Samsung is all set to launch its next flagship devices Galaxy S21 Series today. The company will be hosting a live Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event to unveil all the three smartphones that would be included in the series. Ahead of the launch the Samsung also opened the Pre-reservation for the upcoming flagship phones. In addition to this even before this rumours and leaks related to smartphones have been doing the round on the web for quite a long time now.

The Galaxy Unpacked: Welcome to the Everyday Epic will be held virtually. The launch event will be held today and is going to be live-streamed on Samsung Newsroom, Samsung.com at 10 a.m. EST and 8 pm IST. However, the event is being hosted virtually but Samsung has tried to make it more interesting by putting up questions before the viewers. During the live event, some questions will pop up on the screen to which you have to answer correctly and can stand a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphone to 21 lucky winners. In addition to this, the upcoming Galaxy flagship is now up for reservations by paying a token amount of Rs 2000. Customers interested in getting early access to the upcoming Galaxy flagship can make a reservation on Samsung India eStore www.samsung.com or Samsung Shop App. Also, those making the pre-reservation will get the ‘Next Galaxy VIP Pass’. At the time of pre-booking, the token amount of Rs 2000 will be deducted from the device price on the final purchases.

On the other hand rumour and leaks suggests the series will include three devices Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The standard variant is suggested to be powered by Exynos 2100 SoC that would deliver 25 to 35 percent improved battery life than the Exynos 990-powered Galaxy S20. Whereas the Snapdragon 888 processor-powered device will come with a 15 percent improvement in battery life over the Snapdragon 865 running predecessor. The upcoming model is suggested to have a 4,000mAH battery similar to its predecessor that will get significant improvement in battery life with the power of the latest processors. In addition to this, the upcoming flagship series is said to support fast charging too.

The live images of Samsung Galaxy 21+ revealed to feature three triple cameras aligned vertically on the top left corner. On the front, there is a hole-punch display with flat edges.

Previously the marketing images of the much-hyped smartphone were leaked in addition to the video of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra by a YouTube Channel namely Random Stuff 2. The video shows a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Whereas the video also confirmed a triple rear camera on the back of the smartphone that is to include a 64-megapixel sensor which is going to support 4K 60fps HDR10+ video.

The leaks also suggest Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra to feature a quad rear camera set up with laser autofocus and an LED flash. It might also include a curved display with a hole-punch at the top center to hide a selfie camera.

Moreover, leaks suggest that both Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ to own a flat display and a hole punch design. There will be a triple rear camera set on the plastic back. Whereas the Ultra variant is said to bear a glass body with a curved back which we have also seen on the current Galaxy S20 Ultra.

CES 2021: Dell has launched new Alienware M15 and M17 gaming laptops along with AMD Ryzen driven R10 gaming PC

On Wednesday, Alienware has gone ahead and refreshed its line-up of gaming laptops and desktops. The new machines are part of CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2021, which is being held virtually due to the current pandemic. The new gaming notebooks and gaming PC will be rolled out in a phased manner across various countries, including India. Dell has also not exactly told, which version of the Series-30 NVIDIA graphics cards will be loaded in the machines, but they did clearly mentioned that Alienware M15 R4 and M17 R4 gaming laptops will still have Intel’s 10th gen iCore CPUs and not the 11th gen.

Alienware M15 R4 and M17 R4 gaming laptops tech specs

Alienware M15 R4 and M17 R4 are the company’s mid and high-end level laptops. They will come with an 86Wh battery inside. As far as the display is concerned the M15 R4 will feature a 15.6-inch display and the M17 R4 will sport a 17.3-inch display. 10th generation Intel Core i7 and i9 CPUs will be available in these laptops, along with an iCore i5 CPU that might be available at the base level in some countries. Up to 4TB SSD will be available as an option for the Alienware M15 R4 and M17 R4 laptops. As said, Series-30 Graphics Card will be available in both the machines.

