lack in quality, and therefore stand somewhere in the middle. Recently the Reserve Bank has authorised credit cards to be linked to the unified payments interface (UPI), allowing more people to use the popular platform to make payments. Currently, UPI allows transactions by linking customers’ debit cards to their savings or current accounts. Now that the RBI has allowed credit card payments using UPI, here’s how to link your credit card to UPI. According to Das, the new arrangement will provide clients with greater options and ease when making payments using the UPI platform. The RBI Governor stated that this option will be enabled first on Rupay credit cards issued by the RBI-backed National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). It will be made available following system development. The RBI Governor stated that “necessary instructions will be issued to NPCI separately.” The RBI Governor stated, “In order to further deepen the reach and usage, it is proposed to allow linking of credit cards to UPI. To start with, Rupay credit cards will be enabled with this facility. Apple is known for its massive range and regular updates. For those who aren’t in the market for the latest iPhone 13 range, is it better to step a generation and opt for one of the iPhone 12s, or look to their brand-new entry-level iPhone SE? Let’s take a look.

iPhone Types

Before we head too in-depth, it’s important to remember that there’s a lot to the iPhone range. Here’s a brief rundown:
  • The Mini: Designed as the base model of the recent iPhone ranges, it’s the smallest and lightest of their phones
  • The iPhone: The classic iPhone will typically offer the same hardware and features as the mini, but on a larger device with a better battery
  • The Pro: The iPhone Pro range is designed as the upgrade to the standard iPhone, offering a premium build and, typically, a better camera set
  • The Pro Max: iPhone’s Pro Max range builds on the idea of a premium iPhone, adding a larger screen and better battery to the mix.

How Does the iPhone 12 and iPhone SE (2022) Differ from the iPhone 13?

Of course, for true Apple fans, there’s never a better choice than the latest in the market. However, it can be a pricey upgrade, and if you’re more indifferent to the ‘brand pull’ and FOMO inspired by Apple’s regular upgrades, you’re not losing out on too much stepping back a generation. The iPhone 12 mini runs slightly older hardware than the iPhone 13, of course, and it did lack some of their newer camera features. However, it still offered a selection of colors if style matters to you, the same dust/water resistance, and a dual camera with an OLED display. The larger entrants in the range build from this base. The brand-new iPhone SE is a reinvention of 2020’s iPhone SE, which was tied to the launch of the iPhone 8. It lacks a lot in the display compared to the latest-gen iPhone 13s, but uses the same core hardware and 5G capabilities. It has only a single, rear-facing camera.

The iPhone 12 generation vs the iPhone SE (2022)

So how does the newer entry-level smartphone stack up against the last generation but one from Apple’s iconic phone range?

The iPhone 12 Mini

Available in blue, green, white, black, and red, the iPhone 12 mini was one of the smallest iPhones available, smaller even than the iPhone SE (2022), but still had a larger display than the entry-level phone. As with the entire iPhone 12 range, it uses Apple’s FaceID and is shipped with an aluminium casing with a squarer look than preceding iPhone generations, and a ceramic ‘shield’ front for added durability. Dual rear cameras, with Night Mode, finally available on the front camera and improved for the back, offers a solid camera experience, but it lacks next to the triple camera on most of the newer iPhone 13 range. It ran the A14 chip, as did all iPhone 12s, used HDR on an OLED display, haptic touch, and true tone. Onboard storage was the typical 128GB, 256GB, or 500GB, battery life was pegged at about 15 hours, and the display was 5.4”, the same as the current generation.

iPhone 12 and upward

Most of these features rolled into the rest of the iPhone 12 generation. They upgraded to a 6.1” display, again the same as the iPhone 13s. The Colour, build, and camera remained the same as the iPhone 12 mini on the larger iPhone. Storage came in 64Gm, 128GB, and 256GB formats, with the Pro range adding 512GB. The standard iPhone 12 has an updated flat-edge iPhone design. The Pro range brought some camera improvements, although not to the extent of the iPhone 13 generation, swapped to gorilla Glass and Steel construction, and added some more subtle colour choices to the mix. The iPhone 12 Pro Max expanded to a 6.7” screen.

The iPhone SE (2022)

Despite being a comparable size to the iPhone 12 mini, the screen is only 4.7”. It keeps hepatic touch and true tone, but there is only a single rear camera. It’s available only in black, white, and red, but keeps the same battery life and storage size as the iPhone 12 mini. Despite added IP67 protection, it has the look of the iPhone 8, so it’s a bit dated. There’s Touch ID, but no Face ID, and it uses a 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the updated 19:9 launched from Gen 11. On the plus side, it uses the 13th Gen A15 Bionic chip, making it more powerful despite the older looks. And it’s 5G capable. For a single camera, there are some new bells and whistles, but selfie-lovers will be disappointed.

The Verdict

The iPhone SE suffers in looks and screen size next to the iPhone Gen 12 but runs updated software that will appeal to those looking for a budget entry into the iPhone family that will handle calls and browsing like a pro. If you’re more invested in social media and selfies or would prefer a larger screen size or battery, then the iPhone gen 12 will definitely be a better investment. Both lack in the camera compared to the latest 13 Gen, and the iPhone 12 runs older chipsets and hardware, but they remain very comparable and competitive if you’re not ready to invest in the latest iPhone. If you’d rather bite the bullet, and go for their newest line, remember that you can always earn yourself a little extra cash to use for your new purchase with a trade-in on older technology. While Apple still offers a trade-in program at some iPhone stores, you can also look to independent electronic recyclers like Gizmogo to see if they’ll offer a better deal. Lenovo today announced the launch of Tab P12 Pro tablet and Yoga all-in-one (AIO) 7 desktop. The Tab features a 12.6-inch touchscreen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. LG Electronics has unveiled the CineBeam HDR Projector and the UltraFine Display OLED Pro in the Indian market. The new LG CineBeam HU715Q boasts Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology while the UltraFine Display OLED Pro has a changeable colour mode, genuine 10 bit colour, and DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB 99 percent technology.
