Canon launches seven new PIXMA G series Ink tank printers in India

Canon has launched its flagship high-speed Ink Tank printers in its PIXMA G-series for home and small businesses in India. The company has released a total of seven new Ink Tank Printers namely PIXMA G3060, PIXMA G3021, PIXMA G3020, PIXMA G2060, PIXMA G2021, PIXMA G2020, and PIXMA G1020. The printers include drip-free, hands-free ink refilling mechanism, and a user-replaceable maintenance cartridge built to stand out with high ink volumes and low-cost printing. Speaking on the launch, Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi, President & CEO, Canon India said, “The pandemic has transformed the way we have operated, by bringing in a significant shift in the usage pattern of technology and devices. With the entire world grappling to adapt to a hybrid working environment, we have witnessed a sudden rise in the demand of multi-functional ink-tank printers. This has further led to the Consumer System Products division becoming one of the highest contributing businesses for us in India. As we continue to address the evolving needs of our customers, we are delighted to further strengthen our ink-tank product portfolio with the launch of 7 versatile PIXMA G series printers that are specially built to boost productivity for home and small businesses.” The printers are touted to be cost-efficient and comes with reliable ink tank technology. According to the company, all the Canon printers have an economy mode that lets the users print up to 7700 colour pages or 7600 black pages in economy mode. The main technology that works behind Xiaomi’s remote charging works on space positioning and energy transmission. The professional camera further includes 4K Full-frame back-illuminated CMOS Exmor R sensor, fast hybrid autofocus and delivers recording up to 4K 120p / HD 240p, 10 bit 4:2:2 colour depth in full-frame. The Sony camera also comes with support for 12G-SDI and 4K at up to 60p 16-bit SDI RAW output with ISO expandable to 409,600 for very low light conditions. Along with the introduction of the Sony ILME-FX6V full-frame format camera the company has also launched an accompanying full-frame E-mount lens, 16-35mm (FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G) for high optical performance, reliable operability and intelligent shooting functions for professional video creation. The camera features a compact and lightweight body design having an S-Cinetone look profile, also used in FX9 and inspired by VENICE colourimetry. The Chinese smartphone company Itel owned by Transsion Holding has launched its latest budget smartphone in the Indian market. The company has launched Itel A47 that is going to be accessible via the e-commerce website Amazon in the country. The device comes with a 5.5-inch display and super curved edges with 2.5D Glass, 3020mAh powerful battery, 2+32GB memory, face unlock and multi-functional fingerprint sensor for dual security. In addition to this, the smartphone also equips a dual rear camera set up and a 3,020mAh battery. Itel A47 smartphone price in India and availability The price of Itel A47 in India has been set at Rs 5,499 for the single 2GB RAM with 32GB of storage option. The device comes in two colour options Cosmic Purple and Ice Lake Blue. The latest budget phone will be available for purchase via Amazon starting February 5th at 12 noon onwards with EMI options.

The specs of the Galaxy M02 are yet to be announced whereas we are very much aware of the specs of the Poco M3 as it has already made its debut in the US a few months back. As per the dedicated landing page for the upcoming smartphone created on Amazon, the launch event will take place via an online launch event starting at 1 PM. The device is stated to fall under Rs 7,000 and will be a successor of Galaxy M01 which was launched in June last year. The specification of the Galaxy M02 has not been officially revealed but the company has confirmed that it will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V Display. In addition to this, it will pack a 5,000mAh battery. The device is also rumoured to be a rebadged variant of Galaxy A02s which debuted in Europe in November last year. While the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage option comes at $169 that translates to Rs 12,500. Speaking of the specification Poco M3 will run MIUI 12 for Poco based on the top of Android 10. The Union Budget 2021 highlights: What the gadget and tech industry is saying?

Budget 2021 offers an opportunity to implement structural reforms in the manufacturing sector to contribute to 25% of India’s GDP by 2025. The service sector has been a significant factor in propelling India’s economy. The manufacturing sector is yet to reap its fruits, despite its higher multiplier effect on employment and growth. Let’s see what the tech and gadgets industry have to say about Budget 2021.