News is that Alienware M15 R4 will come with a mid-end GeForce series-30 card and Alienware M17 R4 will come with the premium end. Over that, both the laptops are slated to come with Thunderbolt 3 ports, USB Type-A ports along with USB Type-C and HDMI jacks. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 is also part of the package. Both the gaming laptops will come with vapour chamber cooling with Alienware Cryo-Tech for better overall cooling of the devices. Stereo speakers along with a single headphone cum MIC jack will be available on Alienware M15 R4 and M17 R4 laptops. Up to 32GB RAM will be available in the laptops.

As for the price, the Alienware M15 R4 and M17 R4 can be picked up for USD 2,149 upwards (Rs 1.56 Lakhs upwards approx). Windows 10 will be the native OS on both the laptops and users will be able to purchase it after the 26th of Jan 2020.

Alienware Aurora Ryzen edition R10 gaming PC tech specs

Alienware Aurora Ryzen edition R10 gaming PC will come with 16-cores driven Ryzen 9 5950X CPU. It will be coupled with AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT-series graphics card. NVIDIA GeForce Series 30 GPU will also come as an option. The machine will have the capability to accommodate up to 128GB RAM and 4TB of SSD storage. Wi-Fi 6, USB 3.2, USB Type-C and Type-A ports are going to be part of the package too. In all likelihood, the monitor needs to be bought separately, as no word has been given on that. Windows 10 will be the native OS on the Alienware Aurora Ryzen edition R10 gaming PC.

Alienware Aurora Ryzen edition R10 gaming PC will first be available in the USA at a starting price of USD 1,079 (Rs 80,000 approx). It will come in two colours options — Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon.

Vivo Y12s with 5,000mAh battery launched in India

Vivo has officially launched its new budget phone in the Indian market today. The Chinese smartphone company has arrived with Vivo Y12s in the country. The device includes a 5000mAh with a waterdrop-style notch display. The smartphone is by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SOC and also runs FunTouch OS version 11. To recall prior to launch in the country the smartphone has already been introduced in Hongkong and Vietnam.

Commenting on the launch, Nipun Marya, Director- Brand Strategy, Vivo India said, “The youthful Y series by Vivo has always been about our commitment to fulfil the consumer needs for innovative features that meets the specific requirements in different price brackets. The Y12s is yet another effort from Vivo to continue offering convenient features like reverse charging with 5000mAh battery and capable AI Dual Camera with Bokeh mode at a reasonable price point. The Y-series line-up reiterates Vivo’s efforts to make technology accessible with leading camera capabilities, premium design and seamless experience to the consumers.”

Vivo Y12s price has been set at Rs 9,990 for the single 3GB RAM with 32GB storage option. The budget smartphone will be available in two colour options of Phantom Black and Glacier Blue. The device will be available for purchase via Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, and across all partner retail stores.

Vivo Y12s runs the FunTouch OS 11 based on top of Android 10 OS. The budget smartphone features an HD + 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It offers an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and there is a waterdrop style notch to house a selfie camera. The Vivo smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor paired with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. The internal storage can be expanded using a microSD card.

For taking photos and videos there is a dual camera set up that is placed vertically on the back of the Vivo Y12s. The camera system includes a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and video calling there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Vivo Y12s is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that comes with 10W fast charging support. This phone equips a face to unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication. Other than this there is a dual SIM support Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack as connectivity options on the phone.

Oppo Enco X true wireless stereo earphones set to launch in India on January 18

The Chinese smartphone company Oppo has announced to launch a new audio device in India on January 18 alongside Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G. The company will be introducing Oppo Enco X which comes with Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling. The earbuds carry a dual microphone design to provide active noise cancelling with multiple modes to customize and choose the strength of noise reduction. The TWS earphones are also supported by LHDC low-latency wireless transmission in addition to Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity.

Oppo Enco X true wireless stereo earphones are now confirmed to launch in India on January 18. To recall the TWS earphones made their debut last year in China and now they are going to arrive in the Indian market alongside Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G smartphone. The launch event is scheduled to start at 12.30 noon and will be live-streamed via the company’s official YouTube channel as well as through social media channels.

