With the large keyboard users also get a big trackpad. This is very comfortable to use and responds well to every click, swipe and tap. Since it is a ROG laptop, the trackpad does not double up as the NUM Pad, which is the case with the ZenBook series from Asus.
Moving to its display, Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2022 laptop comes with a 14-inch FHD+ WUXGA screen with anti-glare finish on top. It has a refresh rate of 144Hz and a 3ms response time, which is common among the latest laptops. But what is not common is the Dolby Vision HDR support that is there in this machine.
We spent long hours with the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2022 laptop, watching movies on Netflix and shows on Amazon Prime. We played games like PUBG, DOTA 2, CS: GO and more and not once did it give us a chance to feel that the colours are out of place. The blacks are deep and the display does perfect justice to any type of video scenario. Video modes can also be controlled using the Armour Crate software.

Asus has also put an HD Web Cam on the laptop, which is a welcomed change. As for the ports, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2022 gaming notebook comes with two USB 3.2, two USB Type-C gen 2, one HDMI, one audio/mic combo and a MicroSD card reader located on the left and right sides.
Over that, the machine also sports quad speakers. Two are upward-firing speakers located just above the keyboard and two are downward-firing speakers that are located at the front bottom. These are tuned by Dolby Atmos and the sound is very very good with them. We would not be wrong if we call them twice as loud over the last generation of G14 by Asus.
Together, the machine can put some of the best gaming computers shy away in shame. Asus has managed to put so much firepower in such a small form factor. To put it to the ultimate test we played Battlefield 2042 on the machine at the highest settings and to our amazement, it performed just right. There was hardly any frame drop and we got consistent 60-70 frames per second.

As for cooling, Asus has taken special care here. The company has put in a twin cooling fan with a larger vapour chamber that tries to keep the laptop as cool as possible. They have even used liquid metal on top of the chips. This does keep the heat less, but still at times after a long duration of gaming, the laptop does get warm. So, best to game on it in lower temperatures or when the air con is on when you want to game for a long time.
For ergonomics, the ergo lift hinge makes an appearance in the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2022 laptop as well. This is great if you want to type or game. Over that, the display can swivel back 180 degrees. A 76WHrs 4 cell Li-Ion battery has been installed in this gaming laptop, which does manage to keep it alive for over 4.5 hours when you are not gaming. But the battery life drops down to under 1.5 hours when gaming.
But hey, most of us will not be gaming on it without using the power supply (240W). Which, can fast charge it to 50% in under 30 minutes. On the flip side, this machine is very luggable at just 1.72Kg. Many would just want to pick it up as a work cum gaming buddy on the fly. For the OS needs, Windows 11 Home edition is what users will get. We were hoping to see the Pro version in it. Also in the box, you get a nice ZIP pouch to carry it around. And lastly, it is available in two colours – white or black. You can pick the one you like the best.

