But today we want to see a few of the best ones, that are extremely popular and can be seen at the majority of operators that are not on GamStop and offer a lot of exclusive games for UK players. Keep in mind that all the numbers you see below are changing as we speak. Software providers constantly develop new games and they are accepted in more new casinos. As such, all the numbers from below will be higher soon.

Microgaming is the oldest brand. They even developed their first online casino back in 1994. Today they are of the leaders. First, you can see the name and play their games at over 160 casinos. They offer over 460 slots, 45 table games and so much more. Being the best-known brand, you can play fair games and enjoy the latest graphics and features. These games are known for one reason more. This company offers over 85 slots, and 22+ table games and can be found in over 74 online casinos. As you can expect all of the games offer instant gameplay. This means that you can play a game as soon as you load it. There is no need to download anything.

NetEnt

This is another brand that we all like. First and foremost it is extremely popular. It is probably one of the best gaming technologies and providers in the world, you can see and play their games at almost all casinos you can find on the web. They gave over 100 slots and table games. They are present in over 200 casinos and new ones are adding NetEnt games as we speak. One of the perks here is the quality of the games. Their slots are known for advanced gameplay and a lot of features. They also have additional bonuses, mini-games and so much more. The brand is one of the best due to a reason.

Rival Gaming

Rival Gaming has been with us since 2006 and they are present in almost 100 online casinos. One of the main advantages this brand has to offer is the creation of Role-playing slots. These slots are special and they come in limited numbers. But, players love them and want to play them as we speak. When it comes to games, they offer many slots and even more table games. Rival Gaming is a well-known brand and all of its games are fair and special. We even believe that this provider has a huge potential and they will become even more popular and offer more games in the near future.

Play’n GO

Play’n GO is another brand you will see at most casinos on the web. They develop all kinds of games and all of them are in HTML5 technology. The company was founded in 2004 and today it is one of the biggest providers in the gambling industry. Keep in mind that they developed the first game in 2004. The brand has been working with gambling websites since 1997. We can add that this brand has a bit unique feature that Microgaming offers as well. Basically, an online casino can customize the game and make it more suitable for their user interface, their offers, and their brand in general. If you play the same game developed by the brand at two different casinos it may look different.

Pragmatic Play

Pragmatic Play is one of those providers you will see at most online casinos. They have around 100 slots and new ones are being developed as we speak. The company is located in Malta and has been a synonym for online gambling. Besides slots, they develop table games as well. The brand doesn’t have as many games as you may think but all of its games are developed in HTML5 technology. What this means is that the same game will run on any device you want to use. You can play the same slot on a smartphone and later on a computer. This is a huge advantage and we can see that all other software developers are doing the same thing. They know how important this feature is. A lot of players want to play the same game on any device they use for gambling.

The Final Word

All of these brands are well-known live software providers available for GamStop players, but the full list will be much bigger. They offer some of the iconic games you probably play or you will play any time soon. More importantly, these brands offer fair games that will pay out as specified and can help you win big. Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be available in three colour options, Google revealed

Tech giant Google has recently unveiled the colour possibilities for the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro ahead of their formal launch which is scheduled to take place on October 6. Each of the two future smartphones will be offered in three colour options. The publicly available photographs also reveal the two models’ somewhat different rear camera bars. In addition to this, Google’s newest Tensor G2 SoC will be used to power the Pixel 7 line of smartphones. On October 6, Google will hold a launch event for the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch. On the occasion, new Nest smart home gadgets will also be unveiled. Prior to the official release, the colour options for both of the Pixel 7 series’ smartphones are now displayed on the dedicated page on the Google Store. As per the webpage, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro both come in the Obsidian and Snow colour variants. Hazel with a gold camera strip is the third colour option for the Pixel 7 Pro. Additionally, the third colour option for the Pixel 7 is Lemongrass with a bronze bar. Furthermore, the Google Tensor G2 processor has also been confirmed to power the Pixel 7 series. These devices will also come pre-installed with Android 13. According to the webpage, the new OS will bring personalised capabilities to photographs, videos, security, and speech recognition. Recently, a Google Pixel 7 Pro unboxing video surfaced online. The smartphone is seen in the video as being black and with the “G” logo of Google on its back. This is Google’s next flagship device’s second internet appearance; the first was an early hands-on video posted by a YouTuber. The person shows how the phone has a glass back and a visor design that is identical to the prototype that was on exhibit at Google I/O 2022. There are two cutouts in the metal visor. The first cutaway shows two cameras, the second of which looks to have a telephoto lens. The official Google animation sequence is shown on the boot screen before a screen for setting up the device appears. Other than this, there is nothing more in the film that may be shared. Vivo V25 Pro Review: A good camera-centric smartphone