At the CES 2021, Samsung announced a host of devices at the ongoing CES 2021. The company has showcased a Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator, 110-inch MICRO LED, a Lifestyle TV and Samsung Health Smart Trainer on Samsung 2021 TVs. In addition to this Samsung has also introduced SmartThings Cooking Services, JetBot 90 AI+ Cleaner and Bot Handy Robot which grabbed our attention.

We’re hard at work to bring you next-generation innovation, with AI as the core enabler, for your better tomorrow.”

Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex: The Bespoke refrigerator comes with four changeable panels that are available in a choice of colour options as well as material. This allows customers to adjust their fridge for form and function. This model will initially come with North America this spring which will also include a brand-new Beverage Center. This gives quick access to a water dispenser and an automatically-filled water pitcher. The Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator also equips a Dual Auto Ice Maker which makes not only regular cubed ice but also smaller ‘ice bites’ to suit different preferences for cold beverages.

Samsung 110-inch MICRO LED: According to the company the 110-inch MICRO LED TV screen features a self-lit inorganic LED. The TV comes with a bezel-less Infinity Screen design with “4Vue” (Quad View), a four-way viewing option. This feature allows one to view multiple sports at once, or stream a tutorial while playing a video game. In the US it will include 160 and more free TV channels that are available through Samsung TV Plus. As per the company, the Samsung 110-inch MICRO LED will be released globally this spring.

Samsung Health Smart Trainer on Samsung 2021 TVs: This Samsung Health Smart Trainer lets the user track and analyse their posture in real-time from a compatible smart TV. During and post-workout, Smart Trainer provides feedback on form, helps you count your reps, and estimates calories burned. With video and interactive training via Bixby-enabled voice control, Samsung Health Smart Trainer elevates and personalizes the home workout experience.

Samsung JetBot 90 AI+ Cleaner: The JetBot 90 AI+ Cleaner is basically a new vacuum cleaner that makes use of object recognition technology to identify and classify objects to decide the best cleaning path. It comes integrated with LiDAR and 3D sensors which allow the cleaner to avoid cables and small objects, while still cleaning hard-to-reach corners in your home. The JetBot 90 AI+ comes fitted with a camera that can also be controlled via the SmartThings app to assist you with home monitoring.

Samsung Bot Handy Robot: As the name suggests Bot Handy Robot is an all-new AI-powered robot that is currently in development and can pick up objects of varying sizes, shapes and weights. It will also be able to differentiate between the material composition of various objects, utilizing the appropriate amount of force to grab and move around household items and objects, working as your trusted partner to help with house chores like cleaning up messy rooms or sorting out the dishes after a meal.

Apart from this Samsung also made an announcement with regards to Galaxy Upcycling at Home programme. The company commits to creating a circular economy, Samsung is developing programs and packaging solutions that promote a sustainable product lifecycle—from beginning to end.

Galaxy Upcycling at Home: At the CES 2021 press conference the company announced an update to its Galaxy Upcycling program called Galaxy Upcycling at Home. This initiative aims to upcycle older Galaxy phones and offers consumers options on how they might be able to repurpose their device to create a variety of convenient IoT tools.

TV Eco Packaging: Samsung announced that its eco-packaging would expand to QLED, UHD TV, monitor, and audio products in 2021. For example, Samsung’s new Solar Cell Remote Control—made in part with recycled plastic—can be charged via solar or indoor lighting, reducing battery waste.

2020 was a very unusual year for most and much so for the US citizens. While President Trump kept pointing fingers and said that the voting was a fixed affair, the world was struggling with the pandemic. Recently, many US citizens ran past the security and entered the Capitol building in Washington DC, USA. It was a result of some tweets/FB posts and follow up tweets/FB posts by Trump and his followers that enraged the attack. People have been posting on social channels like Facebook with the phrase ‘stop the steal’ right before president-elect, Joe Biden, is supposed to take office.

Executives at Facebook USA have confirmed that they are enforcing deletion of such violent posts with the phrase ‘stop the steal’ and in certain cases even suspending the accounts of the violators. This has come in the wake of the violence that has surged on to the streets of USA and aversive action has to be taken.