The Poco F4 lacks a headphone jack, but the business offers a 3.5 headphone dongle in the box. Along with a volume rocker, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor is integrated inside the power button. The fingerprint sensor functions properly. But considering its cost, we would have appreciated an in-display sensor. We also observed that the vibration strength was somewhat skimpy.
The 6.67-inch full-HD+ E4 AMOLED screen on the Poco F4 5G stands out thanks to its 1,080 x 2,400-pixel resolution. In order to reduce response latency, the screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. 1,300 nit maximum screen brightness, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR10+ on Amazon Prime Video, Dolby Vision support on Netflix, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection is also included with the panel.
In addition to the design, the Poco F4’s display is another feature we particularly enjoyed. The contrast is excellent, the colours are vibrant, and the touch sensitivity is excellent. Even outside in the direct sun, we have not experienced any problems with brightness levels. While the auto brightness sensor performs excellently, the display is also loaded with many features.
As we’ve already mentioned, the E4 panel is supported by MEMC. (For those who don’t know, MEMC is a feature that artificially increases the overall number of frames in a scene, making the content you’re seeing look smooth. It does this by artificially adding frames in the middle of two other frames.)
We had a terrific time using this phone to listen to music because of its dual speakers, which sound great. It is a really pleasant experience to watch content on this screen because they are loud, the voices are clear, and there is no distortion at the greatest volume.
Almost all difficult tasks can be handled with Poco F4 without any problems. Call of Duty plays without a hitch at mid-high settings, and even playing graphically demanding games is not a problem. The phone does become warm, but that is not much of a problem because it comes with a new vapour chamber that is doing a pretty good job here. So our gaming sessions with the Poco F4 were top-notch.
The Poco F4’s operating system is Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top. We occasionally experienced UI stutters while using it, but nothing that can be called as a con.
The smartphone has three back cameras. First with a 64-megapixel main sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS), and an f/1.8 aperture. The camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies and video calls, it also boasts a 20-megapixel front camera sensor with an f/2.4 lens.
OIS enables the 64-megapixel primary sensor to produce extremely sharp photos. With adequate lighting, this phone can produce some great quality images. The Poco F4’s output will satisfy you if you prefer images with good contrast.
Portraits taken with a phone are very Instagram-worthy. Nonetheless, the human subject does appear to have been slightly smoothened in some shots. Overall, you will generally receive great pics.
Although the ultra-wide images have not particularly pleased us. The prevalent colour reproductions and detail levels are just about ok, and we did note some distortion at the corners.
Given its pricing and the bracket it is in, its selfies are could have been better. They appear a little too dull and overly smoothed in our opinion. Hope the next software update will take care of this.
Poco F4 does not let down in terms of videography. The primary lens can capture video up to 4K@60 frames per second. Despite the fact that the videos are of decent quality, they are not particularly stable. Therefore, if you like results that are more stable, we advise switching to 4K 30FPS or 1080p resolution. Here the results are much-much better.
As for the battery life, we found it to be quite decent. We were able to acquire a bit more than 5 hours of screen on time, which is above normal for a 5,400mah battery phone. The 67W fast charger that is included in the box allows the phone to charge in about 50 minutes. Which is a brilliant thing to have, as some of its competitors are omitting the charger and you have to buy them separately, but not with Poco.

Instagram is experimenting with allowing users to mark multiple posts in Explore as Not Interested. Those posts will be immediately removed, and similar content won’t be displayed to you in the future.
Additionally, Instagram will soon begin testing a feature that will allow users to notify the social media site they do not want to see suggested photos with specific words, phrases, or emojis in the caption or hashtags. You can use this tool to stop seeing stuff that doesn’t interest you, whether you’re seeing something that’s irrelevant or have grown disinterested in something you used to appreciate.
How to Access Favourites and Following
You’ll notice a user’s posts appear more frequently and higher when you add them to your Favourites. Additionally, you may view a separate feed for each of your favourites to keep up with just their posts.
You will only view posts in chronological order from the accounts you follow when using Following. This view does not include any suggested posts, but you can see the posts from the last 30 days to catch up on anything you might have missed.
By tapping the Instagram logo in your feed, you may access Favourites and Following.
How to use the Not Interested Control
By tapping Not Interested, the post will be immediately removed from your feed and fewer posts similar to it will be recommended in the future. Tap the X in the top right corner of the post if it doesn’t interest you. As an alternative, you can tap on Not Interested from the three-dot menu.
How to Snooze Suggested Posts
You can easily snooze suggested posts for 30 days if you want to take a break from them. Tap the X in the top right corner, then select Snooze all suggested posts for 30 days, to snooze suggested posts.
Adjust Your Sensitive Content Control
Instagram restricts hate speech, bullying and other content that might present a risk of harm to people on its platform. You might come across something, though it doesn’t violate the guidelines, that some people might find disturbing. So you may choose to stick with the current settings or change the Sensitive Material Control to see more or less of specific sensitive content types. Go to your profile, press the Settings menu, select Account, and then tap Sensitive Content Control to examine your sensitive content controls.