Mr. Rajeev Singh, Managing Director of BenQ India, said, “A very significant budget as India is coming out fast from effects of COVID 19, Government has given the strong emphasis on spending on Infrastructure along with the big push for Atmanirbhar Bharat. Alongside, there is no change in the direct taxes largely which were moderated for companies last time. This will mean more money in the system and will act positively towards faster growth of the economy. The government has also given an additional push to education and skill development segment in the budget which will result in the extensive use of technology which in turn will give a boost to the virtual classroom and Blended and Hybrid Learning.”

Vinu Cheriyan, CFO & Director Operation, Sennheiser India, said, “For 2021-2022 Union Budget, the government has made some notable announcements that are aimed towards the overall development on the ease of doing business. The central government plans to create manufacturing global champions via PLI scheme in 13 sectors will help the manufacturing sector to double its growth rate, which will end up creating huge job opportunities across. Additionally, the Government of India has chosen a big infrastructure push by allocating budgets to construct national highways which will improve the connectivity in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. The Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the inclusion of one-person companies (OPCs) will be stimulated by allowing such companies “to grow without restriction on paid-up capital and turnover, allowing conversion into any other type of company at any time, reducing the residency limit for an Indian citizen to set up an OPC from 182 days to 120 days, and allow also non-resident Indians to incorporate OPCs in India”.

Government’s continued emphasis on increasing investment in Infrastructure, Insurance and digital payments will ensure financial inclusion of the masses.” The Finance Minister, Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the union budget stated that the government aims to spend ₹1.97 lakh crore on various PLI schemes over the next 5 years, beginning from this fiscal year. This will be an extension to the ₹40,951 crores declared for the PLI for electronic manufacturing schemes. The production-associated incentive scheme (PLI) for large-scale electronics manufacturing provides incentives to producers that shall play a significant role in making India a hub for manufacturing and exports. The scheme shall promote local companies to establish or extend manufacturing units in India. Mr. Rahul Agarwal, CEO & Managing Director, Lenovo India, said, “The six pillars of the Union Budget 2021 add enormous value to the economic relief post the pandemic issues and paint a futuristic picture for the new year. 10 upcoming smartphones that will launch in India in the next few months

There are a lot of smartphones, which will be launched in the coming months of 2021, here is a look at them. With the ever-changing demands and preferences of smartphone users, the companies are constantly in competition to deliver smartphones loaded with features underneath cutting-edge looks. In the next two months, a flurry of smartphones will be launched in the country that will range from Rs 8,000 to Rs 60,000. A lot of Snapdragon 888 smartphones are also on the cards. Here is the list of the most awaited smartphones that are set to be launched in the next few months of 2021. 1) OnePlus 9 Series: The OnePlus 9 series will be launched at the beginning of the second quarter of 2021. It will consist of the OnePlus 9 pro and the OnePlus 9 lite. Both smartphones are expected to run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This newest series is expected to have a 50MP primary camera along with a 20MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

2) POCO M3: The POCO M3 is expected to be released in February 2021. This smartphone is among the most awaited gadgets due to its unique dual-tone finish accompanied by a rectangular block containing the triple camera module. The backside has a striking POCO branding. It comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ dot drop display and is powered by Snapdragon 662 SoC. It’s expected to have 6GB of RAM and storage of up to 128GB. This is the first phone by the Xiaomi spinoff company in 2021, which can swing a lot of consumers to its corner.

3) Samsung Galaxy M02: The new Samsung Galaxy M02 shall be one of the most affordable yet powerful smartphones that are set to be launched in 2021. This smartphone will be the newer edition of the Samsung Galaxy M01 that was launched in 2020. The Galaxy M02 will come with a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display run by a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset that can clock up to 1.8 GHz accompanied by 3GB of RAM.

4) RealMe X7 Series: This smartphone is expected to be launched by the end of February 2021. It is rumoured as the first smartphone launched in India with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus 5G chipset. It comes with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen. The mobile device shall come in three variants of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It has a 64MP rear quad-camera setup with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. This smartphone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with a 65W dash charging over a USB Type-C port.

