Instead of a flip mechanism, Asus Zenfone 8 has gone with a fixed dual camera set up that includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 ultra-wide-angle camera with Dual PDAF that also supports 4cm macro photography. Upfront there is a 12-megapixel selfie camera housed inside a punch hole cut out at the left side corner of the display. It should be noted that the company has not compromised with the features here; the camera set up here has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) which Flip lacked.
Unlike its sibling, the device includes an audio jack at the top, two linear speakers fine-tuned by Dirac HD sound technology with dual Cirrus Logic mono amps and Hi-Res Audio. In addition to this, there is an Audio Wizard app to customise the equaliser. The phone supports 30W HyperCharge with a 4,000mAh battery.