According to reports, including from Reuters, the FBI has warned USA states and the police force that there might be armed protests happening all across the country in the days leading up to the new president taking up the office. The road for Joe Biden has been tough and with ‘stop the steal’ posts running rampantly, Facebook finally took a strong step to curb and disarm the misinformation spreading like wildfire in the country leading to violence.

Facebook’s VP Guy Rosen and Monika Bickert in a post said, “We are treating the next two weeks as a major civic event. We are now removing content containing the phrase ‘stop the steal’ under our Coordinating Harm policy from Facebook and Instagram… With continued attempts to organize events against the outcome of the US presidential election that can lead to violence, and the use of the term by those involved in Wednesday’s violence in DC, we’re taking this additional step in the lead up to the inauguration.”

“It may take some time to scale up our enforcement of this new step, but we have already removed a significant number of posts.”

HP unleashes Envy 14, HP Elite Dragonfly Max Laptops, HP Elite Wireless Earbuds and more at CES 2021

This year’s most influential tech event in the world CES is being held virtually amid COVID-19. Various companies from across the globe are showcasing their breakthrough technologies and global innovators are taking part in the annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association. In the event, the American multinational information technology company HP has unveiled its new devices that include HP Envy 14, HP Elite Dragonfly Max Laptops, and HP Elite Wireless Earbuds. Read on to know more about the devices.

HP Envy 14

HP Envy 14 comes with a 14-inch WUXGA IPS display with 1,920 x 1,200 pixels of resolution. It is a multitouch screen and the laptop is powered by an 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. The device also equips up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti with Max-Q graphics and will be available in 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD storage.

The HP laptop runs on Windows 10 Home Edition and it features a 720p HD camera with a privacy shutter in addition to dual digital microphones. The dual speakers on the computing device are powered by Bang and Olufsen. Additionally, there is a backlit keyboard and a 4-cell 63.3 Wh Li-ion polymer battery which is touted to deliver up to 16.5 hours of battery life. For connectivity, there are Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 connectivity options including Thunderbolt 4, Display port, two USB Type-A ports, headphone mic combo, AC Smart pin, and an HDMI 2.0 port.

The Envy 14 includes a physical shutter for the webcam, a dedicated mute microphone key on the keyboard, and features AI Noise Removal to intelligently mute background noise when using speakers, headphones, or the microphone during video chats, audio calls, and recordings. Easily and reliably transfer photos, videos, documents, and more, wirelessly between PC and mobile devices with HP QuickDrop.

Price: The price of the HP Envy 14 will start at $999 that translates to Rs 73,300 and is expected to be available for purchase via HP.com from this month only.

HP Elite Dragonfly G2 and HP Elite Dragonfly Max

These are touted to be the world’s lightest compact business convertible laptop. Both the HP Elite Dragonfly G2 and HP Elite Dragonfly Max are powered by 11th generation Tiger Lake processors and new Intel integrated graphics allowing users to stay connected through 5G or gigabit-class 4G LTE connectivity with built-in Tile. The Chinese smartphone company has launched the phone under the mid-range segment that includes a triple rear camera set up that offers a 48-megapixel primary sensor. Moreover, there is a 5,000mAh battery onboard with 18W fast charging. The newly launched smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 662 SoC.

Vivo Y51A has been introduced in India in a single configuration of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 17,990. The smartphone will be offered in two colour options of Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony. The device can now be purchased via Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, and across all partner retail stores.

In order to offer new video streaming capabilities and content creation tools, Sony has now expanded its 360 Reality Audio services and product offerings. This revolutionary musical experience, powered by Sony’s spatial sound technologies, evokes feelings of being in a music studio or live concert venue – all without leaving the comfort of home.

“360 Reality Audio is a powerful platform that brings listeners an experience that honors the creator’s true intent, and brings artists and fans even closer together. We are thrilled to enhance and expand our audio ecosystem with innovative streaming video, and powerful new ways for musicians to create an amazing experience,” said Mike Fasulo, president and chief operating officer, Sony Electronics, Inc.