5) RedMi Note 10 Series: This Redmi Note series is counted among the most budget-friendly smartphone series in India. It is expected to be launched in February 2021. It shall come in two models, Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. It will continue to have the IPS LCD panel, but the Pro version is expected to arrive with an AMOLED panel. The sequence will be launched in two variants viz. 4GB RAM+ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. Both the variants could be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 5G SoCs.

6) Xiaomi MI 11: This smartphone is said to be the upgrade to the Xiaomi MI 10 series. It shall be the first Xiaomi smartphone with the Snapdragon 888 chipset powered by a 4,600mAh battery. The mobile has got three ways to charge it, namely 55W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. This is one of the most anticipated launches of 2021.

7) Moto G Plus: The Moto G Plus is expected to be launched in the coming weeks of 2021. It shall come with a 6.8-inch Full HD+ LCD display powered by Snapdragon 730G SoC accompanied with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of secondary storage. It is expected to have a quad-camera setup at the back, an 8MP(f/2.2) 118-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP(f/2.2) macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. It shall also have a 16MP(f/2.0) punch-hole front camera. The smartphone shall run a 5,000mAh battery supported by TurboPower 30 charging.

8) Apple iPhone SE 3: Last year we saw Apple launching the SE 2 edition of the Apple iPhone. This time we just might see another iPhone coming as an upgrade to last year’s special edition version of the iPhone. This will again be a pocket friendly iPhone built for the masses. Not a lot of things are known about this smartphone, but we can say that both the chipset and cameras are going to see an upgrade.

9) Reliance JIO Phone 3: This will be a new 5G ready smartphone launched by the company in India. It is expected to come in the 2nd quarter of 2021 and will have a MediaTek 5G chipset inside. The battery of this smartphone will be around 3,000 mAh with an 8MP rear camera.

10) Poco F2: Poco F1 was by far the most loved smartphones at the time. Fan all over India has been waiting for the next edition of the smartphone to come to India. If we go by the rumour mill, the Poco F2 smartphone will launch in the 2nd quarter of 2020. It will come with the latest 888 Snapdragon CPU and should have a minimum of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage.

Nowadays, AMOLED panels and long-lasting batteries with fast charging have become the industry standards. Nearly all of the above smartphones cater to these requirements. Youtube testing a Twitch like clipping tool called Clips to share a small portion of a Creator’s video

The Online video sharing platform Youtube has begun testing a new feature on its platform that will allow users to capture and share some moments from other videos and live streams. This experimental feature is known as Clips that will be visible to the viewers on the channels. The clipping tool is currently available to limited creators only and they can click on this tool and choose a five-second to sixty-second segment from their videos and streams. The length of the clipping is adjustable using the slider. One can also put a title to the clips which can then further be shared across various social media platforms. Similar to live streaming service Twitch, Youtube has rolled out an experimental took called Clips to its platform that will allow creators to shared small clipping from their videos and Livestream on their social media. As per the YouTube support page, Clips is currently in limited alpha. Right now, a limited number of channels have the clips feature turned on for their channel. While Creators can’t sign up to participate in the alpha, we hope to roll out this feature soon. Moreover, its support page also mentions that the Clips feature allows you to select and share a small portion (clip) of a Creator’s video with others. Clips can be 5–60 seconds in length and will play on a loop directly on the original video’s watch page. Both Creators and signed in viewers can create Clips to be shared, via a new URL. Clips can be shared on social channels or via direct communications (for example, email or text).

How to create and share a clip

Start watching an eligible video on YouTube
Under the video, click the clip icon
A create clip box will appear.
Select the section of the video you’d like to clip. You can increase (maximum of 60 seconds) or decrease (minimum of 5 seconds) the length of your selection by dragging the slider.
Give the clip a title (max 140 characters).
Click the SHARE CLIP button.
A panel will appear, presenting different sharing options for you to use:
- Social networks: Click a social network icon (for example, Facebook or Twitter) to share the video there.
- Embed: Click the Embed button to generate a code you can use to embed the video in a website.
- Email: Choose the email icon to send an email using the default email software on your computer.
- Copy the link: Click the COPY button to copy a link to the video that you can paste somewhere else, like in an email message.

