How to Enable Private DNS on Android Devices?

Domain Name Service, commonly known by its acronym – DNS, makes it possible for you to visit a website without typing its IP address. Once you type a domain name in your web browser, the DNS converts it to the appropriate IP address and allows you to visit the webpage. The problem arises when you’re on a public network and using a DNS that is not secure. In this scenario, any malicious entity can intercept your traffic on the network and look at your DNS queries. A private DNS encrypts your queries and prevents this from happening. Let’s take a look at how you can enable private DNS on Android devices. Tips To Boost AC Cooling and Reduce Your Electricity Bill

The roaring summer is here in full effect. As the temperatures soar to new highs, it is no surprise that AC usage is at its peak. The only downside is that AC units are power-hungry appliances that can shoot up your electricity bill by a great margin. Older air conditioners struggle to cool the room efficiently while consuming more power. Luckily, we have a few tips that will help you boost your AC’s cooling capacity while reducing the electricity bill. Let’s take a look. Read Also: Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: The deal you have been looking for

Regular Servicing

Regular Servicing It is highly recommended that you get your air conditioner serviced every summer. Not only does it boost the cooling capacity of the AC, it also increases its longevity. When it is in constant use, the AC tends to accumulate a lot of dust in its air filter. Condenser fins are susceptible to mould growth when the device has been dormant for a long period. A quick servicing at the start of the season ensures that the air conditioner is in perfect condition. A faulty AC is not only less efficient, but it can also consume more power than usual.

Keep the temperature around 24°C

Keep the temperature around 24°C The Bureau of Energy Efficiency recommends keeping the cooling temperature around 24°C. Most air conditioners have their default temperature set to 24°C. For every drop in degree, the AC uses 6% more power. While lower temperatures can cool a room pretty quickly, they may not be beneficial for an extended period of time. It is suggested that you set the temperature between 24°C and 28°C and let the AC slowly cool the room.

Seal the room

Seal the room. Tips To Boost AC Cooling and Reduce Your Electricity Bill When the AC is turned on, make sure all the doors and windows in your room are sealed shut. Cover the windows with curtains to reduce the heating due to sunlight. Failing to take these measures will expedite the loss of cooling in your room. The AC consumes more power when the room temperature isn’t stable and is constantly influenced by external factors. By limiting the flow of air and reducing the passage of external heat, you can keep your room cool for a longer period of time.

Use the timer

Use the timer. Tips To Boost AC Cooling and Reduce Your Electricity Bill While cooling your room at night, use the timer on your AC remote. It is very common to forget to turn off the AC when you go to bed. The room temperate is already pretty low at night and you don’t need the AC to be cooling your room throughout the night. Setting the timer shuts off the AC after the stipulated time period. This will save you a lot of money on your electricity bill.

Turn on the ceiling fan

Turn on the ceiling fan. Tips To Boost AC Cooling and Reduce Your Electricity Bill Using the ceiling fan along with the air conditioner is a great way to keep the cool air circulating in the room. You don’t need the fan running at the highest speed. It should be enough to keep a steady airflow so that cool air reaches every corner of the room. If you’ve got a big room, a single AC unit might take a long time to cool it down. Turning on the ceiling fan ensures that the chill air reaches every part of the room.

Use Eco Mode

Most air conditioners these days are equipped with a super helpful ‘Eco Mode’. Once this mode is enabled, your AC cools the room at regular intervals to cut down on overall usage. After every quarter of an hour, the AC gauges the temperature of the air. If the temperature is above the desired level, the AC turns on and cools the room down to the ideal temperature. This gets rid of the need to keep the AC turned on at all times. Read Also: 5 best gaming smartphones to play BGMI priced under Rs 20000

Conclusion

These tips will help you boost AC cooling and reduce your electricity bill by a considerable margin. If you’re buying a new AC, always check the star rating of the unit before making the purchase. This standardised rating is given by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. A higher rating means that the AC is energy-friendly and uses power efficiently.  For the latest gadget and tech news, and gadget reviews, follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Can you share any success stories or case studies of companies or organizations that have used Optoma’s products to achieve their goals?

We have a number of success stories to share but I would like to take this opportunity to tell your readers about an incident that was both challenging and exciting. The International Centre for Sikh Studies wanted to create a 45-minute audio and visual show that knits the long history of Sikhism from its inception to today with the latest projection technology. This full 360°dome projection covers an auditorium that is 18 meters in diameter and 10 meters in height, equipped with 200 seats. The auditorium projection is an immersive viewing experience that aims to create awe-inspiring and emotion-inducing memories. The building construction was completed in 2018, but due to the complex nature of this immersive dome projection, no other brands were willing to take on the AV installation component. This is when Optoma and MSS World stepped in and took the opportunity head-on. We came up with a unique solution to cater to the centre. During the planning phase, the project’s complexity evolved with adding a 6 meters diameter and 2 meters height holographic solution along with the 360°dome projection. We needed to integrate the projection and holographic content with an inflexible projection area and the limitations of projector distances. Throughout 2022, Optoma India and MSS World worked closely with the International Centre for Sikh Studies to create the massive dome and holographic screens. This is the largest installed project in India for Optoma till date. The Optoma India team provided the client and their vendors with hands-on experiences with model preselection.

What is Optoma India’s vision for the future of the projector industry, and how does the company plan to contribute to it?

