Acer launched refresh models of Predator and Nitro Gaming Monitors with high refresh rates

The Taiwan-based electronics major, Acer, has announced the launch of its new Predator and Nitro gaming monitors globally. The company has introduced three gaming monitors that include Predator XB273U NX, Predator XB323QK NV and Acer Nitro XV282K KV all the features required for gaming to other professional needs. The latter two monitors are TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certified while the earlier one comes with a WQHD panel.

Designed to appeal to the most power-hungry gamers, our Predator gaming monitors have proven their quality and reliability as a top choice of pro-gamers as well as those who just want to have fun. The new Predator and Acer Nitro monitors are available in a variety of designs and sizes to support just about anyone in the market for a gaming monitor.”

Starting with the new Acer Predator XB273U NX gaming monitor, it features a 27-inch wide quad high definition (WQHD) panel with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 and a rapid 275 Hz refresh rate (overclocked). Moreover, it offers a and up to a 0.5 ms response time that helps in delivering smooth and tear-free visuals even when fast-moving objects race across the screen. In addition to this, it has an NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer for pro gamers too which is a system latency measurement tool that detects clicks coming from the mouse and then measures the time it takes for the resulting pixels to change on the screen.

The display is HDR supported and it offers 95% of the DCI-P3 spectrum for vibrant colours and deeper blacks. Also, the screen is further enhanced with the company’s own Agile-Splendor IPS technology for clear images.

The Predator XB323QK NV gaming monitor by Acer is a 31.5-inch NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible UHD screen. It offers 3840 x 2160 pixels of resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals with the vibrant range of colors offered by the monitor’s DCI-P3 90% Wide Color Gamut. This Acer monitor also includes Agile Splendor IPS and a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification too.

According to the company both the Predator gaming monitors also come with Acer VisionCare 4.0 that keeps the user’s eyes safe during longer gaming sessions and tournaments. Additionally, both the monitors are among the first monitors in the world to be TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certified. Whereas Acer’s ErgoStand allows the users to adjust their monitor’s swivel, pivot, tilt and height.

Acer Nitro XV282K KV gaming monitor 

This monitor is compatible with the latest gaming console and has a 4K UHD IPS display with 3840 x 2160 pixels of resolution. It features a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio and covers 90% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut. The panel is also supported by AMD FreeSync Premium technology along with a higher refresh rate of 144Hz and a 1 ms response time for speedy frame rendering. Moreover, there is Acer HDR 400 and liquid crystal IPS for increased image quality while VisionCare 3.0 reduces eye strain.

Acer Nitro XV282K KV gaming monitor 

The Acer Nitro XV282K KV includes HDMI 2.1 that makes it compatible with the latest gaming consoles at 4K UHD 120 Hz with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). The monitor has also achieved TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification and features Acer’s new Agile-Splendor IPS technology to deliver clear images, even at wide viewing angles.

Pricing

The price of the Predator XB273U NX monitor has been set at USD 1,099.99 for North America and in EMEA it can be purchased at EUR 1,179.00 and will be available in both the regions starting in May. Whereas in China it will be available in March starting at RMB 7,999.

Whereas the Predator XB323QK NV monitor in North America will be available in May starting at USD 1,199.99. In EMEA it will be available in May starting at EUR 1,199.00 and in China in March, starting at RMB 8,999.

On the other hand, the Nitro XV282K KV monitor will be available in North America in May starting at USD 899.99; in EMEA in May starting at EUR 949.00; and in China in February, starting at RMB 6,999.

The South Korean smartphone company Samsung has officially introduced its first budget offering that is priced under Rs 10,000. The Samsung Galaxy M02s has made its way to the Indian market just after it was launched in Nepal last week. The device comes with similar specs and it includes a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. In addition to this, there is a Snapdragon 450 chipset along with a triple rear camera set up.

Samsung Galaxy M02s has been introduced in India in two different configurations of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage at Rs 8,999 while the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage is priced at Rs 9,999. Both the variants will be available in two colour options of Black, Blue, and Red. The company is yet to announce the sale details of the smartphone but whenever it goes on sale it will be available via Amazon, Smasung.com as well as other offline retailers in the country.

Samsung Galaxy M02s tech specifications

Samsung Galaxy M02s comes with a 6.5-inch TFT waterdrop-style notch display. It comes with a resolution of 720×1,560 pixels. The device runs on Samsung One UI based on top of Android 10 and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It will be offered with up to 4GB of RAM with a 64GB of storage option that can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

In terms of imaging, Samsung Galaxy M02s features a triple rear camera set up that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor. In addition to this, there is a 2-megapixel depth sensor and another 2-megapixel tertiary lens for macro photography. While on the front you get a 5-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies. The camera app also includes camera modes such as ISO control, auto flash, digital zoom and others.