The Taiwanese electronics major Asus has announced a fresh initiative in India to train and improve the skills of budding esports talent in India. The company has announced Asus ROG Academy as India’s first-ever virtual academy for esports professionals. Those who are unaware ROG is a gaming-focused sub-brand of Asus commonly known as Republic Of Gamers. The company also produces the popular flagship gaming smartphone Asus ROG phone under this brand. With the launch of Asus ROG Academy in India, the company aims to develop a strong gaming ecosystem in India by training and improving the skills of esports professionals. This will help the budding talent in the country to compete at the national and international level through a number of programs and initiatives. According to the company, The ROG Academy is built for the next generation of Indian gamers who aspire to become professional esports athletes. The program looks to sharpen their skills and equip them with the knowledge awareness and the state of the art Asus ROG products to become future stars of the gaming community. It is a three months long program that has been designed to cater to specific games with guidance in every step of the way from veterans of the industry. Coaches and experts who have competed at both national and international events will be guiding the teams. Various training modules have been designed for the three months long session which will help the participants to understand how competitive gaming at the highest level functions. This will also focus on individual and team-based gameplay among other areas such as map pool, communication and more. In addition to this Asus ROG will also be providing top-of-the-line equipment, support in the form of a monthly stipend and content as well as marketing to support the players build a brand for themself. They will also get an official graduation certificate after the successful completion of the program. The Asus ROG Academy Program will be open to all the participants aged above 16 years. To be a part of this initiative one needs to get registered. According to the company, the first batch will be focusing on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. However, the registered individuals will go through a robust selection process that will include a series of tests, interviews and tournaments to find the most suitable candidates. The Shortlisted candidates will be placed into mixed teams based on their roles and play matches. The coach and experts will further shortlist the top 20 candidates for the program; all these players will be placed into four teams that will play a bo3 single elimination bracelet. And at last6 members will be chosen for the ROG Academy based on their performances in the matches. LG Electronics has expanded its washing machines portfolio with the launch of LG ThinQ washing machines in India, The washer features an Artificial Intelligent Direct Drive (AI DD) motor to deliver effectiveness and efficiency. It also deploys AI and advanced fabric care to deliver convenience, performance and speed. Commenting on the launch, Mr.Vijay Babu- VP- Home Appliances from LG Electronics said, “With our innovative washing technologies, we are certain that our washing machine with AI DD will exceed all consumer expectations. A welcome addition to our health and hygiene portfolio, we are confident that our latest washing machine will set a new benchmark for convenience with its larger capacity and customized laundry experience.” The LG ThinQ front-load washing machine is priced in India at Rs 44,990. It is powered with 6 Motion DD (Direct Drive) for an Optimal Wash of fabrics with different motions to remove the tough stains and at the same be gentle on the clothes. The 6 Motion Motherly Wash Includes-Scrubbing, Rolling, Stepping, Swing, Tumbling and Filtration that removes the tough stains and reduces fabric damage. The 6 Motion Direct Drive technology moves the wash drum in multiple directions, giving fabrics the proper care while getting clothes ultra clean. The LG front load washing machine can detect fabric weight similar to other washing machines featuring Artificial Intelligent Direct Drive. The AI DD not only detects the weight, but also senses the softness of fabric, and chooses the optimal motions for the fabric by itself and applies settings based on the volume and delicateness of the garments in each load of laundry to deliver the most optimized washing cycle. In addition to this, the machine operates on silent operation and comes with a standard 10-year warranty on its motor parts. The LG washing machine operated on Wifi giving one access to control the machine from anywhere and anytime, creating an integrated experience for its user. The LG ThinQ app is available on both Android and iOS. The washer also includes TurboWash 360 that uses powerful jets to surround clothes from multiple angles so the detergent can penetrate deep into fabrics for a complete clean – even for big loads – in under 59 minutes. Whereas the 3D Multi Spray shoots jets of water in five different directions simultaneously to quickly break down tough stains. As per the company, the 2KG laundry can be washed on just 59 mins instead of the standard 2-hour time.