Only eight months have passed since the Vivo V23 Pro was introduced in India, and the Vivo V25 Pro is already here as its successor. There aren’t many improvements over the old model with this one, however the ones that are there make it modern. It now has a larger battery, improved camera features, and a new colour-changing design that was initially seen on the V23 Pro. We’ve spent a couple of days with this phone and here is our detailed review of the Vivo V25 Pro.

Vivo V25 Pro Review: Design and Display

The V-Series from Vivo is highly known for both its aesthetic appeal and advanced photography capabilities. The company makes an effort to introduce something fresh with each new iteration. However, ever since Nothing Phone 1 (Review) entered the market it is already generating a lot of talk among tech enthusiasts with its groundbreaking design, which is undoubtedly cutting edge, good gaming performance, and many other features. Vivo recently released the Vivo V25 Pro in the market at a comparable price range.  Vivo V25 Pro Review: Design and Display Because it now has a larger battery capacity, the V23 Pro is no longer as light and is even on the heavier side compared to its predecessor. More specifically, the Vivo V25 Pro’s rear panel has a colour-changing anti-glare glass that changes colour when exposed to sunlight, and also adds a bit of weight. It comes in a single Sailing Blue finish. It should be noted that the Vivo V23 Pro was the device that initially featured the colour-changing design concept (review). Due to the matte texture on the back panel, scratches and fingerprints are actually resisted. Vivo V25 Pro Review: Design and Display Unlike its predecessor, the phone’s camera module looks relatively ordinary. Most modern smartphones have camera modules that are square in shape and have a very similar appearance. The medium-sized display notch that houses the two selfie cameras on the V23 Pro was one element that seemed a little old.  In order to make it look much easier on the eye and less distracting, Vivo has now reduced that number to one and housed it into a hole-punch hole. A secondary noise-cancelling microphone is located on the frame’s top, and the power and volume rocker buttons are located on the frame’s right. On the phone’s bottom are a SIM tray, a type-c port, and a speaker grille. Vivo V25 Pro Review in India The Vivo V25 Pro does not have an IP rating, which was also lacking with the previous version and is something we would not reasonably anticipate from a phone in this price bracket. The 6.56-inch FHD+ 3D Curved AMOLED display on the Vivo V25 Pro is an improvement over the 90Hz panel on the V23 Pro, offering a touch sampling rate of 300Hz and a high refresh rate of 120Hz for an improved viewing and browsing experience. It also supports 100% of the DCI-P3 broad colour gamut and a contrast ratio of 6,000,000:1 to provide a more immersive viewing experience. Along with that, it has HDR 10+, Netflix HDR, and SGS Low Blue Light certifications. Vivo V25 Pro Review in India A very responsive in-display fingerprint sensor and a very elegant design are both features of the display. Even though it has a fairly wide display, holding it in your hand is really pleasant. It has curved edges and a bezel-free display. We really enjoyed using this phone because it has an edge-to-edge screen and the videos have great graphics, colours, and contrast. It provides great, sharp, vibrant pictures and even supports HDR on YouTube and Netflix. The range of viewing angles is unlimited. As a result, using the gadget gives you a great multimedia experience. When used outdoors or in intense sunshine, the phone’s display can reach a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and everything is very legible. Although you can choose a refresh rate of 60Hz or 120Hz in the display settings, Smart Switch is turned on by default. The processor in this phone is really quick and can handle everything, therefore we used the phone at 120Hz. The curved display makes the phone look more luxurious. We anticipated stereo speakers, but there is only one bottom-firing speaker. However, it supports Hi-Res audio, has good sound quality, and is loud.