On the battery front, the newly launched smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery which comes with 15W quick charge support.

The Unpacked events by Samsung are by far one of the most sought after and looked forward to events of the year when it comes to Android devices. Samsung is the global market leader in Android devices and their first launch of the year 2021 is going to be Samsung S21 series, the worthy upgrade to last years S20 series. The series is going to have multiple phones in the kitty, including S21+ and S21 Ultra.

The line-up is slated to launch on Jan 14th globally and right before its launch, the prices of the series have been leaked. The price leak happened accidentally on the Belgian Carrier website, which was probably testing out the pages live, but was swiftly removed from the website in minutes. However, people with hawk eyes did grab the screen and were able to capture some details too. These were spread out on Twitter.

Samsung Galaxy S21 series leaked prices

According to the Belgian carrier website, the base variant of the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be priced at Euro 849 (Rs 76,400 roughly), which comes with 128GB storage. Samsung Galaxy S21+ that has 128GB will come with a price tag of Euro 1,049 (Rs 94,200 roughly) and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra was listed for Euro 1,399 (Rs 1,26,000 roughly).

Samsung S21 series leaked tech specs

With the price, technical specifications of the smartphones were also leaked. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with a 6.8-inch touchscreen and largest battery of the three – 5,000 mAh. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S21+ will sport a 6.7-inch touchscreen with FHD+ resolution. The device will be powered by Exynos 2100, which incidentally will be launched in India as well. 8GB of RAM is what each phone will get with Android 11 with Samsung One UI 2.5.

On the camera front, Samsung Galaxy S21+ will have 64MP telephoto sensor at the back. With two 12MP sensors for depth and ultra-wide-angle shots. The battery on the Samsung Galaxy S21+ will be of 4,800 mAh. Surprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is also going to get the same camera sensors as shown on the Belgian carrier website of 64MP on the rear, which is a bit of shocker as reports suggest the S21 Ultra will be fetching 108MP rear sensor. Well, that could have been an error on the part of the website. We will get the clarity on the 14th Jan 2021 event.

Redmi Note 9T specification, images and features have surfaced on the web several times. The device has also been spotted on Geekbench as well as NBTC listings too. But this time the Xiaomi smartphone’s full specifications have leaked while the company has announced the launch date for the mobile phone. The launch of the smartphone has been set for January 8 and has been confirmed through its social media accounts. The device is said to be a rebranded variant of Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched in China.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T is ready to launch in the European market on January 8. The launch event will kickstart at 1 pm GMT+1 and 5:30 pm as per Indian timings. The event will be live-streamed via the company’s official YouTube Channel as well as its social media accounts.

Redmi has not shared any other information other than the launch date. But the device has been leaked through Amazon Germany listing which suggests that Redmi Note 9T will be available in two different configurations of 4GB RAM with 64GB storage priced at EUR 229.90 that translates to Rs 20,700 while the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model is listed at EUR 269.90 that translates to Rs 24,300. According to the listing, it will be available in two colour options Nightfall Black and Daybreak Purple.

Speaking of the specifications, the listing revealed that Redmi Note 9T will feature a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display. The screen will have 90Hz refresh rate support. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC in addition to a 5,000 mah battery and NFC support. Whereas the triple rear camera may include a 48-megapixel primary sensor.

Although all the key specifications have been revealed through the listing which is quite similar to Redmi Note 9 5G that launched in China. If this information is to be believed then other than the primary sensor other camera sensors will include an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies, it might feature a 13-megapixel front facing camera.

OnePlus Fitness Band will soon make its first debut in India. However, it has been tipped many times that the device will initially launch in India before any other market. In a new development, according to a tipster, the first wearable device by the Chinese company is now tipped to launch in the country on January 11. The device is also said to come under the budget segment and will give a tough fight to the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band series.

OnePlus took to Twitter to share its first teaser of the fitness band with does not confirm the official name of the wearable but says Coming Soon. Also now specification has been revealed until now but a dedicated page for the OnePlus fitness band has been launched via the Indian website. The microsite includes a Notify e button along with a Pursuit of Fitness quiz allowing consumers a chance to win the fitness band.

Apart from this, the fitness tracker has also been listed on Amazon suggesting its availability. The listing on the e-commerce website also highlights the dedicated app for the OnePlus Band which shows that the fitness band will include a sleep monitor.

In the meanwhile tipster, Mukula Sharma has shared on Twitter that the upcoming device by OnePlsu is expected to get launch on January 11 and could be [riced around Rs 2,499. In addition to this, he has also shared some images of the OnePlus Band which is said to be available in three colour options- Black, Navy, and Tangerine Grey.

