MG Motor India teamed up with Reliance Jio to offer IoT connectivity in its upcoming mid-size SUV
MG Motor India today announced its collaboration with Reliance Jio in the Internet of Things (IoT) space. With this partnership, MG Motor India will provide seamless integration of IT systems enabled by Jio’s IoT solution in its upcoming mid-size SUV.
Commenting on the association, Rajeev Chaba, President & Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, “Technology and innovation are leading the connected car space in the automobile industry. The current trend focuses increasingly on software-driven devices and our current partnership with a tech-innovator like Jio in the IoT space is a step towards establishing MG Motor as a tech leader in the automobile industry.” He further added, “This partnership will ensure our next mid-sized connected SUV further simplifies the driving experience and ensures safety backed by technology.”
To recall, MG Motor has previously worked with Airtel to introduce its first internet SUV, the MG Hector in the Indian automobile industry. The software-driven car comes with Airtel IoT, i-SMART Technology and 60 other connected car features. But the latest partnership with Jio will provide seamless integration of IT systems enabled by Jio’s IoT solution in its upcoming mid-size SUV. The association will enable robust new-age mobility solutions, underlining the marquee carmaker’s zeal to build futuristic mobility applications and facilitate magical experiences.
Reportedly India’s IoT market is most likely to see a growth at a CAGR of 8.8% in the CY2020-23. As of now, Airtel is leading India’s IoT market with over 45.5% share.
Jio is also said to support automotive solutions designed to deliver an array of consumer and enterprise services. Customers of MG’s upcoming mid-size SUV will benefit from Jio’s widespread internet outreach, along with the highest quality connectivity, not only in metros but also in small towns and rural areas.
According to the automobile company, Jio’s new-age connected vehicle solution is a combination of hardware, software and connectivity that will enable users to access trending infotainment and real-time telematics on the go as it brings the benefits of digital life to a vehicle and to people on the move.

You may not be allowed to sign in on your Android devices that came out over a decade ago, from September 27
According to the latest update by Google, the devices running Android 2.3.7 or lower will no longer be able to sign in on their Android devices. From September 27 onwards if you have an old smartphone you may get an error message for user name or password when you try to log in to Google services such as Gmail, YouTube, Maps and other products.
Android 2.3 Gingerbread was rolled out in December a decade ago and if your device is still running on this operating system then you would not be able to sign in from devices with Android 2.3.7 or older. This is the company’s effort to keep the user protected. After September 27 when they try to sign on Google products or services such as Gmail, YouTube and Maps they are likely to get a username or password error.
“As part of our ongoing efforts to keep our users safe, Google will no longer allow sign-in on Android devices that run Android 2.3.7 or lower starting September 27, 2021. If you sign in to your device after September 27, you may get username or password errors when you try to use Google products and services like Gmail, YouTube, and Maps,” the company stated.
So, in this case, you have the option to update to a newer Android version (3.0+) as advised to do so in order to maintain access to Google apps and services on that device. If this is not possible then you should either upgrade to a new device. The third option is you can log into your Google account on your device’s web browser. You can still use some Google services when logged into Google on your device’s web browser.
In order to access your Google Account and email on your device using a web browser, open your phone’s browser app. Go to myaccount.google.com. Or Go to mail.google.com.Then enter your username and password.
According to Google, when support ends for sign-in with a Google Account on Android 2.3.7 and below, you will receive a username or password error if you try to sign in to your devices or to add an email or calendar account. The following cases can also lead to this error if you:
- Perform a factory reset of your device and try to sign in.
- Change your password either on the device or on a different device, which then signs you out everywhere else. When you try to sign in again, you will receive an error message.
- Remove your account from your device and re-add it.
- Create an account on the device.

Earlier Google explicitly never confirmed the existence of a custom Tensor processor nor about the upcoming Pixel 6 devices. But now the company has given an early look at Google Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6 but has also shared the details of the custom-developed Google Tensor chip.
The Google Tensor processor is the company’s latest SoC that was in process for quite some time now. This is claimed to provide a whole new camera, speech recognition and other new experiences. As per the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai the company took about 4 years to develop the chip and will be shipped on the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro during the fall. He has also shared the exclusive images of the flagship device and trusts the handset can take the market by its storm. The device looks so posh and new that we would love to get our hands on it. But considering the lavish design, the phones are surely going to cost many sums of money.
Also, the design is similar to what we have seen in the past leaks. Shedding more light upon the new Tensor chipset which is Google’s first custom-built SoC specifically designed for Pixel phones, and it will power the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro later this fall.
Like we mentioned the Pixel series will arrive this fall and the company will share more details at the launch like new features, technical specs and pricing and availability. But prior to the launch, the company has given an exclusive preview of the devices.
According to Google, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will combine the same beautiful aesthetic across software and hardware with Android 12, to the new Tensor SoC. For a better photography experience, the rear camera set-up has been upgraded with improved sensors and lenses are now too big to fit into the traditional square — so the new design gives the whole camera system a new home with the camera bar.
In terms of design and built Google has used new materials and finishes such as the Pro’s light polished aluminium frame, and the 6’s matte aluminium finish. And yes both the phones will come with Android 12 out of the box.
Now about the new custom-developed Google Tensor chip most of its features are powered by AI and ML. The processor has been designed in such a manner to make Pixel even more capable. As per the company, the new silicon will bring entirely new features, plus improvements to existing ones. It will make the Google Phones capable of providing a more personalised experience along with Tensor’s new security core and Titan M2, Pixel 6 will have the most layers of hardware security in any phone.
“You’ll see this in everything from the completely revamped camera system to speech recognition and much more. So whether you’re trying to capture that family photo when your kids won’t stand still or communicate with a relative in another language, Pixel will be there — and it will be more helpful than ever. We look forward to sharing more about Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro later this year,” the company stated.