Vivo V25 Pro Review: Performance and Cameras

Vivo V25 Pro’s software is already pre-installed with Funtouch OS 12, which is based on Android 12. One thing to keep in mind is that although there is a lot of bloatware, you can remove it. Fortunately, it does not significantly alter the Android UI experience. It also has several customization options, such as eye protection on the display, the option to change the screen mode, and the ability to add dynamic effects.  There is a dedicated gaming mode called Vivo’s Ultra Game Mode that provides some good software features for gamers. The font styles can also be modified. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, which is power-efficient and performs just like the Snapdragon 870 SoC, powers the Vivo V25 Pro. In our tests, it looked impressive, and we used the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage configuration. There is also a RAM boost option that gives you 8 GB of additional virtual RAM, bringing the total amount of virtual RAM to 16GB (including the 8GB of physical RAM). We played Call of Duty at its highest settings and were really pleased with how it performed. While 90FPS may also be used to play PUBG New State, it did so quite successfully. However, the curved display may cause some unintentional touches, but the combination of the 300Hz touch sampling rate and the 120Hz refresh rate raises the bar for gaming. Additionally, we had no thermal problems, jitters, frame dropouts, or slowdowns with this phone. In terms of connectivity, you get eight 5G bands to support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling support and more. We’ll now discuss the Cameras, which is the review’s second-most crucial section in our honest opinion. Yes, the Vivo V-Series is a camera-focused line of smartphones, so whatever camera enhancements you get should be thoroughly tested. Previously, the V23 primary camera, which had a resolution of 108 megapixels, has been dropped to 64 megapixels, but it now incorporates optical image stabilisation (OIS). The 2-megapixel macro camera and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera appear to be the same as before. The V25 Pro’s 32-megapixel selfie camera is a sort of drop from the 50-megapixel one on the V23 Pro. Vivo V25 Pro Review in India The primary sensor captures some detailed images with good sharpness levels in daylight, which are quite noticeable when zooming in. Despite a tendency to oversaturate the sky colours, the colours are generally nice. There is nothing wrong with the dynamic range, and it is also good. Vivo V25 Pro in India Moving on to the 8MP ultra-wide sensor, the photographs contain decent detail but, obviously, just acceptable levels of sharpness for an 8MP sensor. The corners are soft and lack detail. While the colours are pleasantly accurate and nearly on par with those of a primary sensor. Regarding the close-up photos in this post, you can notice good details and the images are sharp. The primary camera can take quality pictures, thus the colours are also fairly true and appear amazing. While the 2MP sensor produces dull-looking macro photographs, the images have been fine-tuned to make them look passable, despite the fact that the sensor as a whole is not ideal for macro photography.
Vivo V25 Pro in India
Portraits
The portraits you see here are well-done; the skin tones, sharpness, and details are all excellent. While colours are a little vibrant, edge detection is also done well. There are several choices to experiment with when using the portrait setting, including bokeh, beauty mode, and others. For portraits, the night mode also appears to be wonderful and reliable. When zoomed in, low-light indoor photographs have less noise and are more or less clear. However, when the night mode is activated in extremely low light levels, you can see fine details while the noise is somewhat tamed, but the edges appear a bit fuzzy and soft. Moving on to the selfie camera, the 32MP front sensor does a commendable job, with good sharpness and details. The skin tone also appears to be natural. Although night mode is also available for selfies, low-light selfies also work well. Selfies can be taken in portrait mode, which is also an option and does a respectable job overall. Vivo V25 Pro Review: A good camera-centric smartphone The Vivo V25 Pro can capture videos in 4K at 60 frames per second without stabilisation. Therefore, even if the quality is superb, this mode is not advised for recording moving footage. With OIS and EIS, you can also shoot in 4K at 30 frames per second, and the results are fairly consistent and attractive. The video quality at 1080p@60fps is excellent, and the colours and sharpness are both excellent. EIS is supported in 1080p@30fps, and slow motion is also an option. Stabilised video recording at the night is also an option. The battery’s capacity has increased from 4,300mAh in the V23 Pro to 4,830mAh, which is excellent to have because the V23 Pro’s battery life was lacking when used often. The charging, which has increased from 44W to 66W, is another improvement.

Verdict

Without a doubt, we would claim that the Vivo V25 Pro is a stunning and camera-focused smartphone. The curved display, colour-changing design, and 66W fast charging are a few small improvements. The IP certification, stereo speakers, and 3.5mm jack are all missing, though. Both the front and back cameras perform brilliantly. The daylight captures turned out quite great, and the subsequent low light experience is also quite good. Vivo’s most recent smartphone from the V series seems to be a powerhouse despite its higher-than-anticipated pricing. Vivo V25 Pro is our recommendation if you’re searching for a mid-range premium smartphone that focuses on photography. Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar review: A good inexpensive audio attachment for your TV

Many do not know but Mivi makes many audio devices including headphones, speakers and sound bars in India. Out of its latest soundbar range, we got the Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar over for an assessment. We spent 2 weeks with the device, and this is what we think of the new less expensive sound bar.

Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar review: Design

As the name suggests this soundbar is not a full-fledged 3-4 feet long sound bar, but is a compact 14-inch sound bar for flat-screen TVs. The front is dominated by a mesh cloth panel with silver accents on the sides and the Mivi branding upfront. This hides 4 speaker array behind it. The rest of the Mivi Fort S24 mini sound bar is made up of hard plastic which gives it a bit of sturdiness. On top of the machine, users get a couple of buttons. These include play/pause, volume up and down, and mode keys. The Mode buttons enable the users to switch between FM, Bluetooth etc modes. A microphone can also be found on the top that lets users speak to voice assistants like Google Assistant. Spin it around and you will see the power button as well as other ports. The ports include a microSD card slot, USB A, USB Type-C for charging and auxiliary. Two large rubber feet are given at the bottom for Mivi Fort S24 mini sound bar to sit tight on any type of surface. The total weight of the machine is 1.2Kg. Overall, the look and feel of the machine is quite desirable in this price bracket. Read Also: How to record your screen on PC using the Xbox Game Bar?

Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar review: Performance

Coming to how the Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar performs in real life, we found it to be pretty decent for the price it is offered at. When we put it to the test with a 43-inch smart TV in a large hall setup it did gave us a very good sound experience till 80-85% of the volume levels. Go beyond 90 then the sound starts to crack a bit. However, under 80% the 24W four-speaker array provides very admirable highs, mids and bass. Lows could have been better. Also, since it is a Bluetooth sound bar, it can also be used as a stand-alone BT speaker without the TV. We played sports, news, regular K-drama and songs on YouTube using it and it became our preferred choice. Since most TVs have downward-firing speakers between 10-20W RMS, the Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar provides 24W RMS front-firing audio. This is better for large rooms as you get a better resonance. Connecting it using any TV that has BT or 3.5mm aux capability is easy. However, we would have loved it even more if there was a remote supplied with it for switching the modes etc. In the box, users also get a USB charging cable but not a charger. Coming to its battery life, the company claims that it can last for over 6 hours. However, in our tests, it ran over just 5 hours. This is still ok, as you would keep the charger connected to it when watching TV for long periods. Audio from various devices like the microSD card, mobile, aux and USB pen drive is supported. All popular audio formats such as MP3 are supported, too. Read Also: Samsung Q Series, A Series, S Series 2021 Soundbar Lineup

Verdict

Overall, for the price of Rs 1,799 the Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar is quite good. You get a premium finish, very decent sound and better-quality plastics all over. If you are in the market looking for an inexpensive sound option for your low-sounding TV, you should look at this sound bar.

Mivi Fort S24 mini soundbar Pros

How much battery do the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, Pro and Pro Max have?

0
The new iPhone series is finally here, with the official unveiling taking place at Apple’s Far Out event on September 7. Over the years, the iPhone has gained a reputation for having an incredible battery life, which can easily last a day even when you carry out power-consuming tasks on it. Some users are even able to make the iPhone 14 Pro Max last for a couple of days, with very moderate use. So how does the battery capacity of the new iPhone 14 series measure up against its predecessors? In this article, we take a look at how much battery capacity the new iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, Pro, and Pro Max have to offer. Read Also: One Plus launches 10,000 mAh power bank for Rs 1,399

iPhone 14

iPhone 14 Battery Capacity: 3,279 mAh (12.68 Wh) iPhone 13 battery capacity: 3,227 mAh (12.41 Wh) The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 houses a lithium-ion 3,279 mAh battery which is a slight improvement over the 3,227 mAh battery on the iPhone 13. It retains the A15 Bionic chipset, so the power efficiency of the processor will remain the same. But users can expect a slightly longer battery life with the new entry-level iPhone 14. With fast charging, 50% of the battery can be replenished in 30 minutes. 15W Magsafe wireless charging and 7.5W Qi magnetic fast wireless charging has also been made available.

iPhone 14 Plus

iPhone 14 Plus Battery Capacity: 4,325 mAh (16.68 Wh) Apple claims the iPhone 14 Plus to have the largest battery capacity in the entire iPhone 14 lineup. The 14 Plus is able to accommodate a larger battery due to its larger size. However, it still comes with an A15 Bionic chipset, which is quite an efficient processor but its power handling will definitely be overshadowed by the A16 Bionic chip on the Pro models. So, on paper, the iPhone 14 Plus may have a bigger battery than the Pro Max, but the latter will certainly have better battery life and performance due to the latest chipset.