Currently, listeners can access approximately 4,000 songs in 360 Reality Audio from artists like Alicia Keys, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Noah Cyrus, Zara Larsson, and more. However, Sony has now added new capabilities to this innovative music format. The company further added, “To showcase these new video capabilities, Sony Music Entertainment artist Zara Larsson will release an exclusive live performance in 360 Reality Audio on January 11 at 5:00 PM EST. Viewers will be able to stream this performance with the Artist Connection app1 on a smartphone. With select Sony headphones and the Sony | Headphones Connect app2, users can also optimize their experience by analyzing their individual ear shape to enjoy a custom immersive musical field that is perfectly optimized for them.”

Sony further revealed that the 360 Reality Audio makes it possible to create a lifelike music experience, giving listeners the impression that they are in a live concert setting. The company also added that to use this spatial sound technology to create an innovative solution for music lovers who are not able to enjoy live concerts due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Sony has announced the FX6 (model ILME-FX6V) camera that’s a new entry in the company’s Cinema Line, a series of products that brings the company’s expertise in imaging technology to a broad range of filmmakers and content creators.

According to the company, the all-new FX6 incorporates Sony’s core technologies of image sensor, processing engine, and AF (autofocus) performance. It is compatible with the wide range of Sony E-mount lenses for creative flexibility.

Emphasising that the new FX6 is the latest example of Sony’s drive to continuously push the boundaries of imaging technology based on the needs of its customers, Neal Manowitz, deputy president of Imaging Products and Solutions Americas, Sony Electronics, said, “With the advancement of our Cinema Line, we are dedicated to enabling the extraordinary skills and talent of today’s content creators and cinematographers. The FX6 leverages technology from Sony’s industry-leading VENICE cinema camera and marries it with the best of Sony’s innovative Alpha mirrorless camera technology.”

As far as the full-frame Cinematic Image Quality is concerned, the new camera features a 10.2 MPiii full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor that delivers a 15+ stop wide dynamic rangeiv with high sensitivity and low noise. FX6’s base sensitivity is ISO 800 with an enhanced sensitivity setting of ISO 12,800v – expandable up to 409,600vi – for shooting in low and very low light conditions. In addition to this, the FX6 also comprises of a BIONZ XR image processing engine that was earlier used in the new Sony Alpha 7S III camera.

In a teaser video that Samsung has posted on Twitter, the Galaxy Buds Pro true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones is likely to be launched on January 14 at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Mind you! This event that will be live-streamed alongside CES 2021.

If reports are to be believed the Galaxy Buds Pro will make way along with the flagship Galaxy S21 smartphone series. The reports further revealed that Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro will be launched a few months after the unveiling of the Galaxy Buds Live.

According to the tweet by Samsung, “It’s everything you’ll want to hear. #SamsungUnpacked on January 14, 2021 at 8 PM. Visit http://samsung.com to watch the livestream. Make an #EpicResolution for 2021 and fulfill it with the next Galaxy.”

However, there is no confirmation on what exactly this product would be. Several reports have revealed that it’s likely the Galaxy Buds Pro that is expected to be equipped with an in-canal fit unlike the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live. Moreover, this audio gadget will also be fitted with active noise cancellation (ANC) along with the ability of app support as well as Scalable Bluetooth codec support.

Furthermore, news is rife that Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 20,000. The launch of this much-anticipated device aims to take care of the issues with the former headset.

Moreover, Samsung will be showcasing its C-Lab projects and C-Lab Outside startups at CES 2021 from January 11 through 14. Samsung will unveil four exciting projects in progress from its in-house venture program C-Lab Inside. Seventeen startups supported by the C-Lab Outside, Samsung’s startup acceleration program, will participate in the event as well.

Moto G Power (2021) is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 Soc and paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that can be expanded up to 512Gb using a microSD card. The device runs on Android 10 and it sports a 6.6-inch HD+ display with 720×1,600 pixels of resolution. It also offers 20:9 aspect ratio and 267ppi pixel density.

