Creators Can Now Remix YouTube Videos, YouTube Shorts Expands to Web and Tablets as well

Last year, YouTube gave Shorts creators the ability to sample audio from videos called Remixing. Now it has expanded its remixing capabilities by bringing new features. The company is now testing a new way to remix any eligible YouTube video. In addition, the video streaming platform has made Shorts more accessible to viewers across a wider range of devices. It is now available on the Web (desktop and mobile browsers) and tablets. While announcing the new features YouTube via blog post said, “Last year, we rolled out the ability for Shorts creators to sample audio from videos – we call this ‘remixing’ – so that you can put your own spin on the content you love. Today, as we look to expand our remixing capabilities, we’re in the early stages of rolling out a new way to remix any eligible video on YouTube. And, as an additional update, we’re also making the Shorts experience more readily accessible to viewers on more devices!” YouTube has begun a phased rollout of a feature that allows you to use a 1-5 second segment from any eligible YouTube video or Short in the creation of new original Shorts content, based on user feedback and demand. Creators Can Now Remix YouTube Videos, YouTube Shorts Expands to Web and Tablets as well How to make use of the function: Select ‘Cut’ from the remix options after tapping ‘Create.’ You’ll be able to sample a section of the video to use in your content from there. You can select the desired segment by clicking the 3-dot menu, selecting ‘Cut,’ and selecting it from a Short. As per the company when a Short is made from your own channel’s content, a link to your original video will be included in the Shorts player. Linking back to your original video gives previously untapped audiences a chance to discover and interact with your content in new ways. Note: You can always opt out of having your long-form content remixed by other creators in YouTube Studio. If you have an iOS device, this feature will be available in the coming weeks (and Android later this year). YouTube Shorts are now available on the web (desktop and mobile browsers) as well as on tablets to offer the best experience for watching short-form content. In the coming weeks, web users on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices will notice a Shorts shelf on Home and a Shorts tab on these devices (like you may have seen in the main YouTube app). When viewers find Shorts to watch, they can go to the Shorts watch experience to discover more content by swiping vertically from one video to the next. According to the company, all of the views you get from these new surfaces count toward your Shorts Fund eligibility. Samsung Galaxy S22+ Review: Ultra Premium

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S22 Series. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Ultra variant is receiving the most praise of the three models, as the Galaxy Note Series is now officially dead, and it’s up to the Ultra to continue the Note tradition. While the Galaxy S22+ has been overshadowed by the Ultra, which has undergone a complete redesign, the S22+ is a worthy upgrade over its predecessor. We’ve had the S22+ for over a month and will be sharing our impressions as well as determining whether it’s a device worth considering. You can read more about our experiences with the device in our Samsung Galaxy S22+ review.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ Review: Design and Display

First and foremost, let’s talk about the design. The design of the Galaxy S22+ is similar to that of the Galaxy S21+. However, appearances can be deceiving, as there are minor differences in the smartphone’s build and design. Let us show you how. The hands-on feel of the device is pretty good. Samsung has opted for a more boxy form factor with rounded corners this time around, abandoning the classic curve design. Samsung Galaxy S22+ Review: Design and Display The squared design aids grip greatly, but the edges are a little sharp, so it isn’t always the most comfortable. We wish Samsung had provided a more seamless feel to the phone. The phone is a little shorter and thinner, but wider than the S21+. In India, the phone comes in three colours. Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom White are three different types of Phantoms. Samsung Galaxy S22+ Review in India The rear camera module is kept in a stylish contour cut design that blends in nicely with the rest of the phone. On the front, there are symmetrical slim bezels on both sides, as well as a flat display with a punch hole for the selfie camera. Because the phone is also quite slippery, it is difficult to hold in one hand, so a case is recommended for added protection against mishaps.  The back panel has a silky matte texture and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both the front and back, making it fingerprint and smudge resistant. The phone has armoured aluminium frames on the sides that add heft, but the company chose a smaller battery that reduces the phone’s weight to 195gms. Overall, the phone is just the right size, as it is neither too small nor too large. IP68 dust and water resistance is included, as well as stereo speakers. Samsung’s Galaxy S-Series is the most expensive smartphone line, and the company’s flagships always have the best display. A 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield for blue light management distinguish the Samsung Galaxy S22+. There’s also an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz that can be reduced to 48Hz and a peak brightness of 1,750 nits, so you won’t have any problems seeing it in bright sunlight. Samsung Galaxy S22+ Review: Design and Display The display is crisp, and the colour reproduction is excellent, with perfect contrast for deeper blacks and brighter whites. The contrast and colour saturations are well adjusted in both dark and bright environments thanks to the availability of the vision booster. HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG are all supported by the display. Surprisingly, Dolby Vision isn’t supported, but the S22+ has Widewinde L1 certification, so the viewing experience is excellent and it’s a pleasure to consume content on this phone. On the side of the screen, there’s an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that’s quick and accurate. With strong vibrations, the haptics are excellent. Unlike the S22 Ultra, which has an LTPS panel, there is a presence of variable refresh rate. The USB Type-C port and SIM tray are located on the bottom, while the volume rocker and power button are located on the right side of the frame.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ Review: Performance and Camera

Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC underpins the S22+ performance. Previously, Exynos models were only available in India, but this time the company has broken with tradition by offering the Snapdragon variant. Qualcomm’s latest chipset, based on a 4nm process, is one of the most premium SoCs for flagships, providing superior and stable performance.  The chipset also includes a modem and can support up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For this review, we received the 128GB model. Unfortunately, there is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. The device, on the other hand, is quick to respond and capable of handling anything you throw at it, including the most demanding games and multitasking. We played games like Asphalt 9 and Call of Duty Mobile when it came to the gaming side of things. Despite being a flagship phone, the device becomes extremely warm after a few minutes of gaming or when performing intensive tasks. Even in the highest settings, this was apparent. The sampling rate for touch was also excellent and responsive. Aside from that, the phone’s performance is quite good, with no lags or micro stutters in the animations and multitasking being a breeze. However, even while recording videos, we experienced jitters when changing camera lenses. To be honest, this phone’s cooling system isn’t as effective as we thought it to be. Samsung Galaxy S22+ Review in India In terms of software, the device comes pre-installed with Android 12 and Samsung’s OneUI 4.1 interface. The UI is simple and fresh, and it’s still one of our favourite Android skins. The phone comes with some pre-installed apps. In addition, the company has promised four years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates, which is fantastic. The well-liked UI’s entire theme is based on the wallpaper you select and is well-executed. While switching from one app to another, the adaptive refresh rate works flawlessly. Now, let’s talk about optics. Compared to the previous generation, Samsung has made a number of changes in the camera department. A 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2 aperture lens and 120-degree FoV), a 50MP main Dual Pixel autofocus wide-angle sensor (f/1.8 aperture lens with autofocus), and a 10MP telephoto sensor (f/2.4 aperture, 3x optical zoom, and OIS) are all found on the back of the S22+. The smartphone’s 10MP selfie camera has an f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree field of vision.
review of Samsung Galaxy S22+
Normal/10x zoom
In daylight, the primary sensor can capture bright, detailed photos with punchy saturated colours. The shadow processing has been improved, and the detail levels have also been raised. The images appear more appealing and natural because the colour tones are slightly warmer.
review of Samsung Galaxy S22+
Telephoto
The dynamic range of the camera is excellent. Similarly, the ultra-wide images have a lot of detail, better shadows, and better colour tones. For portraits, the telephoto lens has a 3X optical zoom, and the images are stunning, with a well-focused subject and plenty of details. However, we discovered that it struggled to process shadow in some situations.
review of Samsung Galaxy S22+
Portrait/Normal low light images
We also noticed that the nighttime pictures of the S22+ were sharper, brighter, and less noisy. While the phone’s night mode does a good job of reducing noise while maintaining nice details and exposure control if you keep your hands steady.
review of Samsung Galaxy S22+
Wide/ultra-wide
review of Samsung Galaxy S22+
Telephoto
We even noticed a yellowish tint in the selfies, but the contrast is much more balanced. Selfies are captured in great detail thanks to the 10MP camera. Nighttime selfies, on the other hand, are softer and noisier. review of Samsung Galaxy S22+ The Galaxy S22+ has good video stabilisation and can shoot videos in up to 8K@24fps. 4K@60fps footage, on the other hand, was found to be more stable from both the front and back cameras. So, if you’re into vlogging, this is undoubtedly one of the best options available. Given its smaller battery capacity (4,500mAh) and power-hungry processor, the S22 +’s battery life hasn’t been particularly impressive. Under heavy use, the battery can last for less than an entire day on a single charge, and you’ll need to recharge it before going to bed. However, the S22+ supports up to 45W charging, which appears to be an improvement over the previous generation’s 25W charging. It can go from zero to 100 percent in exactly one hour using a 25W charger that was lying around (yes, there is no charger in the box).

