With the XR 4K upscaling technology the Sony Bravia XR OLED A80L allows you to experience entertainment that is close to 4K resolution. Zone division and dynamic frame analysis are used by XR Clear image and the Cognitive Processor XR, which reduces blur by identifying and cross-analyzing important visual features over the course of several frames. The XR Triluminos Pro can access over a billion different colours and reproduce each one with subtle differences. It can detect colour from saturation, hue, and brightness to offer natural hues. Television viewing from the sides is now just as enjoyable as from the centre thanks to X-Wide Angle.
One can also download 10,000+apps, see 700,000+ movies and TV episodes, plus live TV on the Bravia A80L. Customers can easily find something to watch with personalized recommendations and bookmark shows and movies by adding a watchlist from their phone or laptop with Google Search. It switches back to the standard mode when watching movies for more expressive scenes. There is an easy-to-use Game Menu where gamers can tailor their settings to their preferences, such as turning on or off VRR or Motion Blur Reduction with quick access.
The rise of e-commerce websites in India has been quite dramatic in the last few years, largely due to the increasing Internet connectivity among the public. Flipkart and Amazon are two of the biggest e-commerce websites operating in a domain where small, independent sellers are barely visible. To break down this duopoly, the Government of India launched ONDC in April 2022.
As the name suggests, ONDC is an open network where small sellers will share the platform with the bigwigs like Amazon and Flipkart. The network itself is open-source and, like UPI, can be accessed through multiple apps. Users can buy products & groceries and even avail of services like food delivery, ticket booking, logistics, and more. Once you search for a particular product on ONDC, you will be able to browse through different sellers with that product.
A common platform for all sellers works in the favour of small players who get exposure to a wide audience. Since ONDC is an open portal, there are different apps for buyers and sellers. Buyers can use apps like MyStore, Craftsvilla, Magicpin, and even PayTm to purchase goods and services using ONDC. Sellers and traders can use apps like eSamudaay, uEngage, and EnStore to list themselves on the network and work out the logistics.
Current stakeholders in ONDC include banks like HDFC, SBI, Kotak Mahindra, Axis, PNB, and BSE. Paytm, Dunzo, and Ekart are also a part of the network. ONDC has secured investments of up to Rs 2.5 billion from over 20 organisations. Buyers join ONDC by filling out the Network Participation Profile Form here.

Sennheiser hasn’t made any radical changes to the design of the HD 660S2. At a cursory glance, you may not even register all the minor details. The headphones retain the open-back design, with the plastic mesh grille giving a peek inside the earcups. Having an open-back design also means that the surrounding noise will seep inside the earcups and the audio output from the drivers will be audible to anyone within a close distance. The open-back design is essential if you’re trying to create a more open soundstage with the help of decent airflow.
The earcups on the HD 660S2 are massive and have ample padding around them. They fit perfectly around the ears and do not offer any strain at all. You can easily wear them for multiple hours without feeling any kind of fatigue. The headband also has a good amount of padding and can easily be extended to provide perfect clamping. Underneath either earcup, you will find the two-pin connector to plug the cable.
Each earcup sports the Sennheiser logo which is now highlighted in bronze. The model number also gets a bronze finish – perhaps the most noticeable change of them all. The main purpose of the HD 660S2 is to provide a high-end listening experience, which is exactly what you are paying for. As for the design, if it isn’t broken, there’s absolutely no need to fix it.
Of course, with premium headphones geared towards audiophiles, the idea is to stay as close to the neutral sound as possible. While you won’t get true neutrality anywhere, Sennheiser’s subtle signature adds a nice texture to the soundstage. This signature is ever present on the HD 660S2. What audiophiles may not enjoy is the slight beefing of the low end and the effect that it has on the higher frequencies.
Make no mistake, we thoroughly enjoyed the listening experience Sennheiser HD 660S2 has to offer. The soundstage is very expansive and the dynamic drivers being so close to the ear opens it up all the more. If you’re making the step up from regular headphones, you will immediately experience the difference a premium pair of headphones can make. The minor details in the mix that usually get lost in the background are well represented on the soundstage here. You will notice new elements in songs you’ve heard countless times before.
The richness of the audio output was simply astounding while listening to hyper-pop artists like Sophie and Charli XCX. The low-end being slightly reinforced works wonders here, adding a little more thump to the music. The sound profile on offer here cannot be replicated on any ordinary pair of headphones. The punchiness of the output while listening to rock outfits like Led Zeppelin and UFO was also pretty satisfying to the ear.
The flair that Sennheiser HD 660S2 brings to the soundstage is undoubtedly more fun, but some may consider it straying from neutrality. The slight bump in the bass tends to minimise the edge on certain tracks that thrive because of the focus on higher frequencies. The lack of crispiness in the vocals can be observed in some instances. While this isn’t a glaring issue, it’s something that wasn’t a part of the HD 660S’ soundstage.

The Sony CH720N headphones have a lot of good padding all around, which can be found nicely on the ear cups as well as the headband. We got the whiteish-grey version to play around with. There are two more colours available – Black and Navy Blue. For easy storage and lugging the ear cups can swivel 45 degrees (approx.) forward and can without problems slide into your backpack or can stay stable on your neck.
There are plenty of keys and ports on the Sony CH720N headphones, which can be found on the right and the left ear cups. These include volume, play/pause, power, USB Type-C (for charging) and a 3.5mm audio port. A special separate key is also the right ear cup that controls active noise cancellation (ANC). Yes, these headphones cut down the noise actively. For that two microphones can be found on the top of the ear plates. Do they work well? Let’s find out in the next section.
Also in the box, you will get a USB Type-C charging cable and a 3.5mm audio cable, but sadly a carry case is missing.