Moto G Play (2021) features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720×1,600 pixels of resolution. The phone runs Android 10 and is powered by Snapdragon 460 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU for graphics. The smartphone boasts a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

Xiaomi has officially launched two new devices in the market under its sub-brand Redmi. The company has introduced Redmi Note 9T and Redmi 9T in the European market which is said to be a twisted variant of Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 4G respectively. Both these Note 9 devices have already made their debut in China in November last year. The Redmi Note 9T is a 5G variant while the Redmi 9T is a 4G version. The earlier one comes with triple rear cameras but the latter one has a quad-camera set up on its back. Leats check out the pricing and specifications of both the devices.

Redmi Note 9T price of the base 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant has been set at EUR 229 that translates to Rs 20,500 while the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model will be available with a price tag of EUR 269 that translates to Rs 24,100. Both the variants will be offered in Nightfall Black and Daybreak Purple. This device will go on sale in Europe starting January 11.

Whereas Redmi 9T will come with pricing of EUR 159 that translates to Rs 14,300 for the base 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model. The price of the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage has been set at EUR 189 that translates to Rs 17,000. Lastly, the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage option is priced at EUR 199 that translates to Rs 17,900. This smartphone will come in Carbon Gray, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange, and Ocean Green colour options and go on sale on January 9.

Redmi Note 9T features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The device runs on MIUI 12 on top of Android 10. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The internal memory can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Today in India the Chinese tech major Lenovo has introduced three new laptops in India under Yoga and IdeaPad lineup. Lenovo Yoga 7i, Yoga 9i and IdeaPad Slim 5i laptops are powered by an 11th generation Tiger Lake processor. All these devices are thin and lightweight with industry-leading CPU performance, immersive graphics, amazing AI acceleration as well as best in class connectivity.

Lenovo Yoga 7i

Lenovo Yoga 7i is powered by 11th Generation Intel Core i7-1165G7 Processor paired with d Intel Iris Xe graphics. The device comes with rounded edges, four-side narrow bezel design that offers an 88% aspect ratio. The 360-degree hinge not only offers transitioning from tablet to laptop mode but stability also. It also offers Rapid Charge Express and Intelligent Cooling for optimising the performance with up to 16 hours of battery life. The Yoga 7i also includes Dolby Atmos Speaker System, and Lenovo Smart Assist combined with a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication and TrueBlock privacy shutter. It has a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS touchscreen display with 1,920×1,080 pixels of resolution. Under the chassis, there is up to 11th-gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 CPU with Intel Iris XE graphics. It will be offered in 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage. There is a 60Wh lithium-ion polymer battery on board. In addition to this, there is a 1-megapixel web camera with a privacy shutter.

The Yoga 9i is equipped with an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Reader for a more accurate login and a Smart Sensor TouchPad with up to 50% more clickable active surface area that vibrates when clicked. Other than this there are AI-powered attention-sensing software – Glance by Mirametrix, Lenovo’s Connected Home Security, Lenovo Intelligent Thermal System 4.0, and Lenovo Q-Control.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i

The IdeaPad Slim 5i will be available in two screen size options of 14’’ & 15.6” FHD IPS display with up to 300nits anti-glare 45% colour gamut. The laptop is powered by 11th-gen Intel Core i7 Tiger Lake CPU with Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics. It will be available with up to 16GB of RAM. It has a 720p HD camera for video calling with a privacy button. Apart from this the machine comes integrated with Wi-Fi 6 and a fingerprint sensor on Power Button. Whereas the laptop can last up to three hours on just 15 minutes of charging.

Pricing and Availability

The price of the Yoga 7i will start at Rs 99,000 while Yoga 9i will be available starting at Rs 1,69,990. Whereas Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i has a starting price of Rs 63,990 and is now available via Lenovo.com, online partner platform – Amazon, and Lenovo exclusive offline stores. On the other hand, Lenovo Yoga 7i and 9i is now available for pre-order on Lenovo.com and go on sale from 15 Jan and 12 Jan onwards across channels respectively.