iPhone 14 Pro

iPhone 14 Plus Battery Capacity: 3,200 mAh (12.38 Wh) iPhone 13 Pro battery capacity: 3,095 mAh (11.97Wh) The iPhone 14 Pro sees a big bump in battery capacity compared to its predecessor, but it is still smaller than the non-pro versions. It’ll be interesting to see how well the A16 Bionic processor manages the battery efficiency, and if it can make the smaller battery last longer than the non-pro versions (which run on the A15 Bionic chipset). No matter what the difference is, the iPhone 14 Pro will still easily last a day on a full charge.

iPhone 14 Pro Max

iPhone 14 Pro Max Battery Capacity: 4,323 mAh (16.68 Wh) iPhone 13 Pro Max battery capacity: 4,352 mAh (16.75 Wh) Similar to the iPhone 14 Pro, the flagship Pro Max also comes with a smaller battery than its previous iteration. Out of the current lineup, Apple claims the iPhone 14 Plus to have the longest battery life, but experts claim the Pro Max will retain its title of being the battery king. This is largely due to the presence of the A16 Bionic chipset that will certainly do its part in effective handling and power efficiency. The ProMotion display is equipped to reduce the refresh rate for tasks that don’t require to use it at its full capacity. This will be a big factor in boosting the battery life.  Here is a detailed chart of the battery capacity on all the latest iPhone 14 models compared to their iPhone 13 siblings.
iPhone 13 Battery Capacity (mAh) Battery Capacity (Wh) iPhone 14 Battery Capacity (mAh) Battery Capacity (Wh)
Base Model 3227 12.41 Base Model 3279 12.68
Plus 4325 16.68
Pro 3095 11.97 Pro 3200 12.38
Pro Max 4352 16.75 Pro Max 4323 16.68

What is GB WhatsApp? Best way to use it on any Android phone?

8
WhatsApp provides a lot of handy and useful features that work together smoothly and bring out a seamless user experience. With every update, WhatsApp keeps adding to those features in a bid to retain its status as the most popular instant messenger in the world. Even though WhatsApp meets all the criteria to make it the ideal IM, there are some features that are constantly requested by users but we never get to see them incorporated into the app. For users that want those extra features, there is a modified (or modded) WhatsApp app called ‘GB WhatsApp’. In this article, we explain what GB WhatsApp is, how it can be used on any Android phone, and whether it is safe to use. Read Also: 5 best charging animations you should install on your Android smartphone

What is GB WhatsApp?

What is GB WhatsApp? GB WhatsApp is a cloned version of the WhatsApp messenger which builds upon the original app and adds interesting new features to it. Such cloned versions are also called ‘modded’ apps. Since it isn’t an official app, this app is not available on Google Play Store and can only be downloaded from third-party app stores. Here are some of the features offered by GB WhatsApp.
  • Increased file size limit: One of the major drawbacks of WhatsApp for most people is the inability to send files larger than 16MB in size. A lot of users prefer Telegram to share large files. With GB WhatsApp you can send files up to 100MB in size which is a decent improvement over WhatsApp’s 16MB limit.
  • Hide your online and typing status: GB WhatsApp gives you total control over your privacy by letting you hide your online status, typing status, and voice recording status.
  • Message Scheduling: With GB WhatsApp you can schedule messages in advance and select a time for them to be sent.
  • DND: If you do not want to be bothered by text messages while browsing your phone, you can set it on DND and it will cut off internet access to the app.
  • Read deleted messages: Can’t read a message because it was deleted before you could see it? With the modded version you can read any message that gets deleted by the sender.
  • Increased character limit for status update: Put up any status you want, with an increased character limit.
  • Status Download: Download the images and videos posted by others as their status with just one click.
  • Send high-resolution images: The GB clone doesn’t scale down the images you send to your contacts. The original resolution will be restored while sending images over WhatsApp.
These are the main features you get with GB WhatsApp. You can also hide a certain contact’s media in your phone gallery, and get access to a large number of themes, emojis, and stickers.

Is GB WhatsApp safe to use?