Conclusion

We had a lot of fun with the Samsung Galaxy S22+, and we recommend it at Rs 84,999. This is a fantastic device for someone who wants a flagship Samsung phone but doesn’t want to spend a lot of money and doesn’t use the S Pen. For those people, the S22+ checks almost every box and does a fantastic job with the fundamentals. It has a fantastic design, a stunning display, and fantastic cameras, to name a few features. However, we believe Samsung could have made this phone even better, but they are concentrating their efforts on the more expensive S22 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ Pros

  • Stylish appearance
  • excellent display
  • Pro Cameras

Samsung Galaxy S22+ Cons

  • Heating issue
  • Smaller Battery

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review: Should You Pick It Up In This Price Range?

The latest A-series smartphone model from the brand Samsung, i.e., the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is here. Now before you make a buying decision, it is extremely necessary to thoroughly go through your choice inside out and gain all-round insights about it first. Here is a complete review of the all-new Samsung Galaxy A53 5G elaborating upon its design, display, performance and cameras as well as its pros and cons. Making a wise investment goes a long way after all.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review: Design And Display

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes sitting in a modest-looking rectangular box with a palm-sized length. It is offered in pastel shades of blue, black, peach and white, out of which we were able to get our hands on its pastel blue model. Supporting the smartphone comes along a SIM ejector pin as well as a quick-start guide. The brand continues its eco-friendly adapter less packaging tradition with this latest A5X series smartphone model. However, they do send along a Type-C to Type-C USB cable with the device.  Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review Upon picking up the brand-new smartphone in hand, you are able to feel its weight distributed perfectly throughout its body. Running your fingers over its shiny black screen gives you a silky smooth feel. Flip the phone over and you are greeted with its premium-looking pastel shade plastic back cover that has a matt finish to it. The symmetrical arrangement of its quad-camera system along with the rear flash (all mounted on a clearly defined raised platform) is hard to miss. The Samsung logo on the lower back is engraved in off-white ever so subtly.  Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review The spine of the Galaxy A53 5G appears to be made of plastic with a glossy finishing. The power button and the volume button can be found on its right side while the SIM card tray, microphone and a Type-C USB port are located at its bottom. Unlike its predecessor Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, this iteration misses an audio jack in it.  Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review Upon bringing the phone to life, you are welcomed by a Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display size is about 6.5-inches and the smartphone has an 85.4% screen-to-body ratio approximately. With a 1,080 x 2,400 pixel resolution, the Galaxy A53 display has a 405ppi density, a 20:9 aspect ratio and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection. The display can light up with more than 800 nits of brightness levels. Hence, when taken in sunlight, you won’t face much trouble viewing the smartphone screen. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has an ultra-soft and silky touch experience. Its in-display fingerprint sensor gives you a ripple effect when touched. Facial Recognition unlocking and Always-On display are also offered along with other usual display and smart-lock settings.  Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review The colours appear quite vivid, with great contrast and saturation. You will find yourself getting deeply immersed in the world of gaming while playing high-end multiplayer games like Asphalt 9 Legends. The smartphone offers premium quality gaming graphics that are quite bold, and have super-fine clarity and higher vibrance in colours. Although the picture quality offered via Youtube is almost life-like, videos can be streamed in up to 1080 pixels only. Even Samsung’s new Galaxy M series models provide streaming quality options up to 2,160 pixels.  Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G mobile device has a decent-looking design with a good quality display.  Read also: OnePlus Nord CE 2 Review: Super Stylish Design With Excellent Performance