He also shared a video that has revealed all the important specs of the upcoming device. As per the video, the wearable will be featuring a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch display. The OnePlus Fitness Band will be including health monitoring features such as 24×7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 blood saturation monitoring in addition to other sensors like a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope. The fitness tracker will have support for Bluetooth 5.0 along with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance along with fitness tracking features. In what is being regarded as a landmark deal for the direct-to-consumer (D2C) industry in India, home-grown Indian brand boAt has raised approximately $100 million from an affiliate of Warburg Pincus that is a global private equity fund focused on growth investing.

With a rapidly emerging presence in adjacent consumer-focused, lifestyle electronics categories, the company claims that boAt is the number one brand in personal audio in India (headphones, earphones, sound-related accessories). Its product portfolio offers well-designed, distinctive products at attractive price points. boAt continues to achieve more than 100 percent rapid revenue growth and exhibits a strong profitability profile.

Welcoming Warburg Pincus as a new investor into the company, Aman Gupta, Co-Founder, boAt said, “This is a vote of confidence for our business model and growth prospects. The investment is great news for not only the company but for the entire D2C sector. The investment has come at the right time as we make efforts to ramp up our manufacturing and global supply chain.”

Furthermore, boAt claims that it has also emerged as the 5th largest wearable brand globally, according to IDC data. The company also stated investment by Warburg Pincus will enable the company to further fortify its leading market position, widen its R&D capabilities and product portfolio, and build on boAt’s efforts to create and support a manufacturing ecosystem under the Make-in-India initiative, enabling the manufacture of products in India.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G confirmed to launch in India on January 18

After being spotted on the BIS certification website which suggested an imminent launch of Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G in India the company has officially confirmed to launch the device in the country now. The device is set to launch in India on January 18. To recall the smartphone was launched in China last month and is a follow-up of Oppo Reno 4 Pro. However in China, the company has introduced three models- Oppo Reno 5 5G, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G, and Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G but here the company is only launching the Pro variant.

Oppo has officially made an announcement on Twitter that Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G will be launching in India on January 18. The launch event will be held virtually and kick start at 12.30 noon. The company has not yet shared the pricing nor its availability details. In addition to this, a dedicated page has also gone live showcasing the key highlights of the upcoming smartphone.

To recall it was launched in China in December in two variants of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at CNY 3,399 that translates to Rs 38,200. While the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model comes at CNY 3,799 that translates to Rs 42,700. The smartphone is available in three colour options of Aurora Blue, Moonlight Night, and Starry Night.

As for specifications, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G will be featuring a 6.55-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and 90Hz of refresh rate. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The device runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top. Its is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with ARM G77 MC9 GPU for graphics and will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage options.

In terms of imaging, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. Further assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The device sports a 32-megapixel selfie sensor on the front display.

There is a 4,350mAh battery on the phone with 65W fast charging support. For connectivity, the device includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. While the sensors onboard include a geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gravity sensor and gyroscope.

In addition to this, there is a 2-megapixel depth sensor and another 2-megapixel tertiary lens for macro photography. While on the front you get a 5-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies. The camera app also includes camera modes such as ISO control, auto flash, digital zoom and others.

In order to understand and respond to more than 35 Hinglish commands to control various in-car functions, the MG Hector 2021 will come with industry first Hinglish voice commands. The SUV will have commands such as such as “FM Chalao”, “Temperature Kam kar do” and many more.

According to the company, “The MG Hector 2021 will be available in an array of options – single tone (black) interior, dual-tone interior, dual tone-exterior too. Hector 2021 to get wireless charging, front ventilated seats (First-in-Segment). Hector 2021 also gets the option of a dual-tone beige and black interior to give the cabin a further airy and premium feel.”

The Hector is powered by iSMART technology from MG Motor, that comes with an embedded connectivity solution, navigation services and has support for a voice assistant. It also has pre-loaded infotainment content, emergency services, and some pre-installed apps.

The Hector is the only car in the world to come with support for Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. He further said that the car will come with several ‘industry-first’ features that are specifically meant for Internet-enabled cars, said Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director of MG Motor India.

In line with Tesla, MG Hector comes with a 10.4-inch head unit that will be a touch screen that is the biggest in the Indian automobiles market yet. It is worth adding that the display will come with a vertical interface that will enable the driver to control the entire car system with just a voice command at just a few taps. For entertainment, the car will come with pre-loaded content that will include some videos, Gaana app and Accuweather.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the connectivity mobility on The Hector – Internet Protocol Version 6 – which has support for 5G connectivity. With this, customers will be able to download the OTA software updates without any delay. However, there will also be options of scheduling them for later, much as we do in smartphones.