Tecno Pova 2 with a massive 7,000mAh battery launched in India
Transsion holding smartphone brand, Tecno Mobile, today introduced a new smartphone in the Indian market. The company has launched Tecno Pova 2 as the second edition of the Pova smartphone that was launched in India last year. The handset is offered under Rs 15,000 price segment. It comes with a massive 7,000mAh battery. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with a Mali G52 GPU. In addition to this, the phone includes a 48-megapixel quad rear camera set up.
In addition to this Tecno Pova 2 comprises a quad rear camera set up that includes a 48-megapixel primary AI sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. It also houses a 2-megapixel macro sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an unnamed fourth sensor. Infinix Smart 5A is the latest smartphone to be launched by the Transsion group holdings brand in India today. The device comes with a 5,000mAh battery and a 6.52-inch HD+ drop notch display. The phone also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and will be available in distinct colour options.

Infinix Smart 5A has been launched in India as the latest budget-friendly smartphone. The handset is priced at Rs 6,499 for the 2GB RAM with a 32GB storage variant. The device can be purchased via the e-commerce website Flipkart. The sale is scheduled to begin from August 9 onward and the retailer has also revealed the special cashback offer for Jio users. The existing Jio subscriber can get Rs 550 off on the purchase of the smartphone. Users will also be able to apply for the JioExclusive Program via the MyJio app. But to avail of this offer, they are required to check if the device is eligible for the program or not. Once confirmed they can add details of their UPI wallet and get the cashback credited to his bank account. The mobile phone can be purchased in three colour options of Ocean Wave, Midnight Black and Quetzal Cyan.

Currently, the market is flooded with so many brands offering true wireless earphones ranging from Rs 1,500 and going up to Rs 15,000. Sony, Samsung, Apple and OnePlus are the biggest players in the premium range category. Whereas Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, LG and others are contending in the affordable to mid-range segment.
Now there is a new entrant, AIWA is a Japanese consumer electronics brand that has re-entered India with the launch of 5 audio devices ranging from Rs 699 to Rs 7,999. We have reviewed the AIWA AT-X80E TWS earphones that are priced at Rs 1,799. Let’s find out how well these performed and the features it offers. Here is our review.
The casing of the earphones is oval in shape, which has the company branding along with the model number on the top, whereas the lower side shows some details related to the charging capacity of the earbuds as well as the charging case. The micro USB port is given just below the hinge that fastens the edges of the casing. It has a magnetic casing. There is a small display between the two earphones that shows the battery percentage of the case. Both the buds contain LED indicators and as said, come with a plastic build.
There are physical buttons as well as inbuilt volume controls on both earbuds. The ear tips have mesh layering to protect them against dust. So no complaints from the build quality given the price point they are in.
In terms of battery capacity, each bus equips a 38mAh battery, whereas the charging case comes with 200mAh inbuilt battery. According to the company, when these earphones are fully charged the earbuds deliver 6 to 8 hours of music time. However, during our testing, AIWA AT-X80E TWS earphones could only deliver 3 hours of music time at 100 percent volume level, which is on the lower side.
The charging case is capable enough to charge the earphones three to four times over. AIWA claims that the TWS earphones can offer 24 to 30 hours of total music time. Unfortunately, the device is bundled with a micro-USB charging cable instead of Type-C support, which is its biggest drawback in today’s time. Also, it doesn’t support fast charging. In 10 minutes of charging it offers 26 minutes of music playback whereas these buds along with the casing take about 1.5 hours to get fully charged.
Coming to the most important aspect of AIWA AT-X80E TWS earphones is their sound quality. The earphones come equipped with 8mm drivers that offer a good sound quality. But if you are a rock music lover then these earphones are not recommended because they lack a bit of thump, which one wants. Otherwise, for daily use, the bass, treble and vocal were above average and the device is loud enough. There is no touch support instead the earbuds come with physical buttons to access calls, volume and more.
The second most important department is the mic quality, AIWA AT-X80E TWS earphones have a single mic. The audio quality is just fine in a quiet room environment, but when you are outdoors the environment noise will be the first to reach the listener. Though the earbuds are lightweight, the design is not super comfortable as we felt these are slipping out of the ears.