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review: Performance And Cameras

Elaborating upon its technical specifications, the all-new Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes with an Octa-core processor (2x 2.4GHz Cortex-A78 and 6×2.0GHz Cortex-A55). It is built upon an Exynos 1280 (5nm) chipset coupling Mali-G68 GPU. The smartphone comes pre-installed with Android 12 OS and is offered with combinations of 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal memory.  The Galaxy A53 is a hybrid dual-SIM (nano-SIM) supporting model, which means that you would have to choose whether to use the second slot for putting another SIM card or a microSD card. The smartphone can either act as a dual-SIM or a single-SIM plus microSD one, but not both at the same time. The Samsung Galaxy A53 supports 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It has the capacity to withhold operations for more than one day in case of extensive usage (involving continuous video streaming and heavy mobile gaming) and for more than 2 days upon mild to mediocre usage. It is also supported by Samsung’s 25W fast charging technology (but as said the charger is not part of the package). App drawer The home screen, app drawer and applications come with the standard Samsung format, looks and bubble icons. The Samsung folder comes with some additional applications like SmartThings, Samsung Pay, Smart Switch, Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Health and more. Additionally, in the quick-swipe control panel are provided two new settings toggles, namely Link to Windows and Screen recorder. While the former is used to link your smartphone to your laptop or PC, the latter helps you to directly record your screen activity.  Gaming Multiple applications can be run without facing any lag from the system. The smartphone has a stereo audio output, which provides a decent sound experience in terms of loudness. The gaming experience on the smartphone was found quite thrilling. The colours have a sharp contrast and vibrance while the stereo sound support pulls you completely into the gaming dimension. However, a slight lag was observed in the touch response to stimulus while playing games like Shadow Fight 2 and Asphalt 9 Legends, although it may seem insignificant.  Speaking of watching movies and TV shows on OTT platforms like Netflix, the streaming quality along with the audio experience is fine. You are able to binge-watch your favourite shows on the smartphone comfortably. After hours of streaming videos and playing heavy games for reviewing the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, it still does not get heated up even in hot weather conditions.
Cameras
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Rear Camera
Coming to its cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes with a rear quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro and a 5MP depth lens. The front selfie camera is 32MP. Videos from both the front and the rear camera can be recorded in HD at 30fps, FHD at 30fps/60fps and UHD at 30fps.  The camera is supported with gyro-EIS image stabilization, which is quite effective in shooting videos. However, the rear camera video mode appears to be a bit grainy as compared to the selfie camera video mode and the colours get slightly downgraded in terms of saturation, contrast and clarity.  A picture can speak a thousand words, so here are a few images that we clicked from the rear cameras.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Normal vs Night mode
The rear camera’s night mode does a fine job at brightening up the night shots. However, one can’t help but notice the significant drop in clarity and sharpness as well as a slight yellowish tint taking over the captures. The rear camera pro mode works quite great. In daylight, the details of the image are captured very well while the colours have a ‘pop’ effect, with sharp contrast and a subtle element of vibrance giving the images a premium look.  The bokeh effect also does a great job. The camera also comes with a Fun mode which embeds all the Snapchat filters in itself. The various creative filters are thus directly accessible from the inbuilt camera app which eradicates the need to access the Snapchat application for the same. Verdict

Geekbench scores Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G offers a decent and sober-looking design. Its Super AMOLED display is certainly eye-pleasing, but the quality options available for streaming Youtube videos are limited. The smartphone operating system works fine and the battery life offered is commendable. Geekbench 5 gives it a single-core score of 745 and a multi-core score of 1865 for CPU benchmarking, with several smartphones (including that from Samsung itself) getting a higher score.  Cameras are a spot Samsung could have done better, but we are sure in the next software update they will make them better. Weighing its pros and cons along with the various features that it has to offer, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G price seems a tad bit costly. Its starts at Rs 34,499.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Pros

  • Decent body design and a good display
  • Great battery life
  • Does not get heated up easily

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Cons

  • The camera quality could have been better