Over that, it also supports Adaptive sound controls that automatically senses where you are and adjusts the audio according to the ambience. For this, you need to have the Sony Headphones app installed on your smartphone and turn on the setting.
You can control all the audio functions easily with the supplied keys as well. You will not need to bring out the mobile phone from your pocket for it. Double tapping the hyphen key (located between volume keys), will skip a track and triple pressing it will take you to the previous one. You can also fast-forward by tapping the same key and then holding it. If you double-tap and keep holding it, it will fast reverse the audio.
The Sony CH720N headphones support multi-point Bluetooth 5.2. This means the headphones can connect to two devices with Bluetooth at the same time and you need not manually switch between them. Over that, voice assistants from Google and Alexa are supported and work decently. Call quality is also good and the other side was able to hear us clearly.
Moving to its battery life. Sony CH720N headphones charge fully in just over 3.5 hours. You can get 1 hour of playback with just 3 minutes of charge. With ANC on we got over 33 hours of music playback. This is incredible and by far one of the longest. We also loved the fact that these headphones are very light to wear and stay comfortable, even on long journeys.

Video calling on Facebook Messenger is fast and intuitive. Creating a video call is easy, all you have to do is tap the video icon at the top of a conversation. Once a video call is underway, you can add more participants to the call. Messenger also has a ‘Watch Together’ feature that lets you watch movies and TV shows together with your friends. If you want a fun calling experience that makes use of stickers, face filters, and more, Messenger is the way to go.
Zoom is the ideal app for hosting a group video call with a large number of participants. Zoom is available for Android and iOS platforms, making it one of the best cross-platform connectivity apps around. What’s impressive about Zoom is its accessible layout and the ability to host hundreds of people in a call. Another great thing about Zoom is that you can join a group call by simply logging in with the Meeting ID and password provided to you.
Particularly famous within the gaming community, Discord has a bunch of features that even non-gamers will appreciate. Once you create a server (group) on Discord, you can create different channels within it. Server mods can manage which members of the group get access to these channels. These channels can be used to share texts, images, and videos, and create group video calls. One of the unique features of group calls on Discord is that it allows you to share your smartphone’s or PC’s screen with the participants of the call.
Similar to Zoom, Google Meet can be used to host online lectures, meetings, and seminars that involve a large number of people. You can join a group meeting using the code provided by the organiser. One of the most useful features of Google Meet is the ability to record video meetings. You can also choose to blur your background, use a different background, or apply a face filter. To create a meeting on Google Meet, simply launch the app and tap on New Meeting>Start an instant meeting. This is one of the best ways to host a group video chat between iPhone and Android.
Instagram may be known for being one of the biggest photo-sharing platforms on the Internet, but its video-calling feature is pretty underrated. Instagram is a great app to add people without sharing your number. You can also create groups with multiple people and have a video conversation with all the participants by tapping the camera icon at the top right corner of the group. Like Facetime and WhatsApp, Instagram also lets you create group video call links for people who are not on the platform.

In any case, the Pixel design in its foldable form is as gorgeous and luxurious as ever. The gadget appears to have metallic frames and a glass back. The full-size outer display unfolds like the Galaxy Fold and sports a horizontally positioned triple back camera arrangement like the Pixel 7 series. However, the Pixel Fold’s camera unit is more refined because it is less obtrusive and has a more streamlined appearance. Additionally, there is a speaker and an LED flash.
Unlike Samsung’s Z Fold, it has rounded sides and a large cover display. There is a selfie camera situated on top and there are substantial side bezels. Furthermore, the Google Foldable phone will have a periscopic camera, which is once more absent from the Z Fold. It is said to have a 5X optical zoom.
The triple rear camera of the Fold may equip a 48-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, OIS, and CLAF. A 10.8-megapixel ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and 121-degree field of view might possibly be included in the camera unit. A 10.8-megapixel dual PD telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom will also be included. Selfies may be taken using an 8-megapixel inner selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the inside and an external 9.5-megapixel sensor with a 1.22 pm pixel width on the exterior.

Google Pixel 7a has been confirmed by Google to launch in India on May 11, which means it will be unveiled at I/O this year. Much like the Pixel 6a, the Google Pixel 7a will carry forward the design language and the processor of the flagship 7 Series. This year’s Pixel A series may get a higher refresh rate and wireless charging. The rear camera setup of Google Pixel 7a will feature a 64MP primary lens and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. Expect the Pixel 7a to be priced around $500 (~Rs 40,000).
The Pixel Tablet was announced at last year’s I/O event. Since then we haven’t heard much about the device from Google. The Internet, however, has been abuzz with rumours and an I/O 2023 release looks very likely for Google’s debut tablet. The Pixel Tablet will come with an attached dock which will allow the device to work as a smart display when it is in standby mode. While not much is known about the price tag, several reports suggest that the Pixel Tablet will be available to preorder from May 10.
Last year, Google teased us with the Pixel 7 series. It is expected that we will get a glimpse of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro this year. The smartphones, of course, will be launched later in 2023, but the company may fully reveal the device on May 10. Some renders of Pixel 8 have been floating around the Internet but it is hard to speak to the validity of those images.