Is GB WhatsApp safe to use? Modded apps aren’t generally considered safe to use, and GB WhatsApp is no exception. WhatsApp has a strict policy of banning users from their app if they are found using any modded clone. Your messages aren’t end-to-end encrypted on the modded app and your personal data is always at a risk of getting breached. On top of that, the app also pushed adware. As a general rule of thumb, if an app isn’t listed on Google Play Store, you shouldn’t download it. However, if you still want to use this app, you can do so by following the instructions listed below.

How to download GB WhatsApp

How to download GB WhatsApp Step 1: Go to Google and search for ‘GB WhatsApp apk’. Look for a file with good reviews and an updated version. Step 2: Download the apk on your device. Step 3: Your phone will warn you about an expired security certificate before you install the apk. Continue with the installation process. Step 4: Once installed, sign in to GB WhatsApp with your phone number. Read Also: Best 55-inch or higher LED TVs under Rs 50,000

Frequently Asked Questions

Is GB WhatsApp a different app than WhatsApp?

GB WhatsApp is a modded version of WhatsApp and builds upon the original app code. Once you install GB WhatsApp you will be able to access your contacts on it.

Is it safe to use GB WhatsApp?

No, it is not safe to use GB WhatsApp because it gets rid of end-to-end encryption and your personal data is always at risk of a security breach.

Will I be banned from WhatsApp for using GB WhatsApp?

WhatsApp has handed out temporary and permanent bans to users for using the modded app. While it is not a certain thing, you may get banned if WhatsApp finds out you are using the modded app.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 review: Fun aesthetic meets exemplary performance

At a time when the stagnation in smartphone design has resulted in cliched smartphones across categories, Samsung seems to be breaking new ground with every iteration of its Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series. While the former has garnered a reputation for being a mean machine, the Galaxy Z Flip is considered to be more of a looker with its uncommon comeliness and style profile. However, the Flip matches its guise with a powerful performance that could go toe to toe with every other phone in its category. We used the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 for a week, here is our in-depth review. Read Also: Nothing Phone 1 Review: A statement piece

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes in a sleek black box, which contains the device and a USB Type-C charging cable. There’s some reading material and a SIM ejector tool in the supplementary box inside, but you don’t get a power adapter, which seems to be the norm these days when it comes to premium smartphones. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display The smartphone itself has a nice, firm feel to it which you quickly notice as soon as you take it out of the box and place it on your palm. The aluminium frame adds to the premium feel and robustness of the compact smartphone. The back metal panels get the Gorilla Glass Victus+ treatment. When it comes to looks, the Flip 4 isn’t all that different from its predecessor, bar a few minor upgrades. Samsung has retained the 1.9-inch Super AMOLED cover display which is housed next to the camera unit. The metal spine has the Samsung branding engraved on it. The main 12MP sensor has been tweaked a bit, but it isn’t a big departure from the predecessor and you won’t notice the change unless you’re looking for it. The flatter edges are a distinguishing factor, though, and improve how the phone feels in your hand, playing into its ‘blingy’ aesthetic. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display Making the switch from a traditional smartphone, we had our apprehensions about the phone slipping out of our hand, but it doesn’t take long to get adjusted to its form and the metal frame does inspire a lot of confidence while handling the phone. Once you get used to it, it’ll be hard not to fidget with it. On the right side, you’ll find the volume rocker key and the power button which also serves as a fingerprint sensor. The SIM card slot is placed on the left, while the USB port, microphone, and speaker grille are housed at the bottom. At the top of the phone is placed a secondary speaker. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display Moving on to the most interesting feature, the Flip 4 can be unfolded with one hand, but it requires some practice and you will have to use a finger between the display as a pivot. Slamming it shut does trigger a warm feeling of nostalgia that will certainly remind you of the snappy flip phones of the past. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display The outer cover display lights up every time you fold the phone and shows the clock. Samsung has offered a lot of customisation options for this display, ranging from different clock themes to widgets for music player, calendar, weather, alarm, recorder, step counter, and a lot more. Swiping to the right reveals the notification panel where you can quickly respond to texts with auto-replies and even preview the images that get sent to you. However, there is no keyboard functionality that you get in the Galaxy Smart Watches. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display Pressing the power button twice activates the dual camera unit and you can access it from the cover window itself. Swiping to the sides helps you access the photo, video, and portrait modes while swiping vertically switches between the primary and ultra-wide lens. Pretty neat. While there is still room for improvement, the cover screen covers all the basic functions that may seem too trivial to open the phone for. Moving on, the primary 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display is quite fluid, owing to the 120Hz variable refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 1200 nits, the display doesn’t drop any vividness even in a bright outdoor environment. The 10MP selfie camera is housed in a punch hole cut out. The screen-to-body ratio is 85.4%, something you expect from a flip phone for now, but always hope that you get a full edge-to-edge display in the next few iterations. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display The display crease is still very much prominent, but it doesn’t amount to be a distraction. It does tend to blend in when you’re holding the phone upright and in a direct line of vision but becomes noticeable as soon as the phone is held at an angle. We streamed Rings of Power on Amazon Prime, and the display did justice to the colour palette, producing well-balanced lucid images. The crease gets less and less noticeable over a period of time.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display
Split-screen mode
The ‘Flex Mode’ offered by the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been refined further, and can now force apps that aren’t optimised for it to work in a limited capacity. The native Samsung apps work smoothly with the Flex Mode, but there are still some questions regarding its practicality. The Flex Mode does shine when it comes to apps that support the split screen mode. Watching YouTube videos in the upper display panel while browsing Reddit in the lower panel proved to be a delightful experience, one that definitely cannot be replicated in the same capacity in traditional smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: Design and Display
Spotify on Flex Mode
With Flex Mode, you also get quick tools for taking a screenshot, notification menu, brightness and volume in the lower menu, as well as the option to turn the lower display panel into a mini trackpad with a small cursor appearing on the upper panel. You can place your Flip on a table and browse the apps with one finger using the trackpad. Since this mode is still in its nascency, there are obviously some practicality issues but we hope Samsung finesses it in future. However, it plays highly into the aesthetics of the phone and stands as one of the unique things you can do with your flip device.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 review: Performance and Cameras