With an embedded SIM card and OTA, the MG Hector promises to do a lot more over time with constantly-expanding capabilities, to create a seamless driving experience, throughout the life of the car. Furthermore, with the advent of 5G connectivity in India, MG cars will have the potential to add new, breakthrough features to further enrich the car driving experience.”

The car also has support for an AI-based voice assistant that works on the cloud. The assistant is developed by Nuance for MG India and it has been designed particularly for Indian accent. We must add that with AI and Machine Learning, the systems in the car will get better with usage. We should also mention that another feature of the car is a pre-embedded navigation app from TomTom.

The Chinese smartphone company OnePlus has today announced the launch of its web-based game AK vs AK. The OnePlus game is co-created by Fnatic and highlights the key features of the popular OnePlus 8T 5G through interesting game character integrations.

The newly launched web-based game, AK vs AK: Stop at Nothing game by OnePlus is designed for both mobile and web, the game brings alive the distinctive retro-style gaming experience of the trending Netflix film – AK vs AK. Samsung tipped to launch Galaxy M02s in India on January 7

Samsung Galaxy M02s has been officially set to launch on January 7 in India. The device is tipped to be priced under Rs 10,000. Just before the official announcement a tipster also shared the poster of the upcoming device via Twitter. Apart from the name of the smartphone and expected pricing the company did not reveal much about the smartphone.

Samsung has confirmed that Samsung Galaxy M02s is going to launch in India on January 7 and will be priced under Rs 10,000. The company’s upcoming budget smartphone will launch a 1 PM as per Indian Standard Time. While announcing its next budget smartphone Samsung said, “is all set to launch the ‘Max Up’ Galaxy M02s this month. Galaxy M02s, Samsung’s latest smartphone in the popular Galaxy M Series, is an all-rounder that will deliver max display and max performance at an affordable price.”

Apart from this, the dedicated microsite for the smartphone has also gone live which shows a video teaser of Galaxy M02s. The microsite has only revealed the front of the budget smartphone with a U-shaped notch housing a selfie camera. As per the company, the device will come with power-packed features including a big 6.5-inch screen with HD+ Infinity V Display, which will ensure an uninterrupted and immersive viewing experience.

In addition to this, the South Korean company also confirmed that Samsung Galaxy M02s will be powered by a Snapdragon processor and will come with 4GB RAM to ensure enhanced performance, smooth multi-tasking, seamless app navigation and uninterrupted gaming.

This is for the first time Samsung will be offering a Galaxy smartphone with 4GB RAM and will be priced below Rs 10000 in India. Moreover, there will be a massive 5000mAh battery on the mobile phone to fuel it up and is claimed to last for a whole day without having to worry about frequent charging. The Galaxy M02s will also be touted to offer the best streaming, gaming, photography and browsing experience.

As per the microsite, the phone shows thick bezels on the sides with a thicker chin area. Whereas the power and volume buttons can be seen on the right side of the frame.

Xiaomi Mi 10i will be launching in India today. The company’s upcoming smartphone is going to be a rebranded variant of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G which has been unveiled in China last month and is now set to make its debut later today via an online-only launch event in the country. Whereas the dedicated microsite of the phone has already gone live on Amazon India website which has revealed few key details.

Xiaomi Mi 10i launch event is scheduled to launch today. The launch event of the device will kickstart at 12 noon onwards and will be live-streamed via the company’s official YouTube channel including its social media accounts. We have embedded the link below for your convenience.

After the official launch in the country, Mi 10i will be made available via Amazon including Mi.com and Mi stores soon. Before the Mi 10T launch, teased that the device will be available in Pacific Sunrise, Aqualite Blue and Midnight Black colour options. Although the pricing of the upcoming smartphone has not been revealed but it will fall under Rs 30k price segment in the country.

Xiaomi Mi 10i expected technical specifications

Xiaomi has not yet revealed the specification of the Mi 10i but rumours suggest that it will be a rebadged version of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G which launched in China. If rumours are to be believed then only the branding will change while the rest of the specs will remain unchanged. The Mi 10i is supposed to feature a 6.67-inch full-HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 250Hz touch sampling rate. The device is going to be powered by Snapdragon 750G SoC paired with Adreno 619 graphics processor. The device is suggested to be made available in a 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and more options including 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage that is available in China. As the device has a dedicated sim slot that will allow you to expand the storage to 512GB.

In addition to this, the phone is likely to sport a quad rear camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor along with a Super Night Scene 2.0 mode. Upfront there is a 16-megapixel selfie sensor.

Mi 10i will be housing a 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and is IP53 rated for water and dust resistance. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with dual stereo speakers. It should include a 5G, Bluetooth v5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g, NFC, USB Type-C port, and an audio jack. The sensors on the phone will include ambient light, acceleration sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, rear light sensor, ultrasonic distance sensor among others.