Ans: Our present priority is to introduce Laser Technology for projection to every segment. Not only does it provide products with a long lifespan of from 4,000 to 20,000 hours, but it is also simple to maintain and has fewer outages during the course of the product’s lifetime. Compared to lamp-based projectors, their colour reproduction capabilities are greater. In the next 18 months, we want to have up to 80% of our product line-up be laser light source projectors. The move from projectors with lesser resolutions to 4K and 4K UHD models, which produce images with resolutions of 4,096 x 2,160 and 3,840 x 2,160 respectively, is another technology we are concentrating on. These projectors create detailed images that enable a cinematic and interesting experience. As mentioned we are also focusing on environment-friendly products too. Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: The deal you have been looking for

We’re back with another smartwatch review. For the review this time, we have the Crossbeats Ignite Surge. It is an Apple Watch Ultra clone from a local manufacturer of digital accessories, and it costs less than Rs 4,000. A number of high-end functions are included with the gadget, including sensors for fitness and health monitoring, different watch faces, and Bluetooth calling. Isn’t it amazing, the Apple Watch design, with an AMOLED display and AOD, costs only Rs 3,499? Let’s explore this further in this Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review.

Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: Design and Display

It is considerably less expensive than the Rs 89,999 original Apple Watch. Although there is obviously no way to compare the two, we must admit that everyone who saw us wearing this watch questioned us about it. The complete similarity between this and the Apple one is pretty astounding. The design and quality are superb. We’d describe it as nearly faultless, and the level of detail is incredible. The watch has a square dial with a golden matte surface that deters fingerprints and a removable strap. Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: Design and Display On the right side of the metal frame are a digital crown and a command key, while on the left side is a speaker that will be used for phone conversations. The rear, which houses all the sensors and the charging ports, is made of plastic whereas the frame is constructed of metal.   Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: Design and Display The Apple Watch Ultra served as a major design influence for the bands. The buckle is of the same style. You can wear it at the gym for a run or even while swimming because it is IP67 dust and water-resistant. Again, all this under Rs 4K. Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: Design and Display The rotating crown is an extremely fascinating and useful function because it essentially turns on the display and helps change watch faces rapidly. The button that allows you to access all of your workouts is located immediately beneath that. Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: Design and Display The 1.8-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED dial is a feature of the Crossbeats Ignite Surge smartwatch. The Always On Display function, which is exclusive to premium range smartwatches, is also available on this squarish dial.   review of Crossbeats Ignite Surge Because of the display’s excellent quality, even the smallest of texts is quite clear and crisp. The screen can reach a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, enabling good outside visibility. Additionally, the colour reproduction is lovely and bright. The smartwatch also comes with over 500 interchangeable watch faces. The tap gestures are also very fluid. The quick toggle, which has a phone call, vibration alert, flashlight, movie mode, and direct access to the display’s brightness, can be accessed by swiping down from the top of the screen. review of Crossbeats Ignite Surge

Crossbeats Ignite Surge Review: Performance

To pair it with your smartphone go to the play store search for the Da Fit app and click install. iOS users can also find this app in the respective App Store, too. After that, simply click “open” and “add device” to finish. The DaFit app’s home page displays all of your fitness and health-related data. You can view the battery level, pre-installed watch faces, and much more on the second tab. You can immediately download watch faces from the app’s large assortment of watch faces gallery. You can further personalise it by selecting an image from the gallery on your phone. You may share your data with Google Fit using the third tab, which leads to Google Fit, which is a really useful function. review of Crossbeats Ignite Surge Also Read: 10 Best Free Ways to Read Articles Without Subscription on Any Website Speaking specifically about the features, the Ignite Surge has over 125 training modes and AI health monitoring, both of which are easily accessed by pushing the button underneath the crown. You can check the duration, steps, distance, calories burned, and more as soon as the workout begins. Although everything is wonderful, the step count is not. We observed that step counts were displayed even when the watch was not being worn. review of Crossbeats Ignite Surge   The watch’s ability to deliver real-time health information will allow users to easily monitor themselves while on the go. But to test the heart rate monitoring, we set it down on the table to see whether the sensors could pick it up. It immediately told us to put it on and then try. So we tested it and obtained a precise reading. Then, after testing the SpO2 sensor and comparing it to other devices, we found that the reading was accurate. Point of caution, don’t use these readings as medical advice; they are only for your reference. review of Crossbeats Ignite Surge Support for digital voice assistants is available for the Crossbeats Ignite Surge. It works with Google Voice Assistant and Siri. When connected to a smartphone, the watch also shows all alerts, including calls and texts. Right from your wrist, you may initiate, decline, and end a call. You can use your smartwatch to directly converse as you get calls. Indoors, the Watch Speaker’s audio is audible and clear. Although you might have trouble hearing it outside depending on the noise level of your surroundings, we would only advise sticking to short, quick calls when you are outside. review of Crossbeats Ignite Surge A 300 mAh battery powering this new inexpensive smartwatch keeps everything running. With the Ignite Surge, the manufacturer promises up to five days of backup. However, if Always On mode is activated and there are several phone calls, the smartwatch’s battery life would only last for a maximum of two days. Verdict

So the Crossbeats Ignite Surge is a lot similar to Apple Watch Ultra. In addition, the Crossbeats Ignite Surge smartwatch has an Advanced BT calling capability that enables users to respond to and take calls directly from the Watch itself, without actually using the paired smartphone. In general, the user interface is very simple and uncomplicated. The smartwatch is cool, and the price of Rs 3,499 is a great value. Everything you can ask for in this price range is here.