With a phone that is heavily reliant on its aesthetics, performance often takes a backseat. Manufacturers are usually willing to make a trade-off by going all in with the looks, leaving a lot to be desired with the performance. We are happy to report that with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, this is certainly not the case. One of the improvements that the Flip 4 makes over its predecessor is the switch to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which offers better power efficiency and faster graphics. On top of that, you get an octa-core processor along with Adreno 730. Storage options include 128GB + 8GB, 256GB + 8GB, and 512GB + 8GB. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 review: Performance and Cameras OS duties are handled by Android 12, skinned with One UI 4.1.1. There are a couple of bloatware apps (Facebook, Spotify, and Netflix), which can be easily removed, but it is never a good look on premium smartphones. The OS offers the user advanced control over the device, which is especially welcome when looks are such an integral part of the phone. The cover screen can be customised with fun themes and you can add widgets according to your liking. The more you dig into the more fun your experience will become. We played Call of Duty Mobile, Garena Free Fire, and Apex Legends on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, and were pleased with the smooth gaming experience which presented no frame drops or pesky lags. The crease can be felt at the centre but it isn’t too prominent to complain about. The phone starts heating after the first 30 minutes of gaming but cools down pretty quickly when you put it down. On the Geekbench 5 test, Flip 4 scored 838 points, placing it with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. On the Geekbench 5 test, Flip 4 scored 838 The battery pack has been upgraded to 3,700mAh from 3,300mAh and comes with wireless charging. But there are still some previous issues that have not been entirely addressed in this aspect. Firstly, while there is a fast charging option, the smartphone takes a long time to charge. We used a 22.5W adapter and it took an hour and forty minutes to charge the phone from 15% to 100%. When it comes to battery performance, there is a slight improvement over the Flip 3, largely due to the power efficiency of the SD8+ chipset, but it can still get a lot better. Over a day of moderate to slight-heavy usage, the phone was left with a 10-15% charge by the end of the day. You’ll have to be really conservative with your usage if you want the phone to last until the next day. Moving on to the camera unit, the primary 12MP sensor has been upgraded, which Samsung claims is brighter than the one on Flip 3. There is still no telephoto lens as the Flip 4 comes with a 12MP primary and 12MP ultrawide lens. But these dual lenses do a lot of heavy lifting and produce excellent results in a diverse range of conditions. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 review: Performance and Cameras

Ultrawide lens
Outdoor photography in bright daylight conditions produced well-balanced images with colours that ‘pop’. The contrast and saturation were managed well by the image processor, and the pictures managed to capture a lot of detail. There is no significant drop in quality while using the ultra-wide lens, as the colours were well presented in the resulting images, with no dullness.

Regular mode vs Night mode
The upgraded sensor clearly makes a difference in low light conditions as the photos we took were detailed and sharp, with no overbearing noise. However, the images get quite grainy when it gets dark, and you will have to turn on the night mode to take decent pictures. Once the night mode is activated, the image quality immediately shoots up and the grain is smoothened out.
Portrait Mode
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 review: Performance and Cameras Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 review: Performance and Cameras The 10MP selfie camera is a delight to use as well, as the pictures produced some great colour balance and warmth, capturing even the finer details. You can even flip the phone shut and use the front camera unit to take selfies and record 4k videos at 30/60fps. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 review: Performance and Cameras One of the highlights of using the camera on the Flip 4 is its ability to take pictures while it’s at a perpendicular angle, resting on a surface. You can take pictures from several different unique angles, which just isn’t possible with a regular smartphone. You can record stable videos while resting the phone on a table, something that will appeal to vloggers and content creators. Verdict

While there aren’t a lot of upgrades over the Flip 3, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is still a phone that we would highly recommend to first-time Flip buyers. The phone is unmatched when it comes to the design and form factor and does not fall behind when it comes to carrying out heavy-duty tasks. For Rs 89,999 you’re getting a phone that is bound to turn heads while offering a user experience that can not be easily replicated by traditional smartphones.

Pros

Impeccable Design Cover Display Versatile Camera

Cons

Slow battery charging Not a whole lot different than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Should you import iPhone 14: Price of iPhone 14 series in India compared to other countries

The highly awaited iPhone 14 series was just revealed by Apple globally. The company has introduced a total of 4 devices- iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This year again the iPhone costs more in India than it does in other nations like the US, UK, Dubai and China. To recall, last year countries like Dubai, the US, Hong Kong, Canada, China, UK and others were selling the iPhone 13 series at a significantly lesser price. However this year also the price of the iPhone 14 series is significantly higher in India than it is in the US, China, Australia, Dubai, and many others. In India, the price of iPhone 14 starts at Rs 79,900 whereas the Plus variant will be available at a starting price of Rs 89,990. The price of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will begin at Rs 1,29,900 and Rs 1,39,900 respectively. Note that this year the pricing of the iPhone 14 in India has been even higher than in the US, there is a huge difference of about Rs 25,000. In the US the price of the iPhone 14 starts at $799 which translates to Rs 64,000 while the price of the Plus model begins at $899 which is about Rs 72,000. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are available at a starting price of $999 and $1,099 which translates to Rs 80,000 and Rs 88,000 respectively. Similarly, the starting price of the iPhone 14 is £849 (Rs 78,000) while the price of the iPhone 14 Plus starts at £949 (Rs 87,000). Moreover, the iPhone 14 Pro’s starting price is £1,099 which is about Rs 1lakh and the iPhone 14 Pro Max is priced from £1,199 (roughly Rs 1.1lakh) For the Dubai the buyers can purchase the iPhone 14 at a staring price of AED 3,399 (Rs 74,000), iPhone 14 Plus at AED 3,799 (Rs 83,000), iPhone 14 Pro at AED 4,299 (Rs 94,000) and iPhone 14 Pro Max at AED 4,699 (Rs 1lakh). For the Chinese, Apple iPhone 13 costs CNY 5,999 for the standard model, CNY 6,799 for the Plus, CNY 7,399 for the Pro model and CNY 8,999 for the Pro Max. In Australia iPhone 14 will come at a starting price of $1,399 (Rs 76,000). Whereas the Plus variant will begin at $1,579 (Rs 86,000). On the other hand, the Pro and Pro Max will come at a starting price of $1,749 (Rs 95,000) and $1,899 (Rs 1lakh) respectively. For Japan, Apple is making the iPhone 14 series available at a starting price of JPY 1,19,800 (Rs 67,000) for the standard variant and Plus model at JPY 1,34,800 (Rs 75,000). The price of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in Japan will begin at JPY 1,49,800 (Rs 83,000) and JPY 1,64,800 (Rs 92,000).

Should you import iPhone 14 from other countries?

Importing an iPhone from other markets/countries was possible till last year but things have changed this time. However, there is a huge price difference between India and the US. You may not be able to bring it from the US which means getting an iPhone from the US will be of no use since every iPhone 14 in the US accepts eSIM and there is no SIM tray. On the other hand, the emergency satellite connectivity capability of the iPhone 14 series is not available if you purchase an iPhone from China Mainland or Hong Kong. Instead, you can try getting an iPhone from Dubai if your relative or friend is coming to India.
